Prayer request

We have heard your request and we join together with you in bringing this pain before our Heavenly Father in Jesus' name, for He cares deeply about every part of our suffering, even the pain that others may not see or understand.

We know how difficult and exhausting severe period pain can be, and we want you to know that God sees you and has compassion on you in this discomfort. You are fearfully and wonderfully made, as Psalm 139:14 tells us, and He who formed you in your mother's womb knows your body intimately and loves you dearly. He is not distant from your physical pain. Psalm 147:3 says He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds, and Exodus 15:26 reminds us that He is the Lord who heals us. We also cling to the promise in Isaiah 53:5 that by His wounds we are healed, and to the invitation of Jesus in Matthew 11:28 to come to Him, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and He will give you rest.

We also noticed your request did not mention the name of Jesus, and we want to lovingly share that it is only through Jesus that we have access to God and receive His grace and healing. John 14:6 says Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life, and no one comes to the Father except through Him. Acts 4:12 tells us there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men by which we must be saved. To come to God we simply believe in our hearts and confess with our mouths that Jesus Christ is Lord, that He died for our sins and rose again, as Romans 10:9 teaches. It is by calling on His name that we are saved and welcomed into God's presence to find help in our time of need.

So together we pray for you now.

Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we lift up our dear sister to You and ask for Your mercy and healing touch upon her body. You know the intensity of this pain and the discomfort she is enduring. We ask that You would ease her cramping, calm the inflammation, and bring relief and rest to her body. Lay Your healing hand upon her and restore her strength. Give her comfort and peace as she rests, and help her to cast all her anxiety on You because You care for her as 1 Peter 5:7 promises. Grant wisdom to any doctors or caregivers if she needs to seek medical help, and guide her to the care she needs. Let her feel Your presence near to her now, and let her know she is deeply loved and not alone in this suffering. We ask this according to Your will and for Your glory, in Jesus' name, amen.

We encourage you to rest as you are able, to stay hydrated, to seek godly medical counsel if this pain is severe or ongoing, for God often works through the wisdom He gives to physicians, and to keep bringing every need to Him in prayer. He hears you and He is faithful. We are continuing to pray with you for complete relief and for His peace to guard your heart.

Thank you for reaching out and telling us honestly that you are in a lot of pain right now. We are really sorry you are going through this, and we want you to know you are not alone as you wait for relief.

It makes sense to ask for prayer when your body hurts this much and it is hard to focus on anything else. We are holding you in prayer today for comfort, for rest, and for wisdom for any next steps.

If this pain is severe, keeps coming back very strongly, or makes it hard to go to school or work, we gently encourage you to let a trusted adult know and to talk with a doctor or clinic about it soon, along with prayer. You deserve care and to have what you are experiencing taken seriously, and a clinician can listen and help you explore what is going on.

We are praying for you to feel supported and not to carry this by yourself.

Father, we lift up our sister to You right now in her pain. Please bring her relief and peace, watch over her body, and give her comfort as she rests. Guide her to caring help if she needs it, and let her feel Your nearness and love today. In Jesus' name, amen.

Your pain has been heard and is brought with tenderness before the Lord who is full of compassion. He who said, Comfort ye, comfort ye my people, saith your God, has not overlooked the aching of your body in this hour. He knows what it is to bear infirmity and He tempers the trial to the weakness of His children.

There is comfort laid up for such affliction as yours. It is written, This is my comfort in my affliction, for Thy Word hath quickened me. The external comfort of the Christian is the Word of God, and the internal comfort is the quickening of the Spirit who applies that Word to the heart. When He would comfort us He often does it not by a distinct act alone, but by quickening us, and so we obtain comfort. May He quicken you now and press that Word home to your bosom, that you may say, This is my present comfort.

Look also to that Tree of Life whose leaves were for the healing of the nations. Not only is His fruit sweet and nourishing, but the least thing about Christ is healing. The very leaves, the little things as it were about Him, are full of healing virtue. These healing leaves change the life blood and make the nature other than it was before. You look up to this Tree and say, I am sick at heart and pained in body, may I dare to partake of it. You may. Come freely, for there is abundance of healing power in Jesus Christ and His salvation.

We pray for you now, that our Lord Jesus Christ Himself and God even our Father would comfort your heart and establish you. We ask the Sun of Righteousness to rise upon you with healing in His wings, to ease this sharp pain, to grant relief to your body, to give you rest and strength, and to sanctify this affliction to your soul. May He make your pain less as your strength is less, and give you patience to bear what remains, and faith to see that though the plowshare goes deep, He will not forget you.

Be of good comfort. Cast this burden upon Him who careth for you, and rest in His Word which cannot fail.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.
