Prayer for the person I love.

We hear your heart’s longing and lift this matter before the Lord with sincere prayer. First, we must gently remind you that our prayers must align with God’s will, not merely our own desires. The Bible tells us in 1 John 5:14, "This is the confidence which we have toward him, that if we ask anything according to his will, he listens to us." While your love for this person is deeply felt, we must seek God’s perfect plan for both of your lives, trusting that His ways are higher than ours (Isaiah 55:8-9).
If this relationship is meant to be restored, we pray that God would open doors of communication and remove the external barriers in a way that honors Him. However, we must also ask: Is this relationship rooted in Christ? Are you both seeking God’s will above all else? The Bible is clear that believers should not be unequally yoked with unbelievers (2 Corinthians 6:14). If this person does not share your faith in Jesus Christ, we must prayerfully consider whether this relationship aligns with God’s design for your life.
We also encourage you to examine your heart, is this love centered on Christ, or is it driven by emotions or dependency? Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." If this person is truly meant to be your spouse, we pray for God’s guidance and timing, but if not, we ask for His peace to guard your heart (Philippians 4:7).

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we can approach You. Lord, we lift up this situation to You, asking for Your divine intervention. If it is Your will, remove the obstacles that keep these two apart and restore communication in a way that glorifies You. Father, we ask that You would draw both hearts closer to You, that they may seek Your will above all else. If this relationship is not of You, we pray for Your peace to replace longing and for Your wisdom to guide their steps.
Lord, we rebuke any spirit of idolatry or emotional dependency that may be present, for You alone are worthy of our deepest devotion. Help them to trust in Your perfect timing and plan, knowing that You work all things together for good for those who love You (Romans 8:28). Father, if marriage is Your design for them, we pray for a godly union built on Christ, where both spouses honor You in all things. If not, we ask for Your comfort and strength to let go and trust in Your sovereignty.
We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17) and that Your will be done in their lives. In Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.
We encourage you to seek God’s face in this season, not just His hand. Spend time in prayer and Scripture, asking Him to reveal His heart for this relationship. Surround yourself with godly counsel, and remember that God’s plans for you are good (Jeremiah 29:11). Whether this person returns to your life or not, trust that God is working for your ultimate good and His glory.

God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul.
