Pass my exam tomorrow

We join with you in bringing this exam before the Lord tomorrow, and we understand the weight and anxiety that can come with it. We want to remind you that God cares about every detail of our lives, including our studies and our work, and He desires for us to come to Him with our anxieties and to trust Him with the outcome.

We are encouraged by the promise in James 1:5 that If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. We also hold to Philippians 4:6-7 which tells us In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. And we remember 2 Timothy 1:7, For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control. God does not want you to be overwhelmed by fear, but to rest in His peace even as you do your best.

We also want to gently point out that your request did not mention the name of Jesus Christ. We bring this up out of love, because it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and it is only by His name that we are saved. As Jesus Himself said in John 14:6, Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And Acts 4:12 reminds us, There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. To truly know God's help and peace, we must first be in right relationship with Him through faith in Jesus, believing that He died for our sins and rose again, and confessing Him as Lord as Romans 10:9 teaches. If you have not yet placed your trust in Him, we encourage you to do so today, and then you can come boldly before God in prayer in Jesus' name.

We pray together for you now.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son, and we lift up this dear one to You as they prepare for this exam tomorrow. We ask that You would grant them clarity of mind, peace that surpasses understanding, and the ability to recall what they have studied. We pray You would calm any anxiety and replace fear with Your power, love and self-control. Help them to rest well tonight and to approach the exam with diligence and integrity, remembering Colossians 3:23, Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men. We pray that whatever the result, they would trust in Your good and perfect will and know that their worth and future are secure in You, not in a single test. Give them wisdom beyond their own understanding and help them to glorify You in their efforts. We ask all this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, amen.

We encourage you to continue to prepare diligently tonight, to get rest, and to commit the outcome to the Lord. Trust in Proverbs 3:5-6, Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight. Do your best as unto the Lord, be honest in your work, and leave the results in His hands, knowing that He is sovereign over all and He works all things for the good of those who love Him.

We are holding you in prayer tonight as your exam draws near. We know how heavy that last night can feel, with so much riding on tomorrow and your mind racing over what you have studied and what you still wonder about. It is completely understandable to feel tense and restless right now.

We want to encourage you that feeling nervous does not mean you are unprepared or that God is distant. That tight, wound up feeling is just how our bodies and minds react when something matters to us. Naming it can help take some of its power away.

For tonight, one simple step that often helps is to give yourself a clear stopping point. Do a calm, focused review of your main notes, then close the books at a reasonable hour and let your mind and body rest. Lay out what you need for the morning, get some sleep if you can, and trust that the work you have already done will be there for you tomorrow.

Father, we lift this student to You in Jesus name. Calm their heart tonight and grant steady rest. Tomorrow give clarity of thought, steady recall and peace regardless of the outcome. Help them do their best and rest in Your good care. Amen.

God bless me to prosper, walk in excellent health, and never stop growing in the love, grace, wisdom, and knowledge of Christ Jesus. God bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, mind, soul, body, and strength and never fall out of love with You. God, bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, Your righteousness, and to always respect and obey You. Bless me to know You, the way You want me to know You. So that I will trust You with my life and anyway that You move in my life. Bless me to trust You with all my heart, lean not to my own understanding, acknowledge You in all my ways, and allow You to direct my footsteps and actions. Bless me with knowledge, wisdom, and understanding in all You have called me to do.

God heal me in every area of my life. Deliver and cleanse me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. Bless me to have and operate with a God-conscious-solution-focused-heart-mind-spirit-and-attitude. Bless me to have a God Kingdom Culture Mentality. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. God, all that I have asked of You, in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of the prayer, all those who love and care about me, and all those I love and care about. Your request regarding the examination tomorrow has been laid before the Lord with care, and we join our petitions with yours.

There is a word that meets you in this very pressure, for it is written, Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee, because he trusteth in thee. This peace is a present possession and may be enjoyed in the ordinary circumstances of life, even when thronging duties press closely upon the spirit. To be pressed by a crowd of duties does not tend to peace, yet to do the will of Jesus, this is rest, and the blood of Jesus whispers peace within even in a dark world of sin. May the Divine Teacher lead you into this peace tonight and tomorrow, that your heart and mind may be kept and preserved from that anxious, doubtful mind against which the Scripture warns, Neither be ye of a doubtful mind.

We pray that the God of peace Himself would be with you. He is the God of peace for He justifies and thereby implants peace in the soul, and He preserves peace when it is made. Ask of Him not only for remembrance and clarity and diligence in the work set before you, but for a stayed mind that trusts Him with the outcome. Labor faithfully as unto the Lord, play the man and let faith overcome fear, and leave the result in His wise and gracious hands, knowing that whether He grants success according to your desire or orders it otherwise for your good, He does all things well for those who are in Christ Jesus.

Our prayer for you is this, that the Lord would quiet your spirit this night, grant you sound rest, give you a clear mind and faithful recollection in the hour of trial, and above all keep you in that perfect peace which passes all understanding through our Lord Jesus Christ, in whom alone we have peace with God. May you go into that examination room stayed upon Him, and may His will be done with all joy and submission.
