“But keep on the alert at all times, praying that you may have strength to escape all these things that are about to take place, and to stand before the Son of Man,” Lk 21:36, Abiding in Jesus Fruitfully, Jn 15:7-8, Prepared for Birth Pangs Mt 24:7-8 of New Creation Heb 12:2, See to It No One Deceives Us, Mt 24:4, “Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will not pass away. Luke 21:33. "For all these things (wars, probable and possible wars, famines, earthquakes in various places), are merely the beginning of birth pangs, Mt 24:8.

Matt 24:4-14, "And Jesus answered and said to them, 'See to it that no one misleads you. For many will come in My name, saying, "I am the Christ," and will mislead many. You will be hearing of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not frightened, for those things must take place, but that is not yet the end. For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom, and in various places there will be famines and earthquakes. But all these things are merely the beginning of birth pangs. Then they will deliver you to tribulation, and will kill you, and you will be hated by all nations because of My name. At that time many will fall away and will betray one another and hate one another. Many false prophets will arise and will mislead many. Because lawlessness is increased, most people’s love will grow cold. But the one who endures to the end, he will be saved. And this Gospel of The Kingdom shall be proclaimed throughout the whole world as a testimony to all the people groups, and then the end shall come," Mt 24:8-14.

Luke 21:34-36, “So be on guard, so that your hearts will not be weighted down with dissipation and drunkenness and the worries of life, and that day will not come on you suddenly like a trap; for it will come upon all those who dwell on the face of all the earth. But keep on the alert at all times, praying that you may have STRENGTH to escape all these things that are about to take place, and to stand before the Son of Man.”

Father, thank You for telling us these things through Your Son before they take place, so that while they are occurring, we may be believing, John 14:29. We see Russia, China and their allies allies preparing for war in an unprecedented scale not seen worldwide in 85+ years. We know that everything that can be shaken will be shaken -- heaven, earth, sea, dry land and all nations, Hag 4:6-7 -- so that the things which cannot be shaken will remain, Heb 12:27, Therefore, since we are receiving an unshakable kingdom, let us be filled with gratitude, and so worship God acceptably with reverence and awe, for You are a consuming fire, Heb 12:28. As things shift in our personal lives and on a global scale, we ask for daily bread, Matt 6:11, for connection to Jesus, John 15:1-5, our Beloved, who is like a bundle of myrrh through the night who warms our hearts, Song 1:13, and for strength to ensure not only these trials with joy, Matt 5:12, James 1:2-3, but persecutions, famines, perils, wars and rumors of wars, even earthquakes in various places, storms of life and real storms on earth, knowing that no created thing can keep us from the uncreated love of God in Christ Jesus Our Lord, Rom 8:35, for Jesus is risen and ascended and at Your Right Hand of Power, making intercession for us, Rom 8:34, praying our faith will not fail, that we stay connected to Him (and therefore to all the other branches that are connected to The Vine, John 15:1-5, and once we turn to You, not only is the veil is taken away, 2 Cor 3:16, so that with unveiled face we may be transformed from glory to glory, from the work of The Lord The Holy Spirit, 2 Cor 3:18, so that we may from that position of refreshing by abiding in Your presence, Acts 3:19, bear fruit, John 15:7-8, and strengthen others, Lk 22:32, introducing them to Christ's love through the ministry of reconciliation as Ambassadors of The New Creation, 2 Cor 5:14-21.

But in all these things we overwhelmingly conquer through Him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the (uncreated) love of God, which is being in Christ Jesus our Lord, Rom 8:27-29.

We ask these things in accordance Your will, Matt 12:50, which is Your Word, Luke 8:21, knowing that is what You hear, and when You hear, we have the requests we've asked, 1 Jn 5:14-15. With thanksgiving we make these requests known, Phil 4:6, thanking You in advance, Mk 11:24, with the promise that the peace of God which passes all comprehension will guard our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus, Phil 4:7. Thank You again in Jesus' Name, Jn 14:13-14, The Amen, The Faithful Witness and Originator of This New Creation, Rev 3:14, in whom all the promises of God are Yes and Amen, 2 Cor 1:20.

We join you in this urgent and timely prayer to be watchful, to abide faithfully in Christ, and to be found ready to stand before the Son of Man.

