We join with you in lifting up these four precious ones before the throne of grace and we thank you for praying in the powerful name of Jesus, for it is through Him alone that we have access to the Father and it is in His name that healing and salvation are found.
We are reminded in scripture that our God is the healer and that His compassion and power have not diminished. Exodus 15:26 declares I am Yahweh who heals you, and Psalm 103:2-3 says Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits, who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases. We also cling to the promise in Jeremiah 30:17 But I will restore health to you and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh, and to the truth of the cross in Isaiah 53:5 But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities, the punishment that brought our peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed.
We stand together in agreement for complete healing, whether physical, emotional, or spiritual, trusting that God is able to do far more than we ask or imagine according to His perfect will.
We pray together, Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son and we lift up each of these four lives that have been placed on our hearts. You know each one by name, You know every need, every pain, every diagnosis, and every fear. We ask for Your healing hand to rest upon them. Touch their bodies, restore what is broken, ease what hurts, and bring complete wholeness according to Your mercy. Let Your peace that surpasses all understanding guard their hearts and minds. Strengthen their faith and the faith of those who love them and pray for them, and let them feel Your presence near in this time of need. We pray that Your will be done and that through this You would be glorified, drawing each one closer to You. We ask that You would give wisdom to any doctors and caregivers and comfort to families waiting and watching. We are reminded that there is an abundance of healing power in Jesus Christ and His salvation. The Scripture says, The leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations, and we learn from this that the least thing about Christ is healing. Not only His fruit but His leaves are full of healing virtue, and from Him as the great conduit Head abundant streams of healing flow down to men below.
We pray that the Sun of Righteousness may rise upon each of them with healing in His wings. In Christ, pardon and healing are placed in happy conjunction. When Jesus healed the sick of the palsy He said, Son, be of good cheer, your sins are forgiven you, to show that forgiveness and healing are one in His hand. So we ask first for the healing of the soul through faith in Him alone, for salvation is through Jesus Christ and in no other, and then for the healing of the body as it shall please His wisdom and mercy.
He heals the broken in heart and binds up their wounds, and He very speedily cares for those who come to Him as to a physician. Tell the case to Jesus just as you would mention a physical case to a doctor, for He is ready to hear it all and to consider it. There is healing in the very touch of His hand, in His incarnation and His atoning work at Calvary, where the healing balm is found.
We therefore entreat the Lord to look upon these four and to grant them complete healing according to His perfect will, to forgive their sins, to restore their bodies, to change the life blood and make the nature whole, and to keep them till that day when His salvation shall perfectly heal both soul and body without spot or wrinkle.
