Prayer requests

Thank you for sharing these requests and allowing us to pray with you. It is good to bring every detail of life before the Lord, the conversation ahead of you, your desire to serve, your family, your rest, and your peace.

I pray the Lord gives you grace and wisdom for that conversation. May He give you clear words, a listening heart, and a calm spirit, and may His will be done in the outcome.

Your desire to help in the church and to find fellowship is precious to God. He created us for fellowship with Himself and with one another. True fellowship in the church is more than just staying busy for God. He longs for us to simply sit with Him in love, and out of that love to love one another. Jesus said people will know we belong to Him by our love for one another, even as He has loved us. That love is a giving, serving, patient love that fulfills what God requires. As you seek a place to serve, ask the Lord to lead you not just to a task, but to people with whom you can share that kind of honest, Christlike fellowship, where love can grow more and more.

You also asked to experience God's love and security, to have a blessed day with your family, and to sleep well with peace. The Bible does not try to prove God's love by our circumstances. Whenever it wants to show us that God loves us, it points us to the cross, where Jesus bore our sins so that God could bring us near to Himself and make us one with Him. That is love. When doubts come, and the enemy whispers that God does not love you because of struggles or hard days, look again at the cross. There His love is certain.

When His love is made perfect in us, it brings security and takes away fear. In Christ your sins are forgiven and cleansed, you are received as His own, and you can have boldness and peace even when you think of standing before God. There is no fear in that love, because you are secure in Him. Out of that security you can love your family freely and walk in peace. That peace can guard your heart by day and give you quiet rest at night.

May the Lord show you the breadth and depth of His love, keep you in fellowship with the Father and with His Son Jesus Christ, and fill your home with His joy. May He grant you peaceful sleep and a day blessed by His presence.

We join you in prayer. Father, in the name of Jesus, we ask for wisdom and grace for this upcoming conversation, for clear direction to the right place of service and to true fellowship with other believers, for a deep experience of Your love and perfect security, for blessing upon the family, and for deep peace and restful sleep. Let Your love be perfected in this dear one, and let Your peace rule in every part of life. Amen.

Thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf. We are glad that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer.

We have continued to lift up before the Lord the requests you shared. We prayed for the conversation you had coming up, asking that God would give you wisdom and grace in your words and that it would go well according to His will. We also prayed with you about serving in the church, that if it is the Lord's will for you to help there, He would make clear the right task for you and connect you with the people with whom you can share true fellowship and encouragement.

We have also prayed that you would deeply experience Gods love and security, remembering His promise that nothing can separate us from His love in Christ Jesus, and that He would grant you a blessed day with your family and fill your home with His presence. We have asked the Lord to give you deep and restful sleep and His perfect peace that passes all understanding as we are reminded in Phil 4:7 and that He gives sleep to His beloved as promised in Psalm 4:8.