We hear your heart for those in the path of storms in Mexico and Hawaii, for the Atlantic to remain calm, for those facing the cyclone in India, and for all peoples threatened by other storms, earthquakes, and wars and rumors of wars. We agree that these shakings are real and that we are to watch and pray with wisdom, both for eternity and for daily provision and protection when needed.

The Word reminds us, Therefore be watchful all the time, praying that you may be counted worthy to escape all these things that will happen, and to stand before the Son of Man, Luke 21:36. Jesus also said, See that no one leads you astray, Matthew 24:4, and But all these things are the beginning of birth pains, Matthew 24:8. We are told not to be frightened, for those things must take place, but that is not yet the end, Matthew 24:6, and that Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will by no means pass away, Luke 21:33. We take comfort that this present shaking has purpose, for This phrase, Yet once more, signifies the removing of those things that are shaken, as of things that have been made, that those things which are not shaken may remain, Hebrews 12:27, and Therefore, receiving a Kingdom that cannot be shaken, let us have grace, through which we serve God acceptably, with reverence and awe, Hebrews 12:28.

We also cling to the promise of abiding, If you remain in me, and my words remain in you, you will ask whatever you desire, and it will be done for you, John 15:7, and In this my Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit and so you will be my disciples, John 15:8. To remain in Him is our strength, our peace, and our fruitfulness, especially as birth pangs increase. We are thankful you lifted up the only way to be prepared for eternity, which is through faith in Jesus and repentance from sin, for Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me, John 14:6, and There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved, Acts 4:12. It is only through His name that we have access to God and can pray with confidence.

So we pray together now. Father, we thank You for telling us these things beforehand through Your Son so that when they come to pass we may believe and not be shaken, and for giving us Your Word which will never pass away. We ask for Your mercy over Mexico, Hawaii, the Atlantic basin, India, and every place facing storms, earthquakes, and the threat of war. Calm the winds and seas as only You can, for even the winds and the sea obey You, and spare lives and homes according to Your mercy. We pray for those in authority and for all nations, that You would restrain evil, frustrate the plans that would lead to wider war, and grant peace where it is possible. For all these shakings in our personal lives and on a global scale, we ask for daily bread, Matthew 6:11, for grace to remain in Christ the true Vine, John 15:1, and for strength to endure with joy and to not let our hearts be weighed down with dissipation, drunkenness, and the worries of life, Luke 21:34.

We ask that You draw many to repentance and faith in Jesus Christ while there is time, that with unveiled faces they may turn to You and be transformed, 2 Corinthians 3:16, 2 Corinthians 3:18, and become ambassadors of reconciliation, 2 Corinthians 5:20. Give Your people wisdom to prepare both spiritually and practically, to bear fruit, to strengthen one another, Luke 22:32, and to share the Gospel of the Kingdom throughout the whole world as a testimony, Matthew 24:14. Guard us from deception and from lawlessness that makes love grow cold, and help us endure to the end, Matthew 24:12-13. We thank You that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord, Romans 8:38-39. We make these requests in accordance with Your will and Your Word, with thanksgiving, Philippians 4:6, trusting that when we ask according to Your will You hear us, 1 John 5:14, and that Your peace which surpasses all understanding will guard our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus, Philippians 4:7. We ask all these things in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, the Amen, the Faithful Witness, in whom all the promises of God are Yes and Amen, 2 Corinthians 1:20.

We hear the burden in your prayer, and we are grateful for how you are carrying so many places and people before the Lord, Mexico, Hawaii, the Atlantic, India, and all those living under the threat of storms, earthquakes, and wars. It is a lot to hold at once, and it makes sense that your heart would be watching and asking for strength to stand and abide faithfully while the world feels so shaken.

What encourages us in what you wrote is that your concern is not only for safety in the moment, but for people to be ready for eternity through faith in Jesus, and also to have wisdom for the practical needs in front of them. That is a steady, loving way to pray, for both the soul and the daily bread.

When the news is heavy it can help to keep our focus narrowed to what God has put right in front of us today. We continue to bring those wider needs to Him, and we also stay rooted in abiding with Christ in ordinary ways, staying in His Word, in prayer, in fellowship, and taking simple, wise steps to be prepared ourselves and to help a neighbor if a need arises, without trying to carry the weight of every global crisis alone.

