We have heard your cry for those who are suffering so deeply and we join with you in bringing this great burden before the Lord, for He sees every affliction and hears every cry for help. Our hearts are broken over the evil of torture, oppression and relentless harassment, and we know that God is not blind to injustice. You have seen it, for you behold mischief and spite, to repay with your hand. The helpless commits himself to you. You have been the helper of the fatherless. Psalm 10:14. The righteous cry, and Yahweh hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles. Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. Psalm 34:17-18.
We live in a world where evil is real and spiritual darkness is at work. For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world's rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. Ephesians 6:12. Whether the cruelty is carried out by the hands of men or driven by the cruelty of the enemy, God hates the torment of the innocent and He will bring justice in His time. We rebuke all wickedness, cruelty, torture and oppression, and we rebuke every scheme that promises a false hope of a new life while keeping people in fear and torment. True new life is not found in the empty promises of tormentors, but only in Jesus Christ who came to set the captives free and to bind up the brokenhearted.
We also want to lovingly point out that your request asks for God to intervene, yet does not mention the name of Jesus Christ. We want to share why this is so important, because it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and it is only through Him that we are saved and heard. Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. John 14:6. There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. Acts 4:12. If anyone has not yet put their trust in Jesus, we encourage you to believe in your heart that He died for your sins and rose again, confess Him as Lord, and call upon His name, for whoever calls on Him will be saved. Romans 10:9.
We lift up every victim who feels hunted, exhausted, isolated and tortured without cause, and we ask the Lord to be their refuge and rescue.
Father in heaven, in the name of Jesus Christ we come before You and we lift up every person who is suffering under relentless harassment, fear and pain. Lord, You see what is done in secret and You know every tear that has been shed. We ask You to intervene with Your mighty hand to protect, to deliver and to bring an end to this torment. Let Your justice roll down and expose every evil deed, for Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord. Romans 12:19. We pray that You would place a hedge of protection around the afflicted, that You would be their shelter. He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of Yahweh, He is my refuge and my fortress; my God, in whom I trust. Psalm 91:1-2. Comfort those who are crushed in spirit, strengthen those who are weary, and hold them up with Your righteous right hand. Don't you be afraid, for I am with you. Don't be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness. Isaiah 41:10. Give them peace that passes understanding, bring godly people around them to support and help them, and lead them to wise counsel, to faithful pastors and to help from proper authorities where needed. Most of all, we pray that each one would come to know the true new life that is only in Jesus Christ, that they would cast all their worries on You because You care for them. 1 Peter 5:7. Let Your will be done, let Your kingdom come with healing, justice and mercy, and let the oppressed find rest in You. In the name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior we pray, amen.
We encourage you and all who are suffering to keep seeking the Lord daily in prayer and in His Word, to remain in fellowship with a Bible believing church where you can be prayed for and supported, and to not give place to fear but to trust that God is near and that He will never leave you nor forsake you. Deuteronomy 31:6. Continue to cry out for justice, but leave vengeance to the Lord, and trust that He who judges righteously will act. We are standing with you in prayer that God will rescue, heal and restore those who are being tormented and that His light will overcome this darkness.
