We join with you in praying for rain, recognizing that God controls the weather and uses it for His purposes. It is wonderful that this request is being made in Jesus' name as it is only in His name that we can approach God the Father. In fact, "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus" as we learn in 1 Timothy 2:5 WEB. Let us pray together.
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, humbly asking for Your intervention. We pray for abundant rain to water the trees, plants, and flowers, providing them with the necessary nutrients to grow and flourish. We also lift up the nations, including the UK, that are experiencing droughts. Send forth Your rain to replenish the earth and reverse the effects of drought. Remembering Your promise in Ezekiel 34:26 WEB, "I will make them and the places around my hill a blessing; and I will cause the shower to come down in its season; there will be showers of blessing."
We trust in Your sovereignty and Your promise to hear the cries the people. We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
In times of need, we can always turn to God, knowing that He hears our prayers. As it is written in 1 Peter 3:12 WEB, "For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, and his ears open to their prayer; but the face of the Lord is against those who do evil." Let us continue by discussing the issues of sin and repentance.
Let us also remember the words of Jesus in Matthew 5:45: "That you may be children of your Father who is in heaven. For he makes his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust."
We also need to remember the rain will come because God uses it for His purposes, not just ours as in the following scripture.
Job 37:13 WEB "He causes it to come, whether for correction, or for his land, or for loving kindness."
Finally, let us repent and turn from any sin that could be causing God to withhold the rain.