Father, we thank You for Your care and for hearing us when we pray in Jesus' name. We ask for Your mercy over those in the path of storms and in places of war and shaking, for protection and provision where You will, and for comfort for those who are afraid. Give us strength to abide in Christ day by day, wisdom to be prepared and to help others wisely, and open doors to share the hope of repentance and life in Jesus with those around us. Keep us trusting You as You establish Your unshakable kingdom. In Jesus' name, amen.

Your prayer has been brought before the Lord with thanksgiving, and we join our hearts with yours in seeking grace for these perilous times.

There is a holy wisdom in pleading the very words of our Lord, that we may be kept watchful at all times, praying that we may have strength to escape all these things that are about to take place, and to stand before the Son of Man. This is not a prayer for mere curiosity about the signs, but for abiding in Him, that as branches in the Vine we may bear fruit, and be found ready when the shakings come.

We have taken your burden concerning the storms over Mexico and Hawaii, the calm sought for the Atlantic, the cyclone in India, and all other tempests, earthquakes, wars and rumors of wars, to the throne of grace. We ask the Lord in His mercy to restrain the winds and the waves according to His sovereign will, to spare life, and to grant wisdom to those in danger to prepare with prudence for survival when such preparation is needful. Yet above all we pray that men and women may be prepared for eternity through faith in Jesus Christ and repentance from sin, for what shall it profit if a house is secured against the storm and the soul is left without shelter.

You have rightly remembered that these things are but the beginning of birth pangs, and that everything that can be shaken will be shaken, so that the things which cannot be shaken may remain. Our comfort is that we are receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved. Therefore we may worship with reverence and awe, and with gratitude, knowing our God is a consuming fire and also our refuge.

In such an hour we are driven to Christ Himself, for He understood the disease of our fallen nature, He is no empiric who guesses at the cure, but He has studied the whole case through. In Him we find pardon in His blood, justification in His righteousness, wisdom in His teaching, and sanctification in His Spirit. He was made a perfect Saviour through sufferings, not made more perfect in character, for He was ever perfect, but made officially perfect as the Captain of our salvation, having waded through tribulation to His throne that He might succor those who are tried.

He is our peace. Wars come not from His word but from the lusts of the flesh, yet between God and those who are in Christ Jesus there is now no division, no strife, no war, for we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. Your soul's fountain of crystal comfort must be Christ and Christ alone. Not our doing for Christ, but Christ Himself is our peace. His perfect righteousness is our covering, His blood whispers peace within. When the mind is stayed upon Him, He will keep us in perfect peace, peace upon peace, because we trust in Him. To know the will of Jesus and to do it is to abide in the peace of God.

This peace in believing is a well founded peace, a sea that has no bottom nor shore, a peace of intense restfulness. It rests not upon our feelings or our service, but upon Him who died, yea rather, who is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us, praying that our faith fail not. Because He lives, we live also. Our life is not dependent upon ourselves, but is safe in our Lord, for Christ lives in us, and the life we now live we live by faith in the Son of God who loved us and gave Himself for us.

So we pray with you that you and many others may be found abiding in Him, with the Word remaining in you, bearing much fruit, strengthened to endure with joy, to stand before Him without fear, and to strengthen others as ambassadors of the new creation, ministers of reconciliation. May the Lord grant daily bread, nearness to Jesus through the night and through the day, refreshing in His presence, and transformation from glory to glory by the Holy Spirit, that with unveiled face we may reflect His likeness.

We ask the Father to have mercy upon the nations now arming and threatening war, to restrain the wrath of man, to bring many to see their need of Christ while the day of salvation still lingers, and to keep His people from being misled by false hopes or false prophets. Let us not bind the hands of Christ by neglecting His Word or seeking comfort in sin, but let us open the Book, hear His voice, and go in peace, for He has dismissed us from the court of justice, there being now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus.

May the peace of God which passes all understanding guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus, and may you be kept faithful to the end, for he who endures to the end shall be saved. We commit you and all for whom you intercede to Him who is able to keep you from falling and to present you faultless before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy.
