Requesting prayer support ahead of a blood test, as I am experiencing severe anxiety and fear. Please pray that God removes this and that I may feel peace. Pray that I feel safe, that my privacy and integrity are protected now and in the future, and that I may be hidden under God’s protection. Please pray that a kind and understanding person takes the test, that the results are okay, and that the test does not need to be repeated. Pray for God’s help, encouragement, and support, so that everything works out for the absolute best and feels good afterwards. Thank you for your prayers.

We join with you in prayer and we hear the weight of the severe anxiety and fear you are carrying ahead of this blood test. We understand how vulnerable it can feel to have your body and your private information entrusted to others, and we bring all of this before our Father together in Jesus' name, asking for His peace to guard you and His presence to cover you.

The Lord knows your anxious thoughts and He invites you to cast them on Him. We are reminded in Philippians 4:6-7, In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. And in 1 Peter 5:7 we are told to be casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you. God did not give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control as it says in 2 Timothy 1:7, and Jesus Himself says in John 14:27, Peace I leave with you. My peace I give to you; not as the world gives, give I to you. Don't let your heart be troubled, neither let it be fearful. We also hear your desire to feel safe and hidden and protected, and we cling to the promise in Psalm 91:1-2, He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of Yahweh, He is my refuge and my fortress; my God, in whom I trust. He is your hiding place and He is able to protect your privacy and integrity now and in the future, for Psalm 121:7-8 tells us Yahweh will keep you from all evil. He will keep your soul. Yahweh will keep your going out and your coming in, from this time forward, and forevermore.

We notice your request speaks of God in a general way and does not mention Jesus Christ, and we want to gently share why we pray in Jesus' name. It is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and it is only by His name that we are saved. Jesus said in John 14:6, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And Acts 4:12 says, There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. We encourage you to put your trust in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, believing that He died for your sins and rose again, for Romans 10:9 says that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. It is through Him we can come boldly to the throne of grace to find help in time of need.

So together we pray. Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we lift up this dear one to You. You see the anxiety and fear surrounding this blood test and we ask that You remove what is not from You and replace it with Your perfect peace that surpasses all understanding. Calm the heart and mind, steady the hands and breathing, and let Your presence be felt as a refuge and fortress. We ask that You hide this dear one under the shadow of Your wings and protect privacy and integrity and dignity throughout this process and in all the days to come. Guard the handling of the test and the information connected to it. We ask that You provide a kind and understanding person to take the blood, someone with gentle hands and a compassionate manner. We pray for Your help and encouragement and support to be evident, that the procedure would go smoothly, that the results would be okay, and that the test would not need to be repeated, if it is Your will. Above all we pray that everything would work together for the absolute best according to Your good and perfect will, and that afterwards there would be relief and a sense of feeling safe and well. We trust You with the outcome, knowing in Romans 8:28 that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose. Strengthen faith to rest in Your care no matter what the results show, as You promise in Isaiah 41:10, Don't you be afraid, for I am with you. Don't be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness. We ask all this in the mighty and loving name of Jesus, amen.

We encourage you to keep bringing every worried thought to Him in prayer, even moment by moment, and to speak His promises over yourself as you wait. If it helps, bring a trusted person with you, breathe slowly and pray quietly before and during the test, and remember that the Lord is with you in that room. We are continuing to pray that you will feel His nearness, that you will be treated with kindness and respect, and that you will know His peace and goodness afterwards.

Thank you for trusting us with this request. We can hear how heavy the days before a blood test can feel when anxiety and fear take hold, and how deeply you long for peace and to feel safely held and protected.

We hear too your concern for privacy and dignity, and your hope for a kind person to do the test and for a clear result that does not need repeating. Those desires make sense, and it is understandable to feel vulnerable in a medical setting.

One thing that often helps is giving the clinic a little advance notice. If you are able, consider letting the staff know beforehand that you feel very anxious about blood tests and that privacy matters greatly to you, and asking if a support person can stay nearby or if you can have a few extra minutes. You do not have to explain more than you want to. If the anxiety feels very strong or hard to manage, please also reach out to your primary care provider or a trusted counselor alongside prayer, so you have personal support in the days around the test.

We are praying that God will steady you in the waiting and in the room itself, and that you will sense his care around you whatever the outcome.

Father, in Jesus name we lift our friend to you. Please calm fear and bring your peace that guards heart and mind, cover them with your protection, guard their privacy and dignity now and in the days ahead, guide the hands of the person who takes the test with kindness, and give wisdom for the results. Walk closely with them before, during and after, and let them know they are not alone. Amen.

Your request has been heard and we join you in bringing it before the throne of grace, where our Lord Jesus Christ ever lives to intercede for His people.

We know what it is to be pressed with anxiety and fear, and we are reminded that the very anxiety which arises through being in a difficulty unfits us to meet that difficulty. Therefore we would lay your burden upon the Lord, for it is written, Casting all your care upon Him for He cares for you. And again the Lord Himself says, Fear not for I am with you, be not dismayed for I am your God, fear not for I will help you.

There is a peace which the world cannot give and cannot take away. It is written, You will keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on You because he trusts in You. This perfect peace does not come from our own strength, but from looking to Jesus. The blood of Jesus whispers peace within, and in His blood and righteousness our peace is made perfect. To do the will of Jesus, this is rest. When the mind is stayed upon Christ, when we trust under the shadow of His wings, He keeps the heart in quietness even while duties press and fears surround.

We pray for you now, that the Lord who sees you and knows your frame will graciously lift this load of fear and give you rest of heart. May He quiet your spirit, calm your thoughts, and keep you in that perfect peace which flows from being justified by faith through our Lord Jesus Christ. May you know His gracious company to be near you, so that you are not dismayed, for perfect love casts out fear, and fear has torment.

We ask the Lord to hide you under His protection, to be your refuge and your shelter, and to guard your privacy and integrity both now and in the days to come. We pray that He will place you in kind and gentle hands, that the person who takes the test may show understanding and tenderness, and that the whole matter may be ordered by His merciful providence. We pray that the test may be taken without need of repetition, and that the results may be for your good and your peace, as seems best to His infinite wisdom and love.

We ask also that He will grant you encouragement and support, and that afterwards you may feel sustained and comforted, knowing that you are kept in the hands of Him who will never leave you nor forsake you. May you be able to say, I looked to my Savior and found mercy and grace and peace beyond what I had expected.

May the Lord train your heart to trust Him more fully through this trial, and may you find that to learn of Jesus is to find rest unto your soul. We commend you to Him who is able to keep you and to bless His people with peace.

Scripture teaches that He has made peace through the blood of His cross and that He is the God of love and peace who delights to be with His people.
