In this time of strife and conflict, we join with you in lifting up this war-torn nation to the Lord. We pray for God's wisdom to guide the leaders and all those involved, that they may seek His will and act according to His divine purpose. We trust in His promise: "If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him." James 1:5 (WEB)
We cry out for God's divine protection over the innocent lives caught in the midst of this turmoil. We pray that He would be their fortress and their shield, hiding them in the shadow of His wings. "For you will not be afraid of the terror by night, nor of the arrow that flies by day; nor of the pestilence that walks in darkness, nor of the destruction that wastes at noonday. A thousand will fall at your side, and ten thousand at your right hand; but it will not come near you." Psalm 91:5-7 (WEB)
We fervently pray for true peace, a peace that only God can give. A peace that surpasses all understanding, guarding the hearts and minds of His people. "Finally, brothers, rejoice in the Lord. To write the same things to you, to me indeed is not tiresome, but for you it is safe. ... Be careful for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus." Philippians 3:1, 4:6-7 (WEB)
We acknowledge that true peace can only be found in Jesus Christ, for He Himself is our peace. "For he is our peace, who made both one, and broke down the wall of partition," Ephesians 2:14 (WEB) Therefore, we pray that many would come to know Him as their Lord and Savior, that they may experience His perfect peace even in the midst of this war.
We ask these things in accordance with God's perfect will and timing, knowing that He hears our prayers. We come before His throne of grace with confidence, not in our own righteousness, but in the righteousness of His Son, our Lord Jesus Christ. For it is in His name that we have access to the Father, and it is in His name that we are saved. "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!" Acts 4:12 (WEB)
Continue to seek the Lord fervently, trusting in His goodness and mercy. Let us not grow weary in supplication, but persist in prayer, knowing that our Lord is faithful to hear and answer our cries.
