Prayer request

We hear your cry for help, and our hearts are heavy with the weight of your need. The Lord sees your struggle and knows the depth of your hunger, both physical and spiritual. We stand with you in this time of lack, trusting that our Heavenly Father, who feeds the birds of the air and clothes the lilies of the field, will not abandon you in your time of need.

Jesus taught us in Matthew 6:31-33, "Therefore don’t be anxious, saying, ‘What will we eat?’, ‘What will we drink?’ or, ‘With what will we be clothed?’ For the Gentiles seek after all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well." We take comfort in these words, knowing that God’s provision is not just a promise but a reality for those who seek Him first.

We also remember the words of our Lord in John 6:35, where He declares, "I am the bread of life. He who comes to me will not be hungry, and he who believes in me will never be thirsty." While we pray for your physical needs to be met, we also pray that you would feast on the spiritual nourishment that only Christ can provide. He is the true source of life, and in Him, you will find satisfaction that no earthly food can offer.

Let us come before the throne of grace together, lifting your need to the One who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think.

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up our brothers and sisters who are in need of food. Lord, You are the Provider, the One who multiplied the loaves and fishes to feed the multitudes. We ask that You would open the floodgates of heaven and pour out Your provision upon them. Meet their physical needs, Lord, and let them see Your hand at work in their lives. We pray that You would lead them to sources of help, whether through the kindness of others, the generosity of Your people, or the miraculous provision that only You can provide.

Father, we also pray for their spiritual hunger. May they come to know Jesus as the Bread of Life, the One who satisfies the deepest longings of their souls. Let them taste and see that You are good, and may their trust in You grow stronger as they witness Your faithfulness. Protect them from despair and doubt, and fill them with hope as they wait on You.

Lord, we rebuke the spirit of lack and poverty in the name of Jesus. We declare that Your Word says in Philippians 4:19, "My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus." We stand on this promise, believing that You will not leave them in want. Surround them with Your love, peace, and provision, and let them experience Your goodness in tangible ways.

We also pray for those who may have the means to help. Stir their hearts, Lord, to be Your hands and feet in this situation. Let them be moved with compassion to share what they have, so that no one in Your family goes without. May Your love be evident through the generosity of Your people.

In all things, may Your name be glorified, and may Your children be drawn closer to You. We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, our Savior and Provider. Amen.

We encourage you to reach out to local churches, food banks, or community organizations that may be able to assist you during this time. The body of Christ is called to bear one another’s burdens, and we believe that God will use His people to meet your need. Hold fast to your faith, for the Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). You are not forgotten, and we stand with you in prayer, believing that God will make a way where there seems to be no way.

Thank you for reaching out so simply and honestly. Needing food for your family is a heavy burden to carry, and we are grateful you let us pray with you in it.

We want you to know we are praying for you, and you do not have to carry this alone. One step that often helps right away is to connect with help close to home. If you have a church nearby, consider calling the church office this week and asking if they have a food pantry or know of one in the area. Many congregations keep food on hand or can connect you with a local food bank or social worker who can help with groceries and other basic needs. A trusted neighbor, pastor, or community service office can also point you toward the closest place to get food today.

You matter to God, and He sees your need. We are asking Him to make a way for provision and to surround you with caring people as you take that next step.

Father, we lift up our friends to You right now. You know their need for food and the worry that comes with it. Please provide for their daily needs, guide them to the right help nearby, and give them peace and strength for each day. Show Your care to them in practical ways. In Jesus' name, amen.

Your cry for bread has been heard and we have carried it before the throne of grace, beseeching the Lord who daily loadeth us with benefits to remember you in this need.

We know what it is to be hunger bitten, and we know that the Lord is not deaf to the cry of the poor. His promise stands, thy bread shall be given thee and thy water shall be sure. He who fed Israel with manna in the wilderness and who has often made the poor man's bread to come as surely as if rocks had crumbled into food, is able to spread a table for you even now. We have prayed that He would open His hand and supply your temporal want according to His abundant mercy, and move the hearts of those near you to be His instruments of provision.

Yet we would also remind you, as we pray, that man does not live by bread alone. There is a deeper hunger of the soul which no earthly bread can satisfy. Our Lord Jesus Christ has said, I am the bread of life, he that cometh to me shall never hunger and he that believeth on me shall never thirst. Many are hunger bitten in the midst of plenty because they snatch at shadows and try to feed themselves with that which is not bread. The only way to meet the soul's hunger is to eat this Bread which came down from heaven.

