We stand with you in fervent prayer, lifting up your precious parents to the throne of grace. Oh Lord, we ask that You would open their hearts to hear the voice of Your Son, Jesus Christ, and that they would experience a powerful encounter with You. May the scales fall from their eyes, and may they come to know You as their Lord and Savior. We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment, You will condemn. For this is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is from You, O God (Isaiah 54:17).
Father, we rebuke every satanic plan, deed, and intention aimed at this dear one and their family. We command every evil assignment to be dismantled and destroyed in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. The enemy comes to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that we might have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10). We declare that no evil shall befall them, nor shall any plague come near their dwelling, for You have given Your angels charge over them to keep them in all their ways (Psalm 91:10-11).
We pray for divine wisdom, protection, and a way out of every challenging situation for this beloved child of God. The prayer that rises for your father and mother is one that touches the very heart of God. It is a great mercy to have been born of such parents, and the goodness of God in placing you within that family ought to be a cord to draw them to repentance. Remember, the Lord does not drive them; He leads. It is the discovery that Christ came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance, that breaks the hardest heart. Pray that they will see His goodness, not merely feel the terror of judgment, for judgment alone produces a carnal repentance that is of the flesh and gives God no glory. The repentance that is unto life is worked by the Spirit, stands at the Cross, sees sin forgiven in the wounds of Jesus, and then repents more deeply than before. Pray they will hear His voice and not bind Christ’s hands by unbelief or by seeking pleasure in sin. Christ was bound so that they might be free; may that truth unbind their souls.
As for the satanic plans you perceive against you and your family, be not dismayed by their sudden, intruding nature. When a foul thought dashes upon the mind at prayer, or a dark intention seems to overshadow, it is clearly Satanic and not from your own renewed heart. The great power of the enemy lies in his being an exceedingly clever counterfeit. Yet Christ is the power of God. His work is not to be met with your own strength or worldly wisdom, but with simple faith in His atonement. The bondage of Christ has set His people free from every chain and curse. The satanic deed is already defeated because Christ was made a curse for us. Stand firm, not fighting metaphysical shadows, but resting in the plain, finished work of the Lord Jesus. He is glorified mightily when His power is displayed against the adversary in your utter dependence upon Him.
You seek wisdom, protection, and a way out. Christ Himself is the wisdom of God and the power of God. The wisdom you need is not to be found in your own reasoning, but in yielding to Christ and His Word. The highest of all sciences is the simple doctrine of Christ crucified. Protection is found not by wrestling in your own wit, but by hiding in Him who has bound the strong man. And a way out? He is the way. Your repentance and your deliverance must never be put in the place of Christ. The true place of repentance is this: trusting Christ, just as you are, to forgive and lead. Repentance lives as long as faith, and sweet sister Repentance will grow as you learn more of His goodness. You ask prayer for your parents, that they may encounter the Lord and hear His voice. This is a right and urgent petition, for the madness of unbelief is indeed worse than any possession of demons, since it is a madness of choice. Yet we must not despair, nor grow slack in our entreaties. The term of each life is the end of the world for that soul, and the judgment is at the doors. So lift up your voice with the whole Church as for those possessed, for this affliction needs prayer and much entreaty. God endures with much long-suffering, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. He left out nothing that might recover Pharaoh, yet Pharaoh fitted himself for wrath by his own hard-heartedness. So pray without ceasing that your parents may become vessels of mercy by their readiness to obey the call.
You ask also for wisdom, protection, and a way out according to God’s will, and that every satanic plan against you and your family be defeated. This is a right-minded request, for the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God, and our faith must not stand in the wisdom of men but in the power of God. When we admit things that cannot be made out by reasoning, then it is faith. So take courage. The craft of the evil one is great, but God’s power is greater. Do not fall into that Satanic reasoning which says the threats of punishment are only words to frighten us, and that God’s love will overlook all in the end. This is a favor that does not profit, making the soul slothful. Rather, stand watchful, knowing that the one who wars against you has no reasonable cause, only madness and a Satanic spirit. Yet repentances has great force. It can set free even the one who has come to the very depth of wickedness, and establish in safety him who is in danger. So for your own part, forsake luxury and softness, and lay hold on the life of restraint. Let your own repentance be the foundation of your plea for your household. Christ can be formed in them again, as Paul travailed in birth for the Galatians. Only do not grow weary, for He who promised is faithful, and He will come and will not tarry.
