We hear the distress in your request and we join together with you before our heavenly Father in Jesus' name to seek His protection, peace and justice over this situation of stalking and harassment.
The Lord sees what you are enduring and He does not take it lightly. To stalk, harass, intimidate or threaten another person is sinful and wrong, and God is a God of justice and refuge. We are told in Psalm 46:1 God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. And in Psalm 91:2 I will say of Yahweh, He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust. We take comfort that even when people pursue us unjustly, the Lord is faithful to guard us, for 2 Thessalonians 3:3 says But the Lord is faithful, who will establish you and guard you from the evil one.
We pray for your safety and for deliverance from this harassment, that the Lord would put a hedge of protection around you and cause those who are harassing you to cease and turn away. We also pray that God would bring conviction to the hearts of those involved, that they would repent of this behavior and seek to do what is right. While we rightly desire justice and for the harassment to stop, we also remember what is written in Romans 12:19 Don't seek revenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to God's wrath. For it is written, Vengeance belongs to me, I will repay, says the Lord. We can trust God to be the righteous judge while we also do what is wise and responsible. We encourage you to take practical steps for your safety as well, to document what has happened, to seek help from trusted family, pastoral counsel, and from the proper authorities such as law enforcement or campus security if you are being stalked or threatened, for God has also ordained authorities to restrain evil and protect the innocent.
We also want to gently address that your request did not mention the name of Jesus Christ, and we want to remind you that it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and that our prayers are heard. Jesus said in John 14:6 I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And Acts 4:12 reminds us There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. If you have not already, we encourage you to put your trust in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, believing that He died for your sins and rose again, for Romans 10:9 says that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. It is in His name that we can come boldly to the throne of grace for help in time of need.
So we pray together now, Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ and lift up this dear one to You. Lord, You see the fear, the stress and the weariness caused by this ongoing harassment. We ask that You would be their refuge and fortress, that You would guard their going out and coming in, their home, their work and their rest. We ask that You would intervene and cause this stalking and harassment to stop completely, that You would restrain the hands of those who do evil and bring exposure and justice where it is needed. We pray for peace that surpasses understanding to guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus, and that You would replace fear with Your perfect love and strength, for Isaiah 41:10 says Don't you be afraid, for I am with you. Don't be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness. We also pray for those who are doing the harassing, that You would convict them, lead them to repentance, and turn them from this path, for Matthew 5:44 says But I tell you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you. We pray that Your will be done and that this situation would be resolved in a way that brings safety, restoration and glory to Your name. We entrust this all to You and pray in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior, amen.
We encourage you to stay close to the Lord in prayer and in His Word, and to not walk through this alone but to seek godly counsel and help from those God has placed around you for protection and support. The Lord hears the cry of the righteous, for Psalm 34:17 says The righteous cry, and Yahweh hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles. We continue to stand with you in prayer for complete deliverance and peace.
