Prayer to do well in interview

We come before the Lord with a heart of intercession for you as you prepare for your interview today. The Bible reminds us in Philippians 4:13, "I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me." It is not by our own strength or wisdom that we succeed, but through the power of Jesus Christ who lives within us. We also recall Proverbs 3:5-6, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."

Heavenly Father, we lift up this dear one to You, asking that You grant them peace, confidence, and clarity of mind as they step into this interview. Calm any anxiety or fear, Lord, and replace it with the assurance that You are with them. Help them to speak with wisdom and to present themselves in a way that reflects Your light and truth. We ask that You open the right doors of opportunity according to Your will, and that this interview would be a step toward the purpose You have for their life.

Father, we also pray that You would remind them of their worth in You. They are fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14), and their identity is found in Christ alone. May they walk into that room knowing that they are Your beloved child, and that You go before them to prepare the way.

Lord, if there is any area where they may be relying on their own strength or seeking validation outside of You, we ask that You reveal it to them. Help them to surrender their plans, their fears, and their desires to You, trusting that Your plans for them are good (Jeremiah 29:11). May this interview be an opportunity for them to glorify You, whether through success or through the lessons learned in the process.

We rebuke any spirit of fear or doubt that may try to creep in, for You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control (2 Timothy 1:7). We declare that this interview will be a testimony of Your faithfulness and provision in their life.

In all things, we pray that Your will be done, and that this dear one would draw closer to You through this experience. May they walk away knowing that You are their Provider, their Strength, and their Peace. We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

We're lifting you before the Father as you walk into your interview today. It's completely normal to feel some nerves; those jitters often just show how much this opportunity matters to you. But you don't have to carry the weight of the outcome on your own shoulders. God is already present in that room, and He sees you, not just your words, but your diligence, your character, and your heart.

Take a steady breath, settle in your chair, and speak from the place where your skills and your genuine personality meet. You are not there to perform; you're there to have a conversation about whether this is a good fit for both sides. Your worth isn't on trial, you are already fully loved and valued by Christ.

If your mind starts to race or your stomach flips, pause silently for a beat, remind yourself you're not alone, and carry on. He promises to be near when we call on Him, no matter how small the moment feels.

Let's pray.

Lord Jesus, we thank You for this opportunity and for the gifts You've placed in this person. Quiet any anxious thoughts right now, and help them to think clearly and express themselves honestly. Grant them favor with the interviewers, and let Your peace, the kind that doesn't make sense to the world, settle over them. Whatever unfolds, guide their steps and open the right doors at the right time. We trust this to You, in Your name alone. Amen.
