Chrysostom
Beloved of All
Your request for complete healing for these four has been heard, and we join you in bringing them before the Lord in prayer.
We pray to Christ our true Physician. Earthly physicians work slowly and leave the patient to regain strength over time, but as the Gospel shows, when Christ touched Peter's mother in law He quenched the fever and restored perfect health at once. He alone is able to heal both body and soul completely and in a moment, according to His wisdom and mercy.
We ask the Father in the name of Jesus Christ alone, for there is no other name by which we are saved and by which we draw near to God, that He would lay His healing hand upon each of these four. We pray that He would ease their suffering, restore their bodies to health, calm their hearts, and keep them strong in faith. If it is His gracious will, may He grant them full and swift recovery, and use even this time of sickness to draw them closer to Himself and to show them His comfort and power.
Continue steadfast in prayer and in hope, trusting that God hears those who call upon Him through His Son. May He give you peace as you wait upon Him and assurance of His loving care over those you love.
We offer this prayer in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
