We hear the deep cry of your heart, and we stand with you in this moment of spiritual struggle. The weariness you feel is not unfamiliar to many who have walked the path of faith, and we want you to know that your honesty before God is itself an act of worship. The fact that you long to return to Him, even when strength feels absent, is evidence of His Spirit still at work within you. Let us turn to Scripture together, for it is in God’s Word that we find the truth that revives weary souls.

The apostle Paul wrote in Romans 7:18-19, *"For I know that in me, that is, in my flesh, dwells no good thing. For desire is present with me, but I don’t find it doing that which is good. For the good which I desire, I don’t do; but the evil which I don’t desire, that I practice."* Even the great apostle experienced the tension between the spirit and the flesh, and his words remind us that this struggle is not unique to you. Yet, he also declared in Philippians 1:6, *"Being confident of this very thing, that he who began a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ."* God is not finished with you, dear one. Your desire to return to Him is proof that He is still drawing you near.

We must also address the reality of sin in your life, for it is often the weight of unconfessed sin that dulls our spiritual senses and makes us feel distant from God. The writer of Hebrews warns us, *"Let us draw near with a true heart in fullness of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and having our body washed with pure water"* (Hebrews 10:22). If there is sin—whether it be in thought, word, or deed—that you have not surrendered to God, it will hinder your fellowship with Him. We urge you to examine your heart before the Lord, confess any sin, and receive His forgiveness. As 1 John 1:9 assures us, *"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."*

You mentioned that you no longer hear the Holy Spirit. Let us remind you that the Spirit of God does not abandon His children, even when we feel distant. Jesus promised, *"I will pray to the Father, and he will give you another Counselor, that he may be with you forever—the Spirit of truth, whom the world can’t receive; for it doesn’t see him, neither knows him. You know him, for he lives with you, and will be in you"* (John 14:16-17). The Spirit is still with you, even if His voice feels quiet. It may be that the noise of the world, the busyness of life, or the weight of sin has drowned out His gentle whisper. We encourage you to carve out time in silence before God, to read His Word, and to listen for His voice. The psalmist wrote, *"Be still, and know that I am God"* (Psalm 46:10). In the stillness, He will meet you.

We also want to gently challenge you on the phrase "my relationship with Him." While it is true that we have a personal relationship with God, it is essential to remember that this relationship is made possible only through the name of Jesus Christ. There is no access to the Father except through the Son. Jesus declared, *"I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me"* (John 14:6). If you have never placed your faith in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, or if you have wandered from that foundation, we urge you to return to Him. Salvation is not found in a feeling or a religious routine but in the finished work of Christ on the cross. Romans 10:9 tells us, *"If you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved."*

Now, let us come before the throne of grace together in prayer:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up our brother who is struggling to find his way back to You. Lord, we know that You are the Good Shepherd who leaves the ninety-nine to seek the one who is lost. We ask that You would draw near to him in this moment, that he would feel the warmth of Your presence and the power of Your love. Father, we confess that we are weak, but You are strong. We ask that You would renew his strength, that he would mount up with wings like eagles, run and not be weary, walk and not faint (Isaiah 40:31).

Lord, we pray that You would break the chains of sin that have entangled him. Give him the courage to confess his sins before You, knowing that You are faithful and just to forgive and cleanse him from all unrighteousness. Restore the joy of his salvation, and renew a right spirit within him (Psalm 51:10-12). Father, we ask that You would quiet the noise of the world and help him to hear Your voice once again. Speak to him through Your Word, through the stillness, and through the counsel of godly believers.

We pray that You would remind him of the hope that is found in Christ alone. Help him to fix his eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of his faith (Hebrews 12:2). Lord, we ask that You would reignite the fire of his first love for You. May he remember the joy of his salvation, the peace that surpasses all understanding, and the purpose that You have called him to. Father, we pray that You would surround him with believers who will encourage him, pray for him, and walk alongside him in this journey.

We rebuke the lies of the enemy that seek to convince him that he is too far gone, that You have abandoned him, or that he is beyond Your reach. We declare that no one can snatch him out of Your hand (John 10:28). We pray that You would fill him with Your Holy Spirit, that he would be empowered to walk in righteousness and to resist the temptations of the enemy.

Lord, we ask that You would give him a hunger and thirst for Your Word. May he meditate on it day and night, and may it be a lamp to his feet and a light to his path (Psalm 119:105). Father, we pray that You would restore his soul and lead him in paths of righteousness for Your name’s sake (Psalm 23:3).

We thank You, Lord, that You are a God who restores, redeems, and renews. We trust that You are at work in his life, even when he cannot see it. May he find his strength in You, and may he experience the fullness of Your love and grace. We pray all of this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

Dear brother, we want to leave you with this encouragement from the book of Lamentations: *"It is because of Yahweh’s loving kindnesses that we are not consumed, because his compassion doesn’t fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness"* (Lamentations 3:22-23). God’s mercies are new every morning, and His faithfulness is not dependent on your feelings or your strength. He is faithful even when we are faithless (2 Timothy 2:13).

We urge you to take practical steps to draw near to God. Set aside time each day to read His Word, even if it is just a few verses. Begin with the Psalms or the Gospel of John, and ask God to speak to you through His Word. Find a local church where you can worship with other believers, hear the preaching of the Word, and build relationships with godly men who can encourage you in your faith. If you do not have a church home, we strongly encourage you to seek one out. The body of Christ is designed to build up and support one another (1 Corinthians 12:27).

Lastly, we want to remind you that you are not alone in this struggle. Many believers have walked this path before you, and many are walking it alongside you even now. You are part of a great cloud of witnesses (Hebrews 12:1), and we are praying for you. Do not give up. Do not lose heart. God is at work, and He will complete the good work that He has begun in you. Keep pressing forward, one step at a time, trusting in His grace and His power to sustain you.

Dear friend, we're here with you, feeling your struggle and echoing your cry. We've all been there, feeling distant from God, our first love. It's like we're in a spiritual fog, unable to see or hear Him clearly. But remember, even in the thickest fog, the sun is still shining. It's just hidden from our view.

We want to encourage you with a verse from Isaiah 40:31, "But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint." God is not finished with you yet. He's still working in you, giving you the strength to keep going, one step at a time.

We also want to remind you of Jesus' promise in Matthew 11:28-29, "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls." Jesus is inviting you, right now, to come to Him. He's not pushing you away, but drawing you near.

Let's keep praying together, okay? We're in this together, you and me, and we're not giving up. We're going to keep trusting in God's grace and power to sustain us. And remember, even when we can't see it or feel it, God is always at work, always moving, always loving us.

Keep fighting the good fight, dear friend. We're cheering you on, every step of the way.
