Beloved of All
Dear Lord, thank you for your goodness. I pray for good rest, for ###’s health, for my ###, for healing for ## for their lung issues and quick healing, and against lustful thoughts

We join you in thanking our Heavenly Father for His goodness, for every good gift comes from above. We praise Him with you because His loving kindness endures forever, as Psalm 107:1 reminds us to give thanks to Yahweh, for he is good, and James 1:17 tells us every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights.

We lift up your requests together before the throne of grace. We pray for good rest for you, that the Lord would grant you peaceful sleep and restore your body and mind, for He gives sleep to his beloved as Psalm 127:2 says, and we claim the promise of Psalm 4:8 that we will lay ourselves down and sleep in peace, for you alone, Yahweh, make us dwell in safety. We also bring before the Lord the health needs you mentioned, including your loved ones and the one suffering with lung issues. We ask for the Lord's healing hand upon them, for He is the One who heals us. We pray Psalm 103:3 over them, who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases, and Jeremiah 30:17, But I will restore health to you and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh. We ask for quick healing according to His mercy and perfect will, trusting that His timing is perfect and His power is complete, and that whether healing comes instantly or through a process, He is working for good.

We also want to address with love and truth your request for help against lustful thoughts. We commend you for bringing this struggle into the light, for God desires purity of heart and mind. The Lord Jesus taught in Matthew 5:28 that everyone who gazes at a woman to lust after her has committed adultery with her already in his heart, showing how seriously God takes our thought life. We are called to flee sexual immorality as 1 Corinthians 6:18 instructs, Flee sexual immorality, and to take every thought captive to the obedience of Christ as 2 Corinthians 10:5 teaches. Lustful thoughts are not to be entertained or excused but to be rebuked and replaced. God designed sexual intimacy to be enjoyed only within the lifelong marriage covenant between one man and one woman, and any sexual thought or desire outside of that holy union is sin that needs confession and repentance. We encourage you to guard your heart by what you see and dwell on, to meditate on whatever things are true, honorable, just, pure, lovely and of good report as Philippians 4:8 says, and to ask God to create in you a clean heart as Psalm 51:10 prays. When temptation comes, turn immediately to prayer, to the Word, and flee the situation.

We also noticed you addressed your prayer to Lord but did not mention the name of Jesus Christ. We want to gently remind you that it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father. Jesus Himself said in John 14:6, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And Acts 4:12 declares there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. It is by believing in Jesus, that He died for our sins and rose again, and confessing Him as Lord, that we are saved and our prayers are heard. If you have not already, we encourage you to place your full trust in Jesus Christ alone for salvation.

We pray together now.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, thanking You for Your goodness and mercy toward us. We ask You to grant good and deep rest, to quiet the mind and restore strength. Lay Your healing hand upon each loved one mentioned, especially the one with lung issues, touch their lungs, ease their breathing, restore health and grant quick recovery according to Your perfect will. Forgive us for our sins and cleanse our hearts. We bring before You the struggle with lustful thoughts and ask You to give victory, to help us take every thought captive to Christ, to flee temptation and to walk in purity and holiness. Fill the mind with Your Word and with thoughts that honor You. Create in us clean hearts and renew steadfast spirits within us. Draw us closer to Jesus each day and help us to live in a way that pleases You. We ask all these things in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior, amen.

Thank you for sharing your heart with us. We hear thankfulness in your prayer even while you are carrying several concerns at once, for rest, for the health of people you love, especially the lung issues, and for victory over unwanted thoughts.

We are praying with you for each of these. Wanting good rest is a legitimate need, and prolonged worry for loved ones can make sleep harder. For the lung issues you mentioned, we will keep praying for healing and for strength day by day. Please continue to stay closely connected to their medical care team as well, bringing these needs to the Lord alongside the help He provides through doctors and nurses.

For the struggle with lustful thoughts, it helps to have a simple plan ready before the thoughts come. Many find it useful to notice what tends to trigger those thoughts, to turn quickly to the Lord in prayer in that moment, and to invite a trusted pastor or mature believing friend to check in with you for encouragement and accountability.

We are grateful for your thankful spirit and we are standing with you.

Father, thank You for Your goodness to us. We lift up this dear one and their loved ones to You. Grant restful sleep, watch over their health, and touch those lungs with Your healing hand according to Your will. Give quick recovery where You see fit and endurance for each day. Purify our thoughts and help us to fix our minds on what honors You. Lead us in Your way and give us peace as we trust You. In Jesus' name, amen.

We join with you in giving thanks to our good God, for His goodness endureth for ever and His mercy is from everlasting to everlasting. It is well to begin prayer with praise, and you have done well to bless His name before you make your petitions known.

We will pray with you for that good rest which the Lord giveth to His beloved. There is a sleep peculiar to the children of God, not the sleep of the slothful who sleep as do others towards the things of eternity, but the sleep of contentment and of security which God giveth to His own. So He giveth His beloved sleep, quiet, refreshing rest for the body to recruit its strength, and calm for the soul that rests in Christ. May the Lord grant you such rest, and keep you in His peace by night and by day, and make your bed in your affliction to be a place of safety under His watchful eye.

We bring before the Lord those dear to you whose names you have laid upon your heart, and especially the one who suffers with lung issues. We know that our Lord Jesus is the great Physician, and that healing and pardon flow together from His hand. The leaves of the tree of life are for the healing of the nations, and even the least thing about Christ has healing virtue in it. When the Sun of Righteousness arises with healing in His wings, forgiveness and restoration come as one. We pray that the Lord will lay His healing hand upon this afflicted one, that He will ease the breathing, strengthen the lungs, and grant quick and complete healing according to His wise and gracious will. We ask also for health for your household, that the Lord would preserve and sustain them.

And with you we pray against lustful thoughts, for this is a temptation which is very dangerous to the soul. Purity and charity are the two great garments of Christianity, and without holiness no man shall see the Lord. Our Saviour has taught us to pray, Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one. That prayer means, keep us from being led into the place of trial, and if trial must come, oh save us from the mischief of it, that we may not stain our garments nor slip nor slide. Remember then never to go willingly into temptation, for he who prays not to be led there and yet walks there himself contradicts his own prayer. Flee from every occasion and appearance of evil, keep your heart with all diligence, keep your eye from vanity and your mind stayed upon Christ, and cry daily for the Holy Spirit to keep you in purity and uprightness, for that evil one touches not the one who abides in Him.

May the Lord hear your morning prayer and preserve you, forgive your sins through the blood of Christ alone, heal your diseases, and keep you from falling, that you may walk before Him in holiness and charity all your days. We commend you to His grace who is able to keep you from falling and to present you faultless before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
