Prayer to be prayerful alone with God

We hear your cry for deeper intimacy with God and a desire to be surrounded by those who truly seek Him. The longing in your heart is beautiful and reflects a spirit that desires purity and authenticity in fellowship. The Bible tells us in James 4:8, "Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded." Your prayer to be alone with God is not one of isolation but of intentional communion with the One who knows you fully and loves you completely.
It is wise to guard your heart against those who may pretend to be friends but do not honor God. Psalm 1:1-2 warns us, "Blessed is the man who doesn’t walk in the counsel of the wicked, nor stand in the way of sinners, nor sit in the seat of scoffers; but his delight is in Yahweh’s law. On his law he meditates day and night." True friendship is rooted in a shared love for God and His Word. We must be discerning, for not everyone who claims to follow Christ does so with a sincere heart. Jesus Himself warned in Matthew 7:15, "Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly are ravening wolves."
Let us pray together for you:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up this dear one who seeks to draw closer to You. Lord, we ask that You would meet them in their quiet moments, that You would fill their heart with Your peace and presence. Teach them to pray without ceasing, to seek Your face above all else, and to find their joy in You alone. Father, we ask that You would surround them with godly friends—those who will sharpen them as iron sharpens iron, who will encourage them in their walk with You, and who will stand with them in truth and love.
Protect their heart from the deception of false friends and the influence of those who do not honor You. Give them discernment to recognize those who truly seek Your will and those who would lead them astray. Help them to be a light in this world, drawing others to You through their love and obedience. Lord, we rebuke every spirit of loneliness or discouragement that would try to steal their focus from You. Remind them that You are their closest Friend, their ever-present Help, and their eternal Companion.
We pray that You would fill them with Your Holy Spirit, guiding them into all truth and empowering them to live a life that glorifies You. May their time alone with You be sweet and transformative, deepening their faith and strengthening their resolve to walk in Your ways. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to continue seeking God in the secret place, for it is there that He reveals Himself most intimately. Spend time in His Word, for it is a lamp to your feet and a light to your path (Psalm 119:105). Let your heart be anchored in the truth that God is your refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). As you seek Him, He will bring the right people into your life—those who will stand with you in faith and love.
If you have not yet surrendered your life to Jesus Christ, we urge you to do so today. Romans 10:9 tells us, "That if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved." There is no greater decision than to accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior, for He alone can save you and give you eternal life. May the Lord bless you and keep you; may He make His face shine upon you and be gracious to you; may He lift up His countenance upon you and give you peace (Numbers 6:24-26).
