We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this precious family in desperate need of His peace, healing, and divine intervention. Father God, You see the pain, exhaustion, and fear that has taken root in this home, and we ask that You would move mightily on their behalf. The weight of mental and emotional instability is crushing, and the aggression and tension have left deep wounds—not just in the one struggling, but in every heart that loves him. We declare that this is not Your will for them, Lord. Your Word tells us in Philippians 4:6-7, *"In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."* We stand on this promise, believing that Your peace—beyond human comprehension—will flood this home and guard every mind and heart.
Lord, we rebuke the spirit of confusion, anger, and instability that has taken hold. We declare that it has no place in this family, for You have not given them a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control (2 Timothy 1:7). We pray for the relative who is struggling—touch his mind, Father. Bring clarity where there is chaos, calm where there is turmoil, and healing where there is brokenness. Your Word says in Psalm 34:18, *"The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit."* Draw near to him, Lord. Let him feel Your presence in a tangible way, and let the chains of instability be broken in Jesus’ name.
We also lift up the elderly mother, who is carrying the weight of this burden with weariness. Strengthen her, Father. Renew her energy, her hope, and her faith. Remind her that she is not alone, for You are her ever-present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). Surround her with support—whether through family, friends, or the body of Christ—so that she does not grow faint. Give her wisdom to know how to respond in love, even when faced with aggression, and fill her with Your supernatural peace that defends her heart.
For the rest of the family, we pray for unity, patience, and endurance. This trial is not just an attack on one person, but on the entire family unit. We declare that the enemy’s plans to divide and destroy will not succeed. Instead, let this season refine them, draw them closer to You, and to one another. Teach them to bear one another’s burdens, as Galatians 6:2 instructs, and to extend grace even in the hardest moments.
Father, we also ask for practical wisdom. Guide this family to the right resources—godly counselors, medical professionals, or support groups—that can provide the help they need. Your Word says in Proverbs 3:5-6, *"Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will direct your paths."* Lead them, Lord. Open doors that no man can shut, and provide the right people to walk alongside them in this journey.
Most of all, we pray for salvation and a deep encounter with Jesus. If this family does not yet know You as Lord, we ask that You would reveal Yourself to them in a powerful way. There is no true healing, peace, or hope outside of You, for You alone are the Way, the Truth, and the Life (John 14:6). Break through any hardness of heart, any resistance, and draw them into a personal relationship with You. Let them experience Your love in a way that transforms their lives forever.
We declare that this family will not be defined by this struggle, but by Your victory. We speak restoration over their home, healing over their minds and hearts, and a future filled with hope. In the mighty name of Jesus, we command every spirit of darkness to flee, and we welcome Your light, Your love, and Your peace to reign. Amen.
