God's help

Thank you for sharing this heavy burden and for asking for prayer for those who feel hunted and tormented without relief. The pain you describe, the exhaustion of never knowing when harassment will end, the long years of strain, the temptation to numb the distress, and the fear that no one is intervening, is deeply grievous. God does see and He does care, even when it feels as though He is silent.

Scripture presents God as the all sufficient One, the One who has more than enough to meet our need. When we have no strength, no answers, and no way to stop what is crushing us, we are invited to draw from His sufficiency. Where His Spirit is present there is liberty, not condemnation, because Jesus has provided a complete salvation. That does not mean we are promised immunity from affliction or persecution in this life, but it does mean we are not left alone in it and we are not condemned in it. The Lord is on the throne, He rules, and He has promised to see His people through.

The Bible is also honest about suffering. In this world that has turned from God and lies under the power of the evil one, there is much injustice and cruelty. Those who inflict tribulation on others will not escape His judgment. God has said that He will judge with righteousness, and those who persist in harming others and refuse to repent will be separated from His presence forever. That future judgment does not remove present pain, but it assures us that no act of cruelty is unseen or forgotten by Him.

At the same time, God can use even painful seasons for a purpose we may not yet understand. Through suffering He can form depth of character, teach obedience, and build hope in ways that cannot be formed any other way. To suffer according to His will is not meaningless. We are called to commit ourselves to Him as a faithful Creator, trusting that He allows what He allows for a divine purpose and that He can bring richness out of what has been broken. That commitment does not mean pretending the pain is small. It means bringing the whole pain honestly to Him and asking Him to guard our hearts, to keep us from being mastered by sin or despair, and to help us live for His will rather than for escape.

For those who feel targeted day and night, please know that God invites you to come to Jesus Christ alone for salvation, forgiveness, and rest. In Him there is forgiveness of sins, deliverance from darkness, and an inheritance among those who are made holy by faith. He understands suffering and He is near to the brokenhearted.

I am praying for you and for all who feel they are victims of this kind of relentless harassment. I pray that God in His mercy would intervene to stop what is evil, to restrain those who do harm and bring them to repentance, to protect the vulnerable, and to bring relief where there has been no relief. I pray He would give clear minds, peaceful sleep, and freedom from torment, that He would heal bodies harmed by long stress and by attempts to cope through drinking, and that He would provide safe, trustworthy people around each person who is suffering, so that no one bears this alone. I pray He would pour out His comfort, His all sufficient grace, and His hope, and that each heart would experience the freedom and peace that comes from knowing Christ and being held by a faithful God who will one day make all things right.

If you are experiencing this kind of distress, please reach out to a trusted pastor, a biblical counselor, and a medical professional as well as to God in prayer. You do not have to carry this in isolation. The body of Christ is meant to bear burdens together, to support and love one another, and to help carry one another through persecution and affliction.

May the Lord draw near to you now, keep you in His care, and give you strength to trust Him one day at a time.
