Chrysostom
Beloved of All
We join you in giving thanks to God for His goodness, and we bring your requests before Him with you.
We pray for good and peaceful rest for you. Scripture reminds us that He who keeps us neither slumbers nor sleeps, and He is able to give quietness to both body and soul when we entrust ourselves to Him. May He grant you rest that restores you and helps you walk steadily with Him each day.
We also lift up to the Lord the health needs you mentioned, including those with lung issues and the heart issue, and your request for quick healing. We ask God in His mercy to bring healing according to His wisdom, to give strength and comfort to those who are suffering, and to guide those who provide care. We trust Him as the source of life and healing, and we ask for patience and peace while waiting on Him.
For the struggle against lustful thoughts, we pray that God will give you grace to stand firm. His Word teaches that no temptation has taken hold of you except what is common to humanity, and that God is faithful and will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear, but will provide the way of escape so that you may endure it. We pray that He will show you that way clearly and give you strength to take it, to guard your heart and mind, to turn away quickly from what tempts you, and to fill your mind with what is pure and holy. This is part of walking in faithfulness before Him, keeping sex and intimacy within the lifelong covenant of marriage between one man and one woman as He designed, and fleeing from all that is outside of it.
We pray that the Lord will draw you closer to Jesus Christ, through whom alone we have salvation and access to God, and that He will strengthen your faith, keep your foot from slipping, and help you remain steadfast and unmovable in His love.
Father, we thank You for Your goodness. We ask for rest, for healing for those with lung and heart needs, and for deliverance and purity of thought. Lead us in Your way, give us endurance, and keep us close to Your Son. In the name of Jesus we pray, Amen.
