Disciple of Prayer
Greetings in the name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. I live by my son after my divorce. I have over the years supported my son financially. Even whilst staying with him I give my share but whenever it's his turn to pay for something it becomes a dispute. Please pray for me to one day become financially stable so I can live again on my own. Thank you. God bless.

We lift you up before the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, grateful that you have come to us with your heart’s burden. Your faithfulness in providing for your son over the years is commendable, reflecting the love of a parent who seeks to honor God even in difficult circumstances. Yet we also hear the weariness in your words—the strain of an uneven partnership in sharing responsibilities, the longing for independence, and the desire for stability that only God can provide.

The Scriptures remind us in **Proverbs 22:6**, *"Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it."* You have sown into your son’s life, and we pray that the Lord will bring forth fruit from those seeds, including a heart of gratitude and responsibility. However, we must also gently address the dynamic you’ve described. While it is right to help our children, there comes a time when healthy boundaries must be established for their growth and your well-being. **2 Thessalonians 3:10** tells us, *"For even when we were with you, we commanded you this: ‘If anyone is not willing to work, neither let him eat.’"* This principle applies not only to laziness but to the broader call for each person to carry their own weight in responsibility. Your son, as an adult, should be contributing equitably—not just when it suits him, but as a matter of integrity and maturity.

Your request for financial stability is one we bring before the Lord with urgency. He is Jehovah-Jireh, the God who provides, and He sees your need. **Philippians 4:19** assures us, *"My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus."* Yet we also encourage you to seek wisdom in stewardship and to trust God’s timing. If there are steps you can take—whether through further education, career opportunities, or budgeting—pray for the Lord to open doors and grant you favor. At the same time, surrender your anxiety to Him, for **Matthew 6:33** says, *"But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well."*

We also sense a deeper longing in your heart—not just for financial freedom, but for emotional and spiritual renewal. Living in a tense environment can drain your joy, and we pray that the Lord restores your peace. **Psalm 37:4-5** promises, *"Also delight yourself in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the Lord. Trust also in him, and he will do this."* Perhaps this season is an invitation to lean more fully on Him, to rediscover your identity in Christ beyond your role as a provider, and to step into the future He has prepared for you.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up our sister who has faithfully loved and provided for her son. Lord, You see the weariness in her heart, the frustration of uneven burdens, and the longing for stability and peace. We ask that You open doors of opportunity for her—doors that no man can shut—so that she may find financial independence and the freedom to live according to Your will. Provide for her in ways that exceed her expectations, and grant her wisdom to manage what You entrust to her.

Father, we also pray for her son. Softening his heart, Lord, that he may take responsibility with integrity and gratitude. Convict him where there is selfishness or entitlement, and raise up godly influences in his life to guide him toward maturity. If there are unresolved issues between them, bring healing and clear communication, but also give our sister the strength to set boundaries that honor You.

Most of all, Lord, renew her spirit. Restore her joy and remind her that her worth is not found in what she can provide, but in who she is in Christ. Fill her with Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, and lead her into the next chapter of her life with confidence in Your goodness.

We rebuke any spirit of fear, anxiety, or discouragement in Jesus’ name. We declare that she is not forgotten, that her labor is seen by You, and that her future is held securely in Your hands. May she walk in the assurance that You are working all things together for her good, and that her best days are still ahead—days marked by Your provision, Your presence, and Your purpose.

In the powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen.

Stand firm in your faith, dear sister. The Lord has not abandoned you, and this season of struggle will not be wasted. Trust Him to lead you into a place of stability and peace. If there are practical steps you can take—such as seeking financial counseling, exploring job opportunities, or even having a candid conversation with your son about expectations—pray for the Lord’s guidance in those areas. And remember, you are not defined by your circumstances, but by the love of Christ who calls you His own. Walk in that truth today.

Hey there,

We're here with you, praying for your situation. We understand the strain you're feeling, the tug between wanting to help your son and needing to establish healthy boundaries. It's like you're in a tight spot, and we're right here with you, lifting you up in prayer.

We believe that God sees your heart, your faithfulness in providing for your son, and your longing for stability. We're claiming Philippians 4:19 over you, "My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus." We're asking God to open doors for you, to provide for you in ways that only He can, and to give you the wisdom to manage what He entrusts to you.

We also want to encourage you to keep communicating with your son. It's important to express your needs and expectations clearly, but also to listen to him. Maybe there are some underlying issues that can be resolved through open, honest conversation. Remember, you're not just a provider, you're his mom, and your love and guidance are invaluable.

Let's pray together:

"Dear Lord, we come to you today on behalf of our sister. We ask that you bless her with financial stability, but also with peace and joy. Help her to trust in you, to know that you are working everything out for her good. Give her wisdom in her dealings with her son, and help him to grow in responsibility and gratitude. Most of all, Lord, fill her with your love and presence. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

You're not alone in this. We're here, praying with you, believing with you, and trusting that God will lead you into a place of stability and peace. Keep holding on, and remember, your worth is not defined by your circumstances, but by the love of Christ who calls you His own.

I prayed that God in Jesus' name will answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God Loves You. Thank You Jesus!!!

I feel in love with a man that has a family. The first time we clocked eyes, I was taken away. By that time I felt like I knew him from my past or something. Instead of me asking where I know him, he asked the question first; I was flattered. Each day when we bump into each other, he asked my...
