“But keep on the alert at all times, praying that you may have strength to escape all these things that are about to take place, and to stand before the Son of Man,” Lk 21:36, Abiding in Jesus Fruitfully, Jn 15:7-8, Prepared for Birth Pangs Mt 24:7-8 of New Creation Heb 12:2, See to It No One Deceives Us, Mt 24:4, “Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will not pass away. Luke 21:33. "For all these things (wars, probable and possible wars, famines, earthquakes in various places), are merely the beginning of birth pangs, Mt 24:8.

Matt 24:4-14, "And Jesus answered and said to them, 'See to it that no one misleads you. For many will come in My name, saying, "I am the Christ," and will mislead many. You will be hearing of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not frightened, for those things must take place, but that is not yet the end. For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom, and in various places there will be famines and earthquakes. But all these things are merely the beginning of birth pangs. Then they will deliver you to tribulation, and will kill you, and you will be hated by all nations because of My name. At that time many will fall away and will betray one another and hate one another. Many false prophets will arise and will mislead many. Because lawlessness is increased, most people’s love will grow cold. But the one who endures to the end, he will be saved. And this Gospel of The Kingdom shall be proclaimed throughout the whole world as a testimony to all the people groups, and then the end shall come," Mt 24:8-14.

Luke 21:34-36, “So be on guard, so that your hearts will not be weighted down with dissipation and drunkenness and the worries of life, and that day will not come on you suddenly like a trap; for it will come upon all those who dwell on the face of all the earth. But keep on the alert at all times, praying that you may have STRENGTH to escape all these things that are about to take place, and to stand before the Son of Man.”

Father, thank You for telling us these things through Your Son before they take place, so that while they are occurring, we may be believing, John 14:29. We see Russia, China and their allies allies preparing for war in an unprecedented scale not seen worldwide in 85+ years. We know that everything that can be shaken will be shaken -- heaven, earth, sea, dry land and all nations, Hag 4:6-7 -- so that the things which cannot be shaken will remain, Heb 12:27, Therefore, since we are receiving an unshakable kingdom, let us be filled with gratitude, and so worship God acceptably with reverence and awe, for You are a consuming fire, Heb 12:28. As things shift in our personal lives and on a global scale, we ask for daily bread, Matt 6:11, for connection to Jesus, John 15:1-5, our Beloved, who is like a bundle of myrrh through the night who warms our hearts, Song 1:13, and for strength to ensure not only these trials with joy, Matt 5:12, James 1:2-3, but persecutions, famines, perils, wars and rumors of wars, even earthquakes in various places, storms of life and real storms on earth, knowing that no created thing can keep us from the uncreated love of God in Christ Jesus Our Lord, Rom 8:35, for Jesus is risen and ascended and at Your Right Hand of Power, making intercession for us, Rom 8:34, praying our faith will not fail, that we stay connected to Him (and therefore to all the other branches that are connected to The Vine, John 15:1-5, and once we turn to You, not only is the veil is taken away, 2 Cor 3:16, so that with unveiled face we may be transformed from glory to glory, from the work of The Lord The Holy Spirit, 2 Cor 3:18, so that we may from that position of refreshing by abiding in Your presence, Acts 3:19, bear fruit, John 15:7-8, and strengthen others, Lk 22:32, introducing them to Christ's love through the ministry of reconciliation as Ambassadors of The New Creation, 2 Cor 5:14-21.

But in all these things we overwhelmingly conquer through Him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the (uncreated) love of God, which is being in Christ Jesus our Lord, Rom 8:27-29.

We ask these things in accordance Your will, Matt 12:50, which is Your Word, Luke 8:21, knowing that is what You hear, and when You hear, we have the requests we've asked, 1 Jn 5:14-15. With thanksgiving we make these requests known, Phil 4:6, thanking You in advance, Mk 11:24, with the promise that the peace of God which passes all comprehension will guard our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus, Phil 4:7. Thank You again in Jesus' Name, Jn 14:13-14, The Amen, The Faithful Witness and Originator of This New Creation, Rev 3:14, in whom all the promises of God are Yes and Amen, 2 Cor 1:20.

We join you in this prayer to escape the shakings and to stand before the Son of Man, and we thank you for sharing this burden for watchfulness and abiding in Christ.

We agree that the Lord has graciously told us these things beforehand so that when they come to pass we may believe, as it is written in John 14:29, and that Heaven and earth will pass away, but His words will not pass away, Luke 21:33. We hear our Lord's warning in Matthew 24:4, See to it that no one misleads you, and we take seriously His call to keep on the alert at all times, praying that we may have strength to escape all these things that are about to take place, and to stand before the Son of Man, Luke 21:36.

