Prayer request

Your thankfulness for God's goodness is the right place to begin, and it is good that you have brought these needs before Him.

You asked for good rest. Scripture speaks of a rest that remains for the people of God, and it is entered by faith, not by our own striving or effort. We cannot earn rest by trying harder or by relying on our own strength and skill. True rest comes when we trust in Jesus and in His finished work on the cross, believing that He has done what we could not do for ourselves. That rest is still open to us today. It is simply resting on Him, acknowledging His power and His glory, and leaning fully on Him rather than waiting until all other options are exhausted. As you bring your weariness to Him, ask Him to help you cease from your own works and to enter into the quiet confidence that comes from trusting Him completely. He invites you to rest in Him.

You also mentioned health needs and healing for others you love. It is natural to worry when those we care for are unwell, and we do not always understand why God allows what He allows. His thoughts are not our thoughts and His ways are not our ways. As the heavens are higher than the earth, so His understanding is far above ours. He knows the end from the beginning and does what is right. What we can hold to is this, that His thoughts toward His people are thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give a hopeful future. He is merciful and He pardons abundantly when we return to Him. Even when healing does not come as quickly as we desire, we can trust that His heart toward you is good and that He is working for your peace.

You also asked for help against lustful thoughts. God sees and knows the heart. His Word discerns the thoughts and intentions within us, not to condemn us without hope, but to lead us back to Him. When those thoughts arise, turn to the Lord honestly, confess them, and ask for His mercy and cleansing. He promises to forgive and to give strength to walk in purity. Fill your mind with what is true and holy, keep close to Scripture, and flee from whatever feeds those temptations. God has made us to live in holiness, and He will help you to honor Him with your mind and body as you rely on Christ alone for salvation and strength.

Let us pray together. Father, thank You for Your goodness and mercy. Thank You for the rest You have provided through Jesus Christ. Help this dear one to enter into that rest by faith and to know Your peace in heart and mind and body. Lay Your healing hand upon those who are unwell and grant health according to Your perfect will. Give restful sleep and renewed strength. And grant victory over lustful thoughts, cleanse the heart, and guide thoughts into obedience to Christ. Teach us to rest on You in all things and to trust Your higher thoughts and ways. In the name of Jesus we pray, amen.