So we have prayed not only for bread for the body, but for Christ for the soul. May the Lord in His goodness grant you daily bread for your need, and may He give you evermore this true Bread, that you may find in Him life and sustenance both now and forever. Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, trusting that your heavenly Father knoweth what things ye have need of.

We will continue to bear you up before the Lord, asking Him to provide for you day by day and to fill you with the riches that are in Christ Jesus.

Blessed be the Lord, who daily loadeth us with benefits, the God of our salvation.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your request for food has been heard and we are praying for you before the Lord.

Jesus Himself taught us to bring this very need to the Father, when He told us to pray, Give us this day our daily bread. He did not teach us to pray for riches or for delicate living, but for bread only, and for bread for one day, because He knows our nature and that we require necessary food. He condescends to our weakness and invites us to ask Him for what we need each day.

We also remember that man shall not live by bread alone, but God is able even by a word to nourish the hungry. He is the One who supplies seed to the sower and ministers bread for food, and He is able to provide what is sufficient for you and multiply grace to sustain you.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son, we lift up this need to You. You see hunger and You know what is necessary for life. We ask You to provide daily bread for this dear one and their household, to open doors for provision, and to give strength and peace while they wait on You. Teach them to trust You day by day and to seek first Your kingdom, knowing that You care for those who call upon You. Sustain them by Your hand and let them know Your nearness and Your faithful provision. Amen.

We encourage you to keep trusting the Lord each day, to bring this need to Him continually, and also to make your need known to a faithful local church near you so that believers nearby can help bear this burden with you. The Lord hears those who call on Him through Jesus Christ, and He does not forget those who look to Him for their daily bread.

Your need for food has been heard and we are praying for you. God sees this need and He cares about it. Hunger is not a small thing in His sight, and He invites you to bring even this daily, practical need to Him.

From the beginning Scripture shows God as the provider of food. At first He gave the plants and grains and fruit for nourishment, and after the flood He also gave meat for food, while teaching that life is sacred and the blood not to be eaten. When He told Noah to build the ark, He also told him to gather and store food, enough for his family and for all the living creatures with him for more than a year. That shows His care is both miraculous and practical. He provides, and He also calls His people to prepare and to act with foresight.

The Bible also shows that God understands what hunger does to a person. He made provision in His law so that a hungry person passing through a field could pick what was needed to satisfy hunger, even though harvesting the field was not allowed. When Jesus walked with His disciples and they were hungry on the Sabbath, they picked heads of grain and rubbed them in their hands to eat. He defended them, showing that human need was not meant to be crushed by religious rules, and that the Sabbath was made for the benefit of people. Your hunger matters to God, and it is right for you to ask Him for daily bread and to seek help to meet that need without shame.

Scripture also speaks of diligence alongside trust. One proverb speaks of watching over your flock carefully so that you will have milk and food for your household. Another points to the ant, which stores its food in summer because it somehow knows a season is coming when it cannot gather. And there is the prayer, give me neither poverty nor riches, but feed me with the food that is right for me, so that I will not be full and forget the Lord, nor be in such want that I am tempted to do wrong. It is a prayer for enough, for what is sufficient for today, and God hears that kind of honest prayer.

We also remember how God can turn great scarcity into abundance. In Samaria there was a terrible famine where food could not be found at any price, and people were in great distress. Yet God in one day brought provision so that flour and food were plentiful again at the gates of the city, more than the people could use. What was left on tables when enemies fled became provision for the hungry. He is still able to open doors, to move the hearts of people, and to provide in ways we do not expect.

Jesus said, blessed are you who hunger now, for you shall be filled, and blessed are you who weep now, for you shall laugh. He was speaking of both present need and future hope. Just as the body needs food every day and we are faithful to feed it, the spirit also needs to be fed. That deeper hunger is a hunger for righteousness, which only Christ can satisfy. God has made one provision for our sin through the blood of His Son Jesus, and when we come to Him we find forgiveness and life. He who feeds the body also wants to fill the heart.

So we pray for you now. Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we lift up this need for food before You. You know the empty cupboards and the worry. We ask You to provide daily bread, to open practical ways for food to come, to give wisdom and strength for each step, and to surround this family with help and kindness. Guard them from despair, keep them from temptation, and give them enough for today. And fill the deeper hunger of the heart with Your presence and peace through Jesus, in whom we have forgiveness and hope. Amen.

If you are able, please let faithful believers near you know of your need so they can help bear this burden with you, and keep seeking the Lord each day for His provision.
