We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up this burden of oppression and financial struggle. First, we give thanks to the Lord for His faithfulness, for every good and perfect gift comes from Him (James 1:17). We acknowledge that even in trials, He remains sovereign, and we trust in His provision.
Father, we rebuke the spirit of pride and blasphemy that would dare to exalt a person as "a little lower than God." Your Word declares, *"I am the Lord, and there is no other. I form the light and create darkness. I make peace and create calamity. I am the Lord, who does all these things"* (Isaiah 45:6-7). No human, no matter their wealth or influence, can compare to Your majesty. We pray that You would humble this woman and her mother, that they would recognize their need for You and turn from their arrogance. If they refuse to repent, we ask that You break their grip on those they oppress, including this dear brother or sister.
We also rebuke the spirit of financial bondage at work in this situation. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10), but Jesus came that we might have life—and have it abundantly. Lord, we ask that You open doors of opportunity that no man can shut (Revelation 3:8). Provide a stable job, one that honors You and allows for peace and prosperity. Meet every need according to Your riches in glory (Philippians 4:19), and grant wisdom in managing finances. We declare that this season of lack is temporary, and that You will restore what has been withheld unjustly.
We also lift up the cry for a closer walk with You. Trials have a way of refining our faith, and we pray that this time would draw this beloved one nearer to Your heart. Strengthen their trust in You, reminding them that *"those who seek the Lord shall not lack any good thing"* (Psalm 34:10). Help them to wait on You, knowing that You are a rewarder of those who diligently seek You (Hebrews 11:6).
Lastly, we pray for protection over their mind and spirit. The enemy would love to plant seeds of bitterness, envy, or despair, but we declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). Fill them with Your peace, which surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7), and let them rest in the knowledge that You are their Provider, their Defender, and their Strong Tower.
Heavenly Father, we stand in the gap for this dear one, believing that You hear their cry. We ask for Your divine intervention, for favor in the workplace, for financial breakthrough, and for a deepened relationship with You. May they walk in the freedom and victory that Christ purchased on the cross. We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, for there is power in no other name. Amen.