We are living in days when nation rises against nation and kingdom against kingdom, with wars and rumors of wars, famines and earthquakes in various places, yet all these things are merely the beginning of birth pangs, Matthew 24:8. We are reminded that everything that can be shaken will be shaken, so that the things which cannot be shaken will remain, Hebrews 12:27. Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, let us have grace, through which we serve God acceptably with reverence and awe, for our God is a consuming fire, Hebrews 12:28.

We also cling to the promise of abiding, If you remain in me, and my words remain in you, you will ask whatever you desire, and it will be done for you, In this my Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit, and so you will be my disciples, John 15:7-8. Apart from Him we can do nothing, John 15:5, but as we remain in Him we are transformed with unveiled face from glory to glory, 2 Corinthians 3:18, and we bear fruit that remains.

We pray together in the name of Jesus Christ, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and it is in His name that our prayers are heard, as Jesus said, Whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son, John 14:13, and there is salvation in no other name, Acts 4:12.

Father, we thank You for Your Word which is Your will, Luke 8:21, and for telling us what must take place so we will not be frightened, Matthew 24:6, nor weighted down with dissipation and drunkenness and the worries of life, Luke 21:34. We ask for daily bread, Matthew 6:11, and for grace to abide in Jesus our Vine, to remain connected to Him and to one another as branches of the same Vine. Keep our hearts burning with love for Him who is our Beloved, and grant us strength not only to endure these trials with joy, James 1:2, Matthew 5:12, but to stand firm through persecutions, perils, famines, wars and earthquakes, knowing that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord, Romans 8:38-39. We thank You that Jesus is risen and at Your right hand making intercession for us, Romans 8:34, praying that our faith will not fail, Luke 22:32, so that when we turn to You the veil is taken away, 2 Corinthians 3:16, and we may be refreshed by Your presence, Acts 3:19.

We ask that You keep us from deception in these days when many false prophets will arise and mislead many and lawlessness is increased, Matthew 24:11-12, and that we would endure to the end, for it is written, But he who endures to the end, the same will be saved, Matthew 24:13. Make us faithful ambassadors of the new creation through the ministry of reconciliation, 2 Corinthians 5:20, bearing much fruit so that Your name is glorified, and looking unto Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith, Hebrews 12:2, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross.

We make these requests with thanksgiving, Philippians 4:6, knowing that this is the boldness which we have toward Him, that, if we ask anything according to His will, He listens to us, 1 John 5:14, and we trust that the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard our hearts and our thoughts in Christ Jesus, Philippians 4:7. We ask all these things in the mighty and saving name of Jesus Christ our Lord, the Amen, the Faithful and True Witness, Revelation 3:14, in whom all the promises of God are Yes and Amen, 2 Corinthians 1:20.

We appreciate you sharing this prayer so openly. We hear the burden you carry not only for your own walk but for all of us to remain steady and faithful while so much around the world feels shaken by wars and rumors of wars, earthquakes and uncertainty.

It makes sense that this would weigh on your heart. Wanting to stay alert can quickly turn into feeling you must stay tense all the time. What has helped us is remembering that abiding is less about trying harder in a moment and more like training over time, small faithful choices that slowly shape us. God is patient as we learn to stay connected to Christ day by day.

One simple step that might help this week is to give your alertness a healthy rhythm. Perhaps choose set times to pray and to be in the Word, and outside those times gently step away from the constant news cycle and take a walk, share a meal, or talk with a trusted friend in your church. Staying rooted in ordinary fellowship often keeps us steadier than staying tuned to every headline.

Father, we thank You for Your nearness and for Your unshakable kingdom. Give us daily bread, quiet our anxious thoughts, and keep us close to Jesus today. Help us bear fruit where You have placed us and strengthen others along the way. We rest in Your love and ask this in Jesus name, amen.

Your earnest prayer has been heard and it is good that you turn to the Word which tells us these things beforehand, that when they come to pass we may believe. Our Lord has not left us without warning, for He said, Heaven and earth shall pass away, but My words shall not pass away, and again, See that ye be not troubled, for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.

You have well remembered that everything that can be shaken will be shaken, that those things which cannot be shaken may remain. We are receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, and therefore we may worship God acceptably with reverence and godly fear. The wars and rumours of wars, the famines and earthquakes in divers places, these are but the beginning of birth pangs, and they must not shake the soul that is built upon the Rock. Blessed is that man who is strong in the Lord and in the power of His might, for to him the joy of the Lord is his strength.

