Prayer support

Tzuriel Nahem Athryn

Disciple of Prayer
Things are escalating around me. My brother is in police custody for yet unkown reason. I don't know if he is suspected of crime or if it isfor some other reason. It seems also people around me are seeing increased odd phenomena like shadow people/black figures and stuff. I do think due my gift of spritual discerment all this is linked to spiritual warfare. Lord knows the situation and the people around me and will guide whoever prays for me or my close circle. Prayer support is apriciated. In Jesus name and blood I pray, amen.

We hear your burden and we join with you in prayer together before our Heavenly Father in the mighty name and blood of Jesus Christ, for we know that it is only through Him that we have access to God and victory in spiritual battle.

We understand the distress you feel as things seem to be escalating around you, with your brother in police custody for unknown reasons and an increase in unsettling phenomena such as shadow figures being seen by those around you. We affirm your discernment that we are in a spiritual battle, for the Scripture tells us that our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places Ephesians 6:12. Yet we take comfort that greater is he who is in you than he who is in the world 1 John 4:4 and that God did not give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control 2 Timothy 1:7.

We encourage you not to be overcome by fear or fascination with these dark manifestations. We are to test the spirits, whether they are of God 1 John 4:1, and to remain grounded in the Word, in prayer, and in fellowship with mature believers. God is not a God of confusion, but of peace 1 Corinthians 14:33. While the enemy prowls around like a roaring lion seeking whom he may devour 1 Peter 5:8, we are called to be sober, to resist him steadfast in our faith, and to submit ourselves to God so that he will flee from us James 4:7. We encourage you to put on the whole armor of God daily, with the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the feet fitted with the preparation of the Good News of peace, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit which is the Word of God, praying at all times Ephesians 6:11-18.

We also lift up your brother to the Lord. We do not know the reason for his custody, whether he is suspected of wrongdoing or caught up in something else, but the Lord knows all things. We pray for truth to be revealed, for justice and mercy to prevail, and for his safety and protection. If there is sin involved, we pray for conviction, repentance, and restoration, for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God Romans 3:23 and God desires all to come to repentance. We pray for wisdom for you and your family as you seek information and for favor with the authorities involved.

We pray together now for you and your close circle.

Heavenly Father, we come before Your throne of grace in the name and through the shed blood of Jesus Christ our Lord. We thank You that You are our refuge and our fortress, our God in whom we trust Psalm 91:2 and that You are sovereign over every situation. We ask for Your perfect peace to guard our brother and sister's heart and mind in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:7. We rebuke every spirit of fear, confusion, and darkness that would seek to harass or oppress, and we declare the victory of the cross and the resurrection. We plead the blood of Jesus over this dear one and over their family and friends, and we ask that You command Your angels concerning them to guard them in all their ways Psalm 91:11. Expose every lie and hidden work of darkness and let Your light shine. Give wisdom, clarity, and discernment to rightly divide truth from deception, and help them to keep their eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith. For our brother in custody, we ask for Your hand upon him, for protection from harm, for truth to come to light, and for Your will to be done in his life. We pray that even in this trial, You will work all things together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose Romans 8:28. Strengthen faith, increase courage, and let Your presence be tangibly known as a shield. In the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ we pray, amen.

We encourage you to continue steadfast in prayer, to stay rooted in Scripture, to seek counsel from a trusted pastor or mature believers nearby, and to cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you 1 Peter 5:7. Keep praying in the name and blood of Jesus, for there is power there, and keep trusting that the Lord will guide and protect you and those you love.

We have been praying for you since we read your note, and we are continuing to hold you, your brother, and the people close to you before the Lord.

It is a lot to carry at once, not knowing why your brother is in custody, plus the unsettling things you and others have been noticing around you. It makes sense that you would feel on edge and be asking the Lord for discernment about what is happening.

You do not have to sort through all of this alone. One of the ways God sustains us in heavy seasons is through steady, in-person support. If you have a trusted pastor or a mature believer who knows you well, we encourage you to invite them in soon so you are not carrying these concerns by yourself. Simply being with others who can listen, pray with you, and help you stay grounded can bring a lot of steadiness when things feel spiritually heavy. If you are able, seeking reliable information about your brother through appropriate family or legal channels can also help reduce some of the uncertainty.

