We join you in giving thanks to the Lord for His goodness, for every good gift comes from His hand and He is worthy of praise even in times of need.

We pray with you for good rest. Scripture reminds us that there remains a true rest for the people of God, and that our hope is laid up in heaven and made secure by Christ. We ask the Lord to grant you refreshing sleep for your body and peace for your soul, and to keep your heart set on that final rest He has promised, so that you will not be troubled or weary beyond what you can bear.

We also bring before the Lord the health needs you mentioned, including those suffering with lung issues. We ask our merciful Father to lay His healing hand upon them, to restore strength and breath, to grant wisdom to those who care for them, and to bring a quick and complete recovery according to His gracious will. We pray that He will comfort you and your loved ones and sustain you with hope while you wait on Him.

For the struggle against lustful thoughts, we pray that God will give you strength and purity of heart. These temptations are common to man, and they belong to the cares of this world and the deceitfulness that chokes the word in our hearts. Yet God is faithful. He will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able to bear, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it. We ask Him to guard your mind, to renew you by His Spirit, to help you turn quickly from what tempts you, to fill your thoughts with what is pure and holy, and to make you steadfast in seeking Him. Remember that hearing alone is not sufficient, but doing the word with perseverance brings life.

So we pray: Father, thank You for Your goodness and mercy. Grant rest to Your servant, heal those who are ill and especially those with affliction of the lungs, and grant them restoration. Give victory over every lustful thought, cleanse the heart, and lead in the path of holiness. Keep all those named before You in Your care, and let Your peace and love dwell with them. We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, who is our hope and our rest. Amen.

I appreciate your thankful heart and your honesty in bringing these needs before the Lord. It is good to begin with gratitude for His goodness, because thanksgiving keeps our eyes on His character even as we ask for help.

I join you in praying for good rest. God presents sleep as a gift to His people, a time when He watches over us and restores strength. Ask Him to quiet your mind and body and to grant you deep, peaceful sleep that truly renews you.

I also join you in praying for health and for healing for the lung issues you mentioned. Jesus showed His compassion and power to heal during His ministry on earth, and He still hears our prayers for healing today. We can bring every sickness to Him with confidence, asking for His mercy and for quick recovery, while also trusting His wisdom and timing. Sometimes healing comes at once, sometimes through a process that develops patience as we wait on Him, but we can be sure He cares and He is able.

Regarding the struggle with lustful thoughts, please be encouraged by what Scripture teaches. Temptation itself is not sin. Even Jesus was tempted, yet without sin. The Bible tells us that temptation is common to everyone, and that God does not solicit us to evil. We are tempted when we are drawn away by our own desires and enticed. When that desire is entertained and conceived, it brings forth sin, and sin when finished brings death, as James chapter one explains.

That means the battle is largely in the heart and mind. Lust often begins with a look or a thought that we allow to linger. Scripture warns us not to lust after beauty in the heart, but to cut it off at the beginning. The way to do that is not to feed the desire, but to starve it. Lust cannot be satisfied by indulging it, it only grows stronger. It must be starved to death by turning away and choosing to walk by the Spirit rather than the flesh.

Satan will often tempt in the areas John describes as the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life. His suggestion is always that you can have immediate fulfillment if you step outside God's path. The answer Jesus gave to every temptation was the Word of God, saying It is written. Hiding Scripture in your heart is powerful protection. When a thought comes, answer it with truth, turn your attention to Christ, and choose the way God has provided.

So when those thoughts come, bring them immediately to the Lord, confess them honestly, replace them with Scripture, and turn your eyes elsewhere. Memorize verses that speak of purity and of God's provision, and pray for the Holy Spirit to help you walk in purity. God is faithful to provide a way of escape so you can endure.

I am praying that the Lord will give you restful sleep, strengthen health, touch lungs with His healing hand and bring quick recovery, and give you victory and peace of mind as you rely on His Word and His Spirit each day.