You pray for strength to escape all these things and to stand before the Son of Man, according to Luke 21:36, and this is a wise prayer. Human strength in any form will spend itself in due time, and though a man had the strength of a lion he would one day fail. They that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength. It needs the eyes of faith to see God in the dark and to rest in His promise when it tarries long. That little word, wait, is for those who have learned to get away from themselves into God, and to place all confidence in Christ the Son of God and not in their own strength. Oh you who are weak in spirit, come and feed upon Christ, for they that wait upon the Lord in that way, by feeding upon His body and blood, shall find Him to be meat indeed and drink indeed, and so shall renew their strength. Your life is not dependent upon yourself but is safe in your Lord, for Christ is your life, and He works in you mightily by His Holy Spirit who dwelleth in you evermore.

This is to abide in Him as the branch abides in the Vine. Christ in you is the hope of glory. Whatever Christ is, His people are in Him, chosen in Him before the foundation of the world, crucified in Him, risen in Him, and perfect in Christ Jesus. There is nothing like it for the health and strength of the soul to rejoice in Christ and nothing else but Christ. Get Christ in you curing your sin, Christ in you filling your soul with love to holiness, bathing your heart in comfort, for it is Christ possessed, Christ believed in, Christ experienced, that becomes the hope of glory. Gold is valuable, but men think more of a pound in their pockets than of huge ingots in the bank vault, and so Christ in your heart is better to you than all else.

Therefore keep on the alert at all times, praying, and be on guard that your hearts be not weighed down with dissipation and the worries of life. See to it that no one misleads you, for many false prophets shall arise. The faith in the Lord Jesus Christ which saves the soul shows itself in obedience to the precepts which He lays down and in forsaking the habits which He condemns, and the very essence of faith is the consciousness of being lost in ourselves and found in Christ, leaving our souls in Jesus hands to drop safely into the arms that were outstretched for us. He is the surety for His people, under bonds and pledges to bring His redeemed safely home, and as surely as you have eternal life by faith in Christ Jesus now, so surely shall you reach its fullness when Christ who is your life shall appear.

May the Lord grant you daily bread, and that refreshing which comes from abiding in His presence, that with unveiled face you may be transformed from glory to glory by the Lord the Spirit, and bear much fruit to the glory of the Father. May He keep you from falling away when lawlessness increases and the love of many grows cold, and cause you to endure to the end. And may the peace of God which passeth all understanding guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus, till you stand before the Son of Man not in your own righteousness but perfect in Christ, overwhelmingly conquering through Him who loved you, from whom neither death nor life nor any other created thing shall be able to separate you.

Your prayer is heard with thanksgiving and we join with you in it. You have asked according to the Word that was spoken beforehand so that when these things come to pass we may believe and not be shaken.

We pray with you as the Lord taught us to pray, that you may be kept alert at all times and have strength to escape all these things that are about to take place and to stand before the Son of Man. This is not a strength of our own. We have a High Priest who is not unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but one who endured all things first and then ascended, so that He might truly feel with us in our infirmities and give us grace in time of need.

You rightly see these wars and rumors of wars, famines and earthquakes in various places as the beginning of birth pangs. The Lord told us not to be frightened when we hear of them, for they must take place, but the end is not yet. They are pangs that precede a new birth. As with a birth, there is pain and shaking, yet God is bringing forth His unshakable kingdom. Everything that can be shaken will be shaken, so that what cannot be shaken may remain. Therefore we pray that you will receive that kingdom with gratitude and worship God with reverence and awe.

In these pangs we are not left without purpose. Tribulation works patience, and patience proves character, and character gives hope. We do not glory in tribulation because we love suffering, but because God uses it to anoint us for patient endurance. In this world we will have tribulation, and the narrow way is indeed strait, but Christ has overcome the world and His grace is sufficient for us, for His power is made perfect in weakness.

So we pray that you will not be weighted down with dissipation or drunkenness or the worries of life, and that the day will not come upon you like a trap. Keep abiding in Him as a branch in the Vine. Apart from Him we can do nothing, but if we remain in Him and His words remain in us, we will bear fruit and be strengthened to strengthen others. This abiding is the new birth of water and the Spirit, a new creation that God forms in us. Having been cleansed and made new, we are called to remain pure and faithful, to watch and to endure by His Spirit, being transformed from glory to glory with unveiled face.

We also pray that you will not be misled. Many will come and many voices will deceive, and lawlessness will increase and the love of many will grow cold. But the one who endures to the end will be saved. May the Lord keep your heart from deception, keep you rooted in His words which will not pass away though heaven and earth pass away, and keep you in His uncreated love from which no created thing can separate us, neither death nor life, nor things present nor things to come.

Father, we thank You for telling us these things beforehand through Your Son. Give our brother and sister daily bread, keep them connected to Jesus the true Vine, guard their hearts and minds with Your peace which passes all understanding, and grant them strength to endure trials with joy, to stand before the Son of Man with confidence, and to bear fruit that remains until the Gospel of the Kingdom is proclaimed to all peoples.
