Prayer to be Salt of the earth

Dear Family Of God, Today I'd like to pray that I may be salt of the earth. I pray for favor favor favor. I pray for miracles miracles miracles in pray for blessings blessings blessings. I'd like to pray against principalities and powers of darkness in high places. I pray for extreme, unmatched, unstoppable, unspeakable, abundantly, abounding glory all over the world. Please stand with me in faith and prayer over this. All these things I humbly ask in Jesus Christ name with thanksgiving. Thank you.

We rejoice with you in your desire to be salt of the earth and to walk in a way that preserves truth and brings the flavor of Christ to a world in need. This is the very calling Jesus gave to His followers when He said, You are the salt of the earth, but if the salt has lost its flavor, with what will it be salted? It is then good for nothing, but to be cast out and trodden under the feet of men. Matthew 5:13. To be salt is to live a holy, distinct life that points others to Him, to speak truth with love, and to do good works so that others may see and glorify our Father in heaven. Matthew 5:16.

We also hear your heart for favor, miracles, and blessings, and for victory over spiritual darkness and for the glory of God to fill the earth. We stand together with you in faith for these things according to God's will. Scripture reminds us, For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world's rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. Ephesians 6:12. Therefore we put on the whole armor of God that we may stand firm, knowing that greater is He who is in us than he who is in the world. We also remember the promise, For you will bless the righteous. Yahweh, you will surround him with favor as with a shield. Psalm 5:12, and that God is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us. Ephesians 3:20. Our prayer is not for favor or miracles for our own glory, but that through them the name of Jesus would be lifted up and His glory would cover the earth as the waters cover the sea. Habakkuk 2:14.

We encourage you to continue to cultivate saltiness by abiding in Christ, keeping His word, and letting your speech always be with grace, seasoned with salt, that you may know how you ought to answer each one. Colossians 4:6. Have salt in yourselves, and be at peace with one another. Mark 9:50. As we are transformed from glory to glory by the Spirit of the Lord, 2 Corinthians 3:18, our lives naturally preserve what is good and bring thirst for the living water to those around us.

Father in heaven, we thank You for this hungry heart that desires to be salt of the earth for Your glory. We thank You that we can come boldly before Your throne only through the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We ask that You make this dear one effective salt in their home, workplace, and community, preserving righteousness, bringing the flavor of Your grace, and creating a thirst for You in others. Keep their life pure and distinct from compromise so that the salt does not lose its savor. Grant favor that opens doors for the gospel, miracles that testify to Your power and mercy, and blessings that overflow to bless others. We come against every principality and power of darkness in high places and we declare that no weapon formed against Your child shall prosper, and we ask You to clothe them in Your armor to stand strong in faith. Let Your abounding and unstoppable glory be revealed in and through them and let it spread abundantly all over the world. We ask all these things with thanksgiving, trusting in Your perfect will, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

We were grateful to read your prayer and to hear the hunger in it to be useful to God where He has placed you. Wanting to be salt in a world that needs preserving and flavor is a beautiful desire, and we are glad to stand with you in it.

We also hear your heart for favor and for God to move in power around the world, and your awareness that there is real opposition to His purposes. We do believe that struggle is real, and that our safety is in staying close to Jesus rather than trying to fight in our own strength. Salt does its work quietly and steadily, by being present and distinct, often in small, faithful ways that only God sees fully.

One simple next step that may help is to ask the Lord to show you one ordinary place this week where He wants that saltiness through you, a neighbor, a coworker, a family member, and to pray for that person or situation by name each day, looking for one small way to show Christ's love there.

Father, we thank You for this brother or sister who wants to live for You. Draw them close to Jesus, keep them in Your peace, and make their life a faithful witness where You have planted them. Lead them by Your Spirit, guard them from the enemy's schemes, and let whatever favor and fruit You give bring glory to You alone. In Jesus' name we pray, amen.

Your prayer to be made salt of the earth is a right and holy desire, for it is the Lord Jesus Himself who has said that His people are the salt of the earth, and it is a good thing to ask that this word may be true in your own life.

You have asked for favor and blessing and for power against the principalities and powers of darkness, and for the glory of God to be seen abroad in the world. These are great petitions, and we do stand with you in prayer for them, yet I would have you consider what this salt is, that you may not seek a mere name without the reality.

The Scripture says, Every oblation of thy meat offering shalt thou season with salt, neither shalt thou suffer the salt of the covenant of thy God to be lacking from thy meat offering, with all thine offerings thou shalt offer salt. In this we are taught that salt is first the symbol of the covenant. It speaks of that everlasting covenant ordered in all things and sure, which God has made with His people in Christ Jesus. To be salt is to be a covenant man or woman, bound to the Lord by His own faithful promise, and kept by His grace.

It is also the token of communion. In the East when a man has eaten another man's salt he is at peace with him. So to be salt is to live in fellowship with God, sincere before the heart searching God. Pile on the salt, let it season the whole of your sacrifice through and through. The Lord would have reality and truth in the inward parts, not mere words repeated many times, but a heart true to Him.

And further, salt is the type of purifying power. The salt eats into the meat and preserves it from corruption. We must bring with all our oblations that salt in ourselves which shall purify our hearts from inward corruption and which shall have a power about it to purify others. Know you not that the saints are the salt of the earth. Not by loud profession alone, but by holiness of character, by growing conformity to Christ's image, by a life that witnesses to the sufferings of Christ and partakes of His grace, do we season the world around us and keep it from going wholly to decay.

Therefore my prayer for you is not only that you may have favor in the eyes of men, but that you may know the favor of God which is in Christ Jesus, for he that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in himself. Believe first on the Son of God, rest wholly out of self and entirely upon the sacrifice offered upon the Cross, and then you shall have that inner witness and that preserving savor which God can use.

So let us pray together. O Lord our God, who hast made a covenant of salt with Thy people, make this Thy servant to be indeed salt in this unsavory world. Season his whole offering with sincerity and truth. Purify his heart and make his life to be a witness to Jesus Christ, the faithful and true Witness, the Prince of the kings of the earth. Keep him from corruption, make him useful to preserve and to season others, give him strength to stand against the powers of darkness, and let the victory of Christ be seen in him. Let Thy glory be known not only in words but in changed lives, till new heavens and a new earth wherein dwelleth righteousness shall come, and Christ shall divide the spoil with the strong. Hear this prayer for Jesus Christ's sake, in whose name alone we come, with thanksgiving. Amen.

Bless me to know You, the way You want me to know You. So that I will trust You with my life and anyway that You move in my life. Bless me to trust You with all my heart, lean not to my own understanding, acknowledge You in all my ways, and allow You to direct my footsteps and actions. Bless me with knowledge, wisdom, and understanding in all You have called me to do.

God heal me in every area of my life. Deliver and cleanse me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. Bless me to have and operate with a God-conscious-solution-focused-heart-mind-spirit-and-attitude. Bless me to have a God Kingdom Culture Mentality. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. God, all that I have asked of You, in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of the prayer, all those who love and care about me, and all those I love and care about.