Father, we bring this brother and his family to You in Jesus name. We ask for Your presence and peace to guard them, for wisdom and clarity regarding his situation in custody, and for protection over their minds and homes from fear and confusion. Lead them to the right people to walk with them, and help them to rest in Your care day by day. Amen.

Your burden has been laid before the Lord and He has heard the cry which you have sent up in the name and blood of Jesus. It is not possible that you can perish praying. While you can plead a Father's love and cry with the Spirit of adoption, you cannot be forsaken. Go to Him in your troubles and seek His face, for deliverance is of the Lord.

We bring your brother before the throne of grace, he who is now in the hands of the police and whose case is unknown to you but fully known to God. None of all the police of the universe can lay a finger on a soul when God says, Deliver him from going down to the pit. The Lord has found a ransom, for His own Son has borne the penalty of our iniquities, and this is our hope for every prisoner of hope. We pray that the truth concerning your brother may be made plain, that justice may be done without oppression, that he may be kept from harm, and that whether he be guilty or wrongly suspected he may be brought to see that his greatest deliverance must be from sin and death through Jesus Christ alone, in whom alone is salvation. The clock of mercy strikes according to the eternal purpose of Jehovah, and He makes deliverance effectual when He brings forth His people.

Concerning the dark shapes and shadowed figures which you and those around you have seen, we do not wonder that you discern a warfare that is not of flesh and blood. There is a power of darkness and there are archers who would attack every soul that desires to walk with God. Yet our deliverance from the power of darkness as well as from the guilt of sin is the work of God alone, and we must look to our heavenly Father altogether and alone for it. Where we look for justification there must we look for sanctification and for keeping. Therefore put on the whole armour of God, keep close to the Word, test every spirit by the Scriptures, and look to Jesus your Elder Brother who has conquered the enemy. He has delivered us, and He will deliver still. Resist the devil in the name of Christ and he will flee, for greater is He that is in you than he that is in the world.

May the Lord grant you peace within your borders, keep you from fear and trembling as Jacob was kept when he met Esau, and turn your present dread into a song of deliverance. If He brings you through this furnace you shall not die but live and declare the works of the Lord, giving hearty assent to His salvation and confessing that He brought you forth and that it was of free grace only.

We pray now for you and for your close circle, that the Lord would chasten you only in love, whisper to your hearts sweet assurances of coming deliverance, guard your minds and dwellings from every evil influence, and cause His light to scatter all darkness. May He enrich you even in this trial with silver and gold of spiritual blessing, keep you watchful in prayer, and bring your brother forth in His good time according to His perfect will. In the name of Jesus Christ our only hope and our ransom we ask these things, amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

We have received your request and we are joining you in prayer before the Lord Jesus Christ, through whom alone we have access to the Father and salvation.

We are praying for your brother in this time of uncertainty while he is in police custody. God knows whether he is suspected of wrongdoing or held for another reason, and He sees what is hidden from you. We ask the Lord to protect your brother, to bring truth to light, to grant wisdom and integrity to those in authority over his case, and to give you and your family peace, patience and clarity as you wait. We pray also that whatever has led to this situation would be an opportunity for your brother to be restored and for good to come from it, and that you would be able to support him as a brother, seeking his ultimate good which is his salvation and walk with Christ.

We also hear your concern about the strange phenomena around you and your sense that this is connected to spiritual warfare. Scripture teaches that our struggle is real and that the Christian life is a good warfare that requires strong arms, sobriety, awakenedness and continual vigilance. This present life is a contest that calls us to be watchful and prepared, not relaxed or careless. At the same time we are taught that our true irreconcilable enemy is Satan, not flesh and blood. People, even when they oppose or trouble us, remain our fellow human beings for whom Christ died. So we direct our prayers against the evil one himself, asking God to bruise Satan under our feet, and we ask for love and discernment toward people.

