We join with you in bringing your son and your own home before the Lord, and we thank you for inviting us to pray with you in Jesus' name. It is a beautiful thing to desire that God would guide every practical decision and that your family would experience His tangible peace and care.
We are reminded that our homes and our futures are ultimately in His hands. Unless Yahweh builds the house, they labor in vain who build it. Unless Yahweh watches over the city, the watchman guards it in vain. Psalm 127:1. We take comfort that He cares about where we live, how we steward what He has provided, and the relationships He places around us. We also hold to the promise that My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:19, and that when we seek wisdom for big decisions like buying a house, we can ask with confidence, for if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. James 1:5.
We pray together for your son. Father in heaven, in the name of Jesus Christ we lift up this son to You. We ask that You guide him with Your perfect wisdom to the right house in the right location according to Your will. We pray that You will open the right doors and firmly close the wrong ones, and that You will make his paths straight as he trusts in You. Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight. Proverbs 3:5-6. We ask for a smooth, affordable purchase without complications, hidden problems, or deceptive dealings. Give him discernment regarding finances, that he would not be burdened beyond what is wise, but would steward resources well for Your glory. We pray that if it is Your will, You would provide a home near his parent so that their relationship can continue to be strengthened and that they may encourage one another often, yet above all we surrender the location and timing to Your better plan, for we know Your thoughts toward us are thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future. Jeremiah 29:11.
We also lift up your own home to the Lord. Father, we ask that You bring order, blessing, and Your presence into this home. Let it be a place of peace and refuge, where Your healing and care are felt in a tangible way each day. We pray In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7 may be the daily experience for you both. Encourage your hearts, Lord, strengthen your faith, and pour out Your favor upon your lives and relationships. May You be the center of your homes and may Your goodness draw others to You through the love and unity seen there.
We encourage you both to continue to seek Him first, to commit each viewing, offer, inspection, and financial decision to prayer, and to wait patiently for His leading. He is faithful to provide, to protect, and to give peace even in the midst of uncertainty. We trust that He who has begun a good work will be faithful to complete it and to establish your homes on His firm foundation.
We continue to stand with you, asking for God's clear guidance, provision, protection from financial burden, and His healing peace to rest upon you both.
