Thank you so much.We hear your cry for help and stand with you in prayer, lifting this heavy burden to the Lord. First, we want to affirm that these thoughts are not from God, for He has clearly spoken in His Word about the sanctity of marriage and the beauty of His design. The Bible tells us in Genesis 2:24, "Therefore a man will leave his father and his mother, and will join with his wife, and they will be one flesh." This is the holy and sacred union God intended, between one man and one woman for life.
The enemy seeks to distort and pervert what God has called good, and these troubling thoughts may be an attack meant to bring confusion, fear, and shame. But we declare that you are not defined by these thoughts, nor are they a reflection of who you are in Christ. The Apostle Paul reminds us in 2 Corinthians 10:5, "We destroy arguments and every lofty opinion raised against the knowledge of God, and take every thought captive to obey Christ." You have the authority in Jesus’ name to reject these lies and take your thoughts captive.
We also want to gently remind you that fear does not come from God. 2 Timothy 1:7 tells us, "For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control." The anxiety you feel is real, but it is not from the Lord. Instead, He offers you His perfect peace, which surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). We encourage you to meditate on God’s truth, replacing these thoughts with Scripture. Psalm 119:105 says, "Your word is a lamp to my feet, and a light for my path." Let His Word guide you and bring clarity to your mind.
Let us pray for you now:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, the name above every name. We lift up our brother/sister who is struggling with these troubling thoughts and the fear that accompanies them. Lord, we ask that You would break the power of these lies and fill their mind with Your truth. Replace every anxious thought with Your peace, which guards their heart and mind in Christ Jesus. We declare that they are fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14) and that Your plans for them are for good, not for harm (Jeremiah 29:11).
Father, we rebuke the spirit of fear and confusion in Jesus’ name. We command it to leave and not return, for Your Word says, "Resist the devil, and he will flee from you" (James 4:7). Strengthen our brother/sister with Your power and remind them that they are more than conquerors through Christ who loves them (Romans 8:37). Surround them with godly counsel and fellowship, that they may be encouraged and built up in their faith.
Lord, we pray for healing in their mind and emotions. Bring clarity, peace, and a renewed sense of identity in You. Help them to fix their eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of their faith (Hebrews 12:2). May they walk in the freedom that Christ has purchased for them, knowing that "if the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed" (John 8:36). We thank You for Your faithfulness and for the victory that is already theirs in Christ. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to seek out a trusted pastor, biblical counselor, or mature Christian friend who can walk alongside you in this season. You do not have to carry this burden alone. God’s Word is clear, and His love for you is unwavering. Stand firm in the truth, and remember that "He who began a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ" (Philippians 1:6). You are deeply loved by the Father, and He has a purpose and plan for your life that is good and holy. Keep pressing into Him, and He will lead you into freedom.
I guess why it got bad cause arousal comes sometimes which causes panic for I don’t want them. Im a married man of 3 kids. Like an attack on me as a man and my identity.I know how to battle this I get intrusive thoughts all the time! The best thing to do is ignore them. If we don't ignore them they become worse and ignoring them stops them, also pray to god about them, intrusive thoughts aren't sins unless that stems from what we do in our daily life (not the thoughts but doing that earlier if you did any sins) also this medication called Kalms helped me. They can surely help you.
Is that actually you though? I know you get aroused but you truly don't want that do you? That's a sign that the holy spirit is working in you, pray to Jesus for courage not to look at men lustfully and he will answer you. Have a god blessed day, man.
