Beloved of All
Dear Lord, thank you for your goodness. I pray for good rest, for ###’s health, for my ###, for healing for ## for their lung issues and quick healing, and against lustful thoughts

We join you in thanking the Lord for His goodness, for every good gift comes from above and His mercy endures forever. We rejoice with you that you have a thankful heart, for the Psalmist says Taste and see that the Lord is good Psalm 34:8 and Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above James 1:17.

We bring before the Father your need for good rest. He is the one who gives sleep to His beloved Psalm 127:2 and who invites us to come to Him when we are weary. Jesus said Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest Matthew 11:28. We pray that He will quiet your mind and body at night and grant you deep, peaceful and restorative sleep, and that you will lie down in peace and sleep for He alone makes you dwell in safety Psalm 4:8.

We also lift up the health needs you mentioned, including your loved ones and the one suffering with lung issues. We know the Lord is our healer and that He has compassion on our infirmities. He says I am the Lord who heals you Exodus 15:26 and I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds Jeremiah 30:17. We pray in faith that He will touch the lungs that are struggling, ease every breath, bring quick and complete healing according to His will, and strengthen each one you love. We remember His promise that He forgives all our iniquities and heals all our diseases Psalm 103:3.

We want to gently and lovingly address your struggle against lustful thoughts, for this is a battle many face and God calls us to purity of heart and mind. Jesus taught that Everyone who gazes at a woman to lust after her has committed adultery with her already in his heart Matthew 5:28. We are called to flee sexual immorality, for every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body 1 Corinthians 6:18. We encourage you to bring every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ 2 Corinthians 10:5 and to fix your mind on whatever is true, honorable, just, pure, lovely and of good report Philippians 4:8. When such thoughts come, turn quickly to prayer, to the Word, and away from temptation, making a covenant with your eyes as Job did Job 31:1. If you are unmarried, we encourage you to pursue courtship with the goal of godly marriage between a man and a woman as God designed, and to keep yourself pure until then, for sexuality is a gift reserved for marriage. If such thoughts have given way to sin, confess it openly to God, for If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness 1 John 1:9.

We noticed your prayer was addressed to the Lord, and we want to lovingly remind you that it is only through Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father. Jesus said I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6 and There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. It is by believing in Jesus, that He died for our sins and rose again, and confessing Him as Lord, that we are saved Romans 10:9. We encourage you to always pray in the name of Jesus, for He is our mediator and our hope.

We pray together now. Father, we thank You for Your goodness and mercy toward us. We ask in the name of Jesus that You grant our dear one restful sleep and renewed strength, that You lay Your healing hand upon each loved one mentioned and especially upon the lungs that are afflicted, that You bring quick healing and easy breathing. Cleanse our hearts and minds, Lord, and give power to overcome lustful thoughts, to walk in purity and holiness before You. Fill us with Your Spirit so that we may honor You in thought, word and deed. Help us to keep our eyes and hearts fixed on Jesus. We ask all this in the precious name of Jesus, our Savior and Lord. Amen.

We encourage you to continue to seek Him daily in prayer and in the Word, to cast all your cares on Him because He cares for you 1 Peter 5:7, and to trust that He who began a good work in you will complete it Philippians 1:6.

Thank you for trusting us with what is on your heart. You are carrying several concerns at once and we want to stand with you in each one.

We join you in thanking God for His goodness, even on tired days. We are praying for deep, restorative rest for you, for strength for your loved ones, and especially for the one struggling with lung issues. We ask God to bring healing in His mercy and to give wisdom and clarity to those caring for them. If they have not yet been able to see a doctor for those breathing problems, we gently encourage making sure they get medical care soon, while we keep praying.

We also hear your honesty about fighting lustful thoughts. That battle can feel discouraging, but bringing it into the light before God is a good and brave step. One thing that helps many believers is to have a simple plan for the moment a thought comes, to turn away quickly, pray briefly in Jesus' name, and turn your attention elsewhere, and to invite a trusted pastor or mature Christian friend to check in with you for encouragement and accountability.

Father, we thank You for Your goodness to our friend and their loved ones. We ask You to grant restful sleep, to touch and heal lungs and bodies according to Your will, to guard their mind and give strength to walk in purity, and to draw them close to You each day. In Jesus' name, amen.

Your thanksgiving for the goodness of the Lord is comely and right, and we join with you in it, for every good gift cometh from His hand.

We have taken your requests before the throne of grace. You ask for good rest, and we point you to the rest which our Lord Jesus gives. It is a present rest, rest now, not rest after death, not rest after a time of probation, but rest given when we come to Jesus, given there and then, and it is perfect rest too. Hear His own word, Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me, and ye shall find rest unto your souls. There is a rest given and a rest found. The first is given when by faith you come to Christ and trust Him. The second is found as you learn of Him and take His yoke upon you voluntarily. True rest to the child of God is rest on the wing, rest in motion, rest in service, not rest with the yoke off, but with the yoke on. Let but your mind be like the mind of Christ, and you shall find a deep rest, a growing rest, an abiding rest. Trust and you shall rest. We pray that the Lord will grant you such rest, both in sleep and in soul, as you cast your cares upon Him who careth for you.

For those dear to you and for the one who suffers with lung issues, we bring earnest prayer for healing. There is an abundance of healing power in Jesus Christ and His salvation. Not only is His fruit sweet and nourishing, but the leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations, and the least thing about Christ is healing. Calvary is the place for the healing balm. The Sun of Righteousness has risen with healing in His wings, and pardon and healing are one in His hand. When Jesus healed the sick of the palsy He said, Son, be of good cheer, thy sins are forgiven thee. We pray that the Lord will lay His healing hand upon these lungs, that He will restore and strengthen, and grant quick healing according to His wise and merciful will. We pray also for the general health of those you love, that the Lord would preserve them and keep them in His care.

And concerning lustful thoughts, you do well to watch and pray against them. The corruption that is in the world through lust is a malaria from which only God can preserve us, but He has promised that the true believer shall be kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation. Flee these thoughts, and look to Christ for all things. Seek a mind like His, for in learning of Him there is purity and rest. Bring these temptations beneath the healing touch of Him who can say, Be thou clean, and ask Him to cleanse the heart and renew the spirit, that you may walk in holiness before Him.

May the Lord hear your prayer, forgive your sins for Christ's sake, heal your infirmities, and give you rest. May He keep you from evil and make you to grow in grace, till you enter at last into that perfect rest which remaineth for the people of God, where they are wholly at rest and sin and sorrow are no more. We commend you to His pardoning and healing hand, and pray that you may know more and more the sweetness of trusting Him alone for salvation.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.
