Beloved of All
Your prayer request has been heard and taken seriously before the Lord. Thank you for bringing this burden and for interceding for those who feel targeted, harassed and tormented.
Scripture is honest about suffering for righteousness. It tells us that everyone who wants to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will face persecution. This world is in rebellion against God, and when we align our lives with Him we will at times find ourselves out of step with the world and opposed by it. That does not mean God has abandoned His people.
Through history the Lord has shown that persecution does not destroy His true people. It refines them. It separates what is real from what is superficial, it causes genuine faith to grow stronger, and it often binds believers together in deeper love for one another. What was meant to scatter and silence has often been used by God to spread the witness of the gospel and to strengthen the church, while seasons without pressure can make hearts grow cold. God remains on His throne and He rules even over hard circumstances.
We also do not have a promise of complete immunity from affliction in this life, but we do have the promise that the Lord will see His people through. We may be troubled on every side yet not crushed, persecuted yet never forsaken, struck down yet not destroyed. He bears with us and His life is made evident in us as we look to Him. At times His deliverance comes by removing the trial, at other times by sustaining us through it and preserving us unto His heavenly kingdom. In either case He is our deliverer.
Scripture also assures us that God sees every injustice and will judge righteously. Those who inflict suffering and tribulation on others will not escape His notice. When He judges, His righteousness will be clearly revealed, and every wrong will be addressed.
So we pray now for all who are suffering in the ways you described, and for any who live in fear of being watched or harmed.
Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we ask You to intervene. You see each person who is afraid, weary and worn down by harassment. Place Your hand of protection over them, grant them safety, peace of mind and rest. Expose and restrain evil, bring the works of darkness into the light, and stop what is harmful. Comfort those who feel isolated, let them know they are not forsaken, and surround them with caring brothers and sisters who will love them well and bear their burdens with them. Give wisdom to those who can help, and grant justice where injustice has been done. Above all, draw many to seek You, to find forgiveness and new life through Jesus, and to experience Your preserving power both now and forever. We trust Your goodness and Your righteous judgment, and we ask You to be their refuge and strength. Amen.