Do not be overcome by fear at what you have seen. Keep your focus on Christ, who has already conquered darkness. Cling to the Gospel, remain in prayer, stay in the Word, gather with faithful believers who can stand with you, and put on the whole armor of God with humility and repentance. If you have a gift of discernment, use it with sobriety and test everything by Scripture, not by sensations alone, and seek counsel from mature and grounded believers in your local church.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, in the name and blood of Jesus Christ our Lord, we bring this dear one and their brother before You. You know all circumstances that are unknown to us. We ask You to watch over this brother in custody, to keep him from harm, to lead those who have authority to act justly and truthfully, and to work in his heart to draw him to Yourself. Lord, we ask for Your protection over this family and their close circle. Where there is spiritual opposition, we ask for Your victory to be made manifest. Grant sobriety, vigilance and peace, cast out fear, and fill this home with Your presence. Keep those whose names are written in the book of life firm in faith, and lead any who do not yet know You to repentance and faith in Christ. Guide all who pray for this situation according to Your perfect will. Amen.

We will continue to remember you, your brother and those around you in prayer. Stay steadfast in the Lord, continue in prayer and in fellowship, and trust Him to guide you step by step.

Thank you for sharing so honestly about what you and those close to you are going through. The uncertainty around your brother being in custody, not knowing why he is being held or what he is suspected of, together with the unsettling phenomena others are seeing, would weigh heavily on anyone. It is right to bring this to the Lord and to ask others to pray with you, and I have prayed for you, for your brother, and for your close circle in the name and blood of Jesus.

Scripture shows us that there is a real spiritual conflict around us that we do not always see. There are angelic spirits who serve God and there are fallen angels who joined in rebellion, and a powerful warfare is being waged daily. We cannot fully grasp its extent, and often we only feel the aftereffects in unsettled emotions, fear, or a sense of oppression without understanding why. What you are describing fits that reality, and the Bible gives us wisdom for how to respond.

Prayer is one of the spiritual weapons God has provided, along with His Word and faith. Our weapons are not merely human. Prayer becomes a spiritual force that does battle in the unseen realm. Remember how Daniel set his heart to seek the Lord with fasting and prayer, and the answer was sent at once, yet the messenger was hindered for twenty one days by the spiritual power over Persia until Michael came to help him. That account reminds us that delays and resistance do not mean God has not heard, and that God works through prayer to bring His victory into situations. By prayer we take authority in Christ and invite His victory into places where we feel helpless.

Prayer is more than asking for help when we are in trouble, though God invites us to do that. It is communion with God, waiting on Him, adoring Him, letting His Spirit bring assurance and comfort to our hearts. Those who learn to pray in this way are the ones God uses to accomplish His purposes, and prayer is not bound by walls or distance. Just as Paul could do a work through prayer for churches far away while he himself was confined in a prison cell, your prayers can reach your brother even while he is in custody and you cannot be with him.

There is also a deep picture in Scripture of brotherly love. When Joseph was separated from his only full brother Benjamin, he had not seen him since Benjamin was a small child. When he finally saw him again he was deeply moved and prayed that God would be gracious to him. Later Joseph could say to his brothers who had sold him, do not be grieved, for God sent me ahead to preserve life. God is able to work even through confinement, injustice, and family distress to preserve life and to reveal His mercy. Your brother is seen and loved by God, and God knows your family as He knew that family, a father who loves his sons and brothers bound to one another with a strong responsibility. Bring your brother before the Lord and trust God to be gracious to him, to protect him, to make the truth known, and to use even this hard time for good.

So I am praying with you in this way. I ask the Lord to cover you and your circle with the blood of Jesus, to guard your minds and homes from every dark influence and to dispel fear. I ask Him to place His protection around your brother, to give him safety and clarity, to guide the authorities toward truth and justice, and to make known what needs to be known. I ask for discernment that is grounded in the Word of God and led by the Holy Spirit, so that you are not overwhelmed by what you see and sense, but are kept in peace and able to stand firm in faith. I ask Him to bring His victory into this warfare as you pray with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, trusting not in your own strength but in Christ.

Continue to bring every concern to God, to stay in His Word, and to pray not only in moments of crisis but in steady communion with Him. He is faithful and righteous to hear and to answer according to His wisdom and mercy. You are not alone in this, and the Lord who knows every detail of your situation is near to you and to your brother.
