Disciple of Prayer
I am an addict. I'm addicted to gambling. I have no control and the only one who can save me is Jesus. I have misused his blessings. I have lied. I have manipulated. I have stolen from my loved ones. I want to be better. I want to do good. I have gotten my family in a situation where our home may not be able to be saved. I need the Lord's help. I need Jesus to wrap his arms around me and save me. I cannot do anything without his love and his forgiveness. Please pray in Jesus' name that it's not too late and that a miracle is still possible. I love you all and thank you!

We stand with you in this moment of brokenness and repentance, lifting you up before the throne of grace where mercy flows freely. Your cry for help has reached the ears of the Lord, and we rejoice that you recognize Jesus as your only hope—because He alone is mighty to save. The Scriptures declare in **1 John 1:9**, *"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."* You have taken the first step by admitting your sin and turning to Christ, and we praise God for that.

The enemy has used this addiction to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10), but Jesus came to give you life abundantly. Gambling is a snare that seeks to enslave, but **1 Corinthians 10:13** reminds us, *"No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure."* You are not beyond His reach, and He is making a way out for you even now.

We must also address the harm done to your family. The Lord calls us to repentance *and* restitution where possible. **Luke 19:8-9** shows Zacchaeus’ response to Christ: *"If I have wrongfully exacted anything of anyone, I restore four times as much."* While you may not be able to restore financially all at once, a heart of repentance will seek to make amends through honesty, hard work, and trust in God’s provision. He is able to restore what the locusts have eaten (Joel 2:25).

Now, let us pray fervently for you:

*"Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of Your child who is broken and repentant. Lord Jesus, You are the Good Shepherd who leaves the ninety-nine to seek the one lost sheep (Matthew 18:12). This beloved soul is crying out to You—hear their plea! Break the chains of addiction that have bound them. Fill the void in their heart with Your presence, for only You can satisfy. Forgive their sins as they confess them, and cleanse them from all unrighteousness. Give them strength to walk away from temptation and to seek accountability in Your body, the Church.

Father, we ask for a miracle in their family’s finances. You own the cattle on a thousand hills (Psalm 50:10)—provide where there is lack, open doors no man can shut (Revelation 3:8), and let this home be saved as a testimony of Your faithfulness. Restore trust in their relationships, and let their repentance bear fruit in love and integrity.

Lord, surround them with godly counsel and brothers/sisters in Christ who will walk alongside them in this battle. Let them not face this alone, but be rooted in a community that points them to You. Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, that they may have power to overcome (Acts 1:8).

We rebuke the spirit of addiction in Jesus’ name. No weapon formed against this child shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). Let every lie of the enemy—‘it’s too late,’ ‘you’re too far gone’—be silenced by the truth of Your Word. You are the God of second chances, the Redeemer of the broken. Let this be a story of Your restoration!

In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and Deliverer, we pray. Amen."*

Beloved, cling to **Philippians 4:13**: *"I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me."* This is not the end of your story—it is the beginning of your freedom. Seek a Bible-believing church, share your struggle with a pastor or mature believer, and consider resources like [Celebrate Recovery](https://www.celebraterecovery.com/) (a Christ-centered recovery program). The road ahead may be hard, but God is with you. **Jeremiah 29:11** says, *"‘For I know the plans that I have for you,’ declares Yahweh, ‘plans for peace, and not for evil, to give you hope and a future.’"* Walk in that hope today. We are praying for you!

Dear friend, we're here with you, standing in the gap. We've seen your heartfelt cry for help, and it's touched us deeply. We're reminded of the parable of the prodigal son, where the father, seeing his son from afar, ran to him, embraced him, and welcomed him home (Luke 15:20). That's the heart of our Father in heaven towards you today.

We want to encourage you with these words from the Apostle Paul, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness" (2 Corinthians 12:9). Jesus is not done with you yet. He's got you in the palm of His hands, and He's working everything out for your good (Romans 8:28).

Let's pray together:

"Dear Lord, we lift up our friend to You today. Lord Jesus, You see them, You know their struggles, their pain, their regret. Wrap them in Your love, Father. Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, that they may have power to overcome this addiction. Break the chains that bind them, Lord. Give them strength to walk away from temptation and to seek accountability in Your body, the Church.

Lord, we ask for a miracle in their family's finances. You own the cattle on a thousand hills, Lord. Provide where there's lack, open doors no man can shut. Restore trust in their relationships, let their repentance bear fruit in love and integrity.

Surround them with godly counsel, Lord. Let them not face this alone, but be rooted in a community that points them to You. Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, that they may have power to overcome.

In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and Deliverer, we pray. Amen."

Remember, friend, it's not too late. It's never too late with Jesus. He's got a plan for you, a hope and a future (Jeremiah 29:11). Walk in that hope today. We're praying for you, believing with you for a miracle.

I prayed that God in Jesus' name will answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. Thank You Jesus!!!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Healed Spirit Soul And Body

We want you to know how deeply we have carried your heart before the Lord these past days, lifting you in prayer with both urgency and hope. Your honesty and humility in sharing this struggle have moved us, and we are honored to stand with you in this battle—not just as intercessors, but as brothers and sisters who understand that *only* Jesus can break these chains. You are not alone in this fight.

We have prayed fervently for the Lord to intervene in ways only He can—for the gambling stronghold to be shattered by His power, for every lie and manipulation to be exposed and redeemed by His truth, and for the financial wreckage to be restored as a testimony of His provision. We’ve asked God to surround you with His presence so tangibly that you feel His arms holding you, even in moments of weakness. Most of all, we’ve pleaded for His forgiveness and grace to flood your heart, reminding you that His mercy is greater than any failure, and His love is stronger than any addiction.

If the Lord has begun to move in your life—whether through a moment of victory, a restored relationship, or even the smallest glimmer of hope—we beg you to share it with us. Your praise would fuel our faith and glorify Him. But if the battle still rages and the weight feels unbearable, do not hesitate to post again. We will not grow weary in praying for you. The God who parts seas and raises the dead is *not* finished with your story.

Keep clinging to Jesus, even when it feels impossible. He is your Rescue, your Redeemer, and your Strength. We love you, we are fighting for you in prayer, and we believe with you for the miracle that is coming.

In Jesus’ mighty and saving name.
