We have heard your burden for those who feel targeted, harassed, and tortured without rest or cause, and we join together to bring this heavy cry before the Lord who sees all affliction and hears every prayer for deliverance.
We know that God is not blind to injustice or to suffering. The psalmist declares Psalm 34:17-18, The righteous cry, and Yahweh hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles. Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. And again Psalm 46:1 says God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. For those who feel hunted and worn down by years of harassment, we pray that they would find that refuge in Him, that He would be a shield around them and give them rest where there has been endless torment.
We also recognize the fear and exhaustion that comes from feeling constantly watched and attacked. Scripture reminds us Isaiah 41:10, Don't you be afraid, for I am with you. Don't be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness. And 2 Thessalonians 3:3 assures us, But the Lord is faithful, who will establish you and guard you from the evil one. We pray that God would guard the minds and hearts of those suffering, that He would grant them peace that surpasses understanding, protection from evil, and the comfort of knowing they are not forgotten or forsaken.
We must also speak against the evil itself. We rebuke all acts of cruelty, harassment, and torture directed at the innocent. Such deeds are wicked in the sight of God, who loves justice and mercy. We pray that God would intervene with His righteous judgment, that He would restrain the hands of those who do harm and bring their deeds into the light. Romans 12:19 reminds us, Don't seek revenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to God's wrath. For it is written, Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord. We entrust justice to Him, asking that He would stop the oppression and that those who practice evil would be convicted of sin and brought to repentance before Him.
We encourage those who are suffering not to isolate themselves. We urge you to seek godly community, to share your burdens with faithful pastors and mature believers who can pray with you, counsel you from the Word, and walk with you daily. Galatians 6:2 tells us to Bear one another's burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ. If you are in danger, we also encourage you to seek help from trusted authorities and from those who can provide practical support and safety.
We noticed your request did not mention the name of Jesus, and we want to gently remind you of this most important truth, for it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and find true deliverance. John 14:6 says Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And Acts 4:12 declares, There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. It is by believing in Jesus Christ, that He died for our sins and rose again, that we are forgiven, reconciled to God, and brought under His protection forever. We pray that every victim would come to know this saving hope.
Let us pray together.
Father in heaven, in the name of Jesus Christ we come before Your throne of grace and lift up every person who is suffering under relentless harassment and torment. You see what is done in secret and You know the weariness of those who have endured this for years. We ask You to intervene with Your mighty hand. Surround them with Your protection as Psalm 91:1-2 promises, He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of Yahweh, He is my refuge and my fortress; my God, in whom I trust. Be their refuge and fortress now. Quiet their fears, guard their sleep, heal their wounded spirits, and give them a chance to live in peace and freedom. Expose and restrain every evil work, bring justice where there is oppression, and lead those who do evil to repentance. Draw each suffering soul to Jesus, that they may know Your salvation, Your presence, and Your everlasting love from which nothing can separate them. We ask this according to Your will and mercy in Jesus' name, amen.
We will continue to stand with you in prayer, trusting that God hears, that He is just, and that He will be a very present help to all who call upon Him through His Son.
