Urgent prayer needed

Gwuolxinron

Disciple of Prayer
I am in urgent need of prayer cover in this hour. The Lord in His grace set me free from addictions to alcohol, gambling, sex, pornography & masturbation from my time in the world. However, today I fell in all areas & it has absolutely devastated me :-( I went into town this morning & the first thing I noticed was a compulsion to lust with my eyes. Shortly after doing my shopping, I walked straight to the bottle shop & bought alcohol, as if on autopilot. I then got home, poured my first drink & then downloaded a gambling app on my mobile phone. I played online pokie machines for about an hour (free) & then deleted the app. By this time, I was intoxicated & weak in my flesh. I then went online & looked at pornography, accessed online adult chat rooms, participated in webcam & phone conversations that were ungodly and perverse - using a false alias & identity. I confess and repent of all my sins & need urgent prayer for cleansing, deliverance, healing & forgiveness. God bless.

We hear your cry for help and stand with you in this moment of deep struggle and repentance. Your honesty before the Lord is a powerful first step, and we join you in pleading for His mercy, strength, and complete restoration. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that you may have life—and have it abundantly (John 10:10). Your freedom was won on the cross, and though the battle is fierce, victory is already yours in Christ.

First, we rebuke the spirit of addiction and bondage that has sought to reclaim ground in your life. The Word declares, *"No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it"* (1 Corinthians 10:13). You are not powerless, for the same Spirit that raised Christ from the dead dwells in you (Romans 8:11). We command every chain of lust, alcohol, gambling, and perversion to break now in the mighty name of Jesus. Every lie that says, *"You can’t resist"* or *"You’ve gone too far"* is silenced by the blood of the Lamb.

We also address the deception of isolation and shame. The enemy wants you to hide in darkness, but Scripture says, *"If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness"* (1 John 1:9). Your repentance is not in vain—God’s mercy is greater than your failure. Yet we must also warn against the cycle of sin and remorse without true transformation. James 1:22 warns, *"But be doers of the word, and not only hearers, deluding your own selves."* Repentance must be accompanied by a turning away from sin and a pursuit of holiness. This means cutting off every access point to temptation—deleting apps, avoiding triggering places, and filling your mind with truth.

We pray now for your complete deliverance and healing:

*"Heavenly Father, we come before You with broken hearts, grieving over the sin that has entangled our brother. Yet we rejoice in Your unfailing love, for You are near to the brokenhearted and save those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). Lord, we ask for a fresh outpouring of Your Holy Spirit to flood his mind, will, and emotions. Wash him clean by the blood of Jesus, and create in him a pure heart, O God; renew a right spirit within him (Psalm 51:10). Break every stronghold of addiction, and let no weapon formed against him prosper (Isaiah 54:17).*

*Father, we ask for godly accountability and fellowship. Surround him with believers who will walk with him, pray for him, and hold him up when he is weak. Lead him to a local church where he can grow in faith and find support. Remove every lie of shame and condemnation, for there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus (Romans 8:1).*

*Lord, we declare that he is more than a conqueror through Christ who loved him (Romans 8:37). Strengthen him to flee temptation, to submit to You, and to resist the devil so that he will flee (James 4:7). Fill him with Your peace that surpasses all understanding, and let him walk in the freedom You died to give him. We ask all these things in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, the Name above every name, the only Name by which we are saved (Acts 4:12). Amen."*

Now, we urge you to take immediate action. Delete every app, block every website, and dispose of every bottle of alcohol. If possible, ask a trusted believer to help you install accountability software on your devices. Flee from every situation that tempts you—*"Flee sexual immorality!"* (1 Corinthians 6:18) and *"Flee from youthful lusts"* (2 Timothy 2:22). Replace these habits with godly disciplines: prayer, Scripture reading, worship, and serving others. The battle is not yours alone—God fights for you, but you must position yourself for victory.

Remember, your identity is not in your failures but in Christ. You are a new creation (2 Corinthians 5:17), and though the enemy roars like a lion, he is already defeated. Stand firm in your faith, and do not grow weary in doing good, for in due season you will reap if you do not give up (Galatians 6:9). We stand with you, believing for your complete breakthrough and restoration. You are not alone.

We're here with you, brother. We've been where you are, and we know the power of God's grace to heal and restore. Let's pray together:

"Lord Jesus, we come before You, broken but hopeful. We confess the sins of today - the lust, the alcohol, the gambling, the perversion. But we also claim Your promise: 'If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness' (1 John 1:9). We ask for Your forgiveness, Your cleansing, and Your healing. We need a fresh touch of Your Holy Spirit to fill us, guide us, and empower us to resist temptation.

Help us, Lord, to walk in the light as You are in the light. Give us the strength to cut off every access point to these temptations - delete the apps, avoid the places, fill our minds with Your truth. Surround us with accountability - people who will walk with us, pray for us, and hold us up when we're weak.

Lord, we claim Your victory over these strongholds. We declare that we are more than conquerors through Christ who loved us (Romans 8:37). Fill us with Your peace, and let us walk in the freedom You died to give us.

In Jesus' mighty name, we pray. Amen."
