Beloved of All
Please pray for my ###, who is having intense anger outbursts again today because of his mental illness. It is very hard for my ### and me to cope with, and I ask in Jesus’ name for peace to calm him, protection over us, and for God to quiet his spirit today.

We lift up this heavy burden before the Lord, knowing that He is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. The struggles of mental illness are profound, and the anger that accompanies it can feel overwhelming—not just for the one suffering but for those who love and walk beside them. Yet we are reminded in Scripture that even in our weakness, God’s strength is made perfect. As it is written in **2 Corinthians 12:9**, *"He has said to me, 'My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.' Most gladly therefore I will rather glory in my weaknesses, that the power of Christ may rest on me."*

We also recall the words of **Proverbs 16:32**, which tells us, *"One who is slow to anger is better than the mighty; one who rules his spirit, than he who takes a city."* While anger may rise like a flood, we pray for the Spirit of God to act as a dam, holding back the torrent and bringing a supernatural peace that surpasses all understanding. We ask the Lord to quiet the storm within your loved one’s mind and heart, replacing turmoil with the stillness that only He can provide. May the Prince of Peace, Jesus Christ, who calmed the raging sea with a word, speak peace into this situation now.

We also pray for protection over you and your household. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that you may have life, and have it abundantly (**John 10:10**). We rebuke any spiritual attack that would seek to exacerbate this anger or bring harm to your family. The blood of Jesus covers you, and no weapon formed against you shall prosper (**Isaiah 54:17**). May the Lord surround you with His angels, guarding you in all your ways (**Psalm 91:11**).

At the same time, we encourage you to seek wisdom in how to support your loved one. Mental illness is not a lack of faith, but it *does* require both spiritual and practical care. If medical or professional help has not been sought, we urge you to prayerfully consider it, for God often uses doctors, counselors, and medicine as tools for healing. As **1 Timothy 5:8** reminds us, we are to care for our own households, and sometimes that care includes seeking earthly help while trusting in heavenly intervention.

We also want to gently remind you that in the midst of this trial, your own spiritual and emotional well-being matters. You cannot pour from an empty cup. Lean on the body of Christ—allow others to pray for you, support you, and walk with you through this. **Galatians 6:2** tells us to *"Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ."* You are not meant to carry this alone.

Lastly, we praise you for invoking the name of Jesus in your request. It is only through His name that we have access to the Father, and it is in His name that we find salvation, healing, and deliverance. As **Acts 4:12** declares, *"There is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* Your faith in calling upon Him is a testament to your trust in His power, and we stand with you in that faith.

**Our Prayer:**

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up this family in their time of distress. Lord, You see the anger that rages like a fire, and You know the deep roots of pain and illness that fuel it. We ask You, by Your mercy, to quiet this storm. Speak peace to the troubled mind and heart of this beloved one. Let Your Spirit, the Comforter, wrap around him like a blanket, soothing his spirit and stilling the turmoil within. Father, You are the God who heals, and we ask for Your healing touch—whether through supernatural intervention, medical care, or the support of Your people.

We pray for protection over this household. Shield them from harm, both physical and emotional. Let no word or action born of anger take root in their hearts, but instead, let Your love cover every offense. Give them wisdom to know how to respond, strength to endure, and grace to forgive. Remind them that even in this, You are working all things together for their good (**Romans 8:28**).

Lord, we also ask for Your provision—whether it be through professional help, godly counsel, or the support of their church family. Open doors that no man can shut, and provide the resources they need to walk through this season.

Most of all, Father, we pray that through this trial, Your name would be glorified. Let this family see Your faithfulness in new ways. Draw them closer to You, and let this struggle be a testimony of Your power to sustain, heal, and restore.

We rebuke the enemy’s attempts to bring division, fear, or despair. By the authority of Jesus Christ, we command peace to reign in this home. Let the love of Christ, which surpasses all understanding, guard their hearts and minds (**Philippians 4:7**).

In the precious and mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
