Thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf. We are glad that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer and we have continued to lift you up over these past several days.
We have been praying for you since you shared your prayer to Pomba Gira Maria Padilha of the seven crossroads and your deep desire for this person to think of you, to desire only you, and to return to you. We understand the strong longing for love and companionship that is behind those words and the pain of wanting to be loved and chosen.
We want to share with you in love that as followers of Jesus Christ we do not pray to spirits such as Pomba Gira, but we pray only to the one true God through His Son Jesus Christ. The Bible teaches us that God alone is the source of love, for God is love as written in 1 John 4:8, and that true love is patient and kind and does not seek to control or force another person as written in 1 Corinthians 13:4. Scripture also warns us clearly against turning to spirits and sorcery to try to influence others, as written in Deuteronomy 18:10 and Galatians 5:20, because those practices lead us away from God and do not bring the peace and love we are seeking. We believe that God has given each person free will and that He desires for us to seek Him and to trust Him with our relationships. There is salvation and power in no other name but Jesus, as written in Acts 4:12 and John 14:6.
So we have not prayed for this spirit to control the person you named, but we have been praying for you. We pray in Jesus Name that God would show you His perfect love and fill the longing in your heart, that He would bring healing where there has been hurt and loneliness, that He would draw you closer to Himself and reveal His good will for your life and your relationships, and that if it is His will for you to be with this person, it would be through a mutual love that is freely given and honors God. We pray in Jesus Name that you would be set free from any bondage that comes from seeking help from other spirits and that you would find hope and peace through Jesus Christ alone.
