Am homeless prayer to get a place to get a source of income because jobs refuse to hire me and I was wrongfully let go. I was threatened by a roommate I used to live with. Then I’m being attacked by actual grown men as a woman because I did bible study in public please pray for me.

We hear your cry for help, and our hearts ache with yours in this season of deep trial. You are facing homelessness, financial despair, job rejection, threats, and even physical attacks, all while trying to live out your faith in a world that often opposes God’s truth. We stand with you in prayer, declaring that the Lord sees your suffering and will not abandon you. The psalmist writes, "The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit" (Psalm 34:18 WEB). You are not forgotten.

First, we must address the spiritual attacks you’re enduring. The enemy seeks to silence the testimony of believers, especially when they boldly proclaim God’s Word. But Jesus said, "Blessed are you when people reproach you, persecute you, and say all kinds of evil against you falsely, for my sake. Rejoice, and be exceedingly glad, for great is your reward in heaven" (Matthew 5:11-12 WEB). Your courage in sharing Scripture publicly is a threat to darkness, and we rebuke every spirit of intimidation, violence, and fear in Jesus’ name. We pray for divine protection over you, "No weapon that is formed against you will prevail; and you will condemn every tongue that accuses you" (Isaiah 54:17 WEB). May the Lord dispatch His angels to encamp around you (Psalm 34:7) and frustrate the plans of those who seek to harm you.

Regarding your housing and financial struggles, we lift this burden to the Lord, who promises to be a "father of the fatherless and a defender of widows" (Psalm 68:5 WEB). The fact that jobs refuse to hire you and you were wrongfully terminated is unjust, but God is a God of justice. We pray that He would open doors no man can shut (Revelation 3:8) and provide for your needs in ways only He can. "My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus" (Philippians 4:19 WEB). Ask the Lord to lead you to a safe place to stay, whether through a church, a Christian ministry, or a kind believer who can offer shelter. Do not grow weary in seeking help, for "those who seek the Lord shall not lack any good thing" (Psalm 34:10 WEB).

We also encourage you to seek out local churches or Christian organizations that assist with housing and job placement. Many have ministries specifically for those in crisis, and the body of Christ is called to bear one another’s burdens (Galatians 6:2). If you have not already, reach out to pastors or believers in your area who may have resources or connections to help. The Lord often works through His people to provide for His children.

Now, we must address a matter of spiritual urgency. You did not mention Jesus Christ in your request, and we want to gently remind you that it is only through Him that we have access to the Father. "Jesus said to him, ‘I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me’" (John 14:6 WEB). If you have not placed your faith in Jesus as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so today. Confess your sins, repent, and believe in His death and resurrection for your salvation. "For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life" (John 3:16 WEB). This is the foundation of all hope, protection, and provision.

Let us pray for you now:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts for our sister in Christ. Lord, You see her every need, her lack of shelter, her financial struggles, the threats against her, and the attacks she endures for Your name’s sake. We ask that You would be her refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). Surround her with Your angels, Lord, and shield her from all harm. Frustrate the plans of those who seek to intimidate or hurt her, and let Your light expose their darkness.

Father, we pray for provision. Open doors for employment that no man can shut. Lead her to a safe place to stay, whether through the kindness of Your people or a miracle only You can provide. Give her favor with those who can help, and let her not grow weary in seeking Your face. You are Jehovah-Jireh, the God who provides, and we trust You to meet her every need.

Lord, we also pray for her faith to remain steadfast. Strengthen her when she is weary, encourage her when she is discouraged, and remind her that she is not alone. Let her find comfort in Your Word and in the fellowship of believers. If there is any unforgiveness or bitterness in her heart, we ask that You would uproot it and fill her with Your peace.

Above all, Father, we pray that she would draw near to You. If she has not yet surrendered her life to Jesus, we ask that You would draw her to Yourself. Let her know the power of Your love and the security of Your salvation. May she find her identity in Christ, knowing that she is fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14) and deeply loved by You.

We declare that this season of lack and trial will not last forever. You are making a way where there seems to be no way, and we trust You to turn her mourning into dancing (Psalm 30:11). In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.

Hold fast to God’s promises, dear sister. The enemy may rage, but he is already defeated. Keep proclaiming the truth, keep seeking the Lord, and keep trusting in His faithfulness. You are not abandoned, you are being refined for a greater purpose. "And we know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose" (Romans 8:28 WEB). Stand firm. We are praying for you.

Thank you for letting us join you in prayer. We are so sorry that you are carrying all of this right now, losing your housing, your income, and your sense of safety all at once. It is completely understandable that you feel overwhelmed and afraid. These are not small trials, and you are not weak for hurting under their weight.

We especially hear how vulnerable you are: the threat from your former roommate and the attacks you endured simply for studying Scripture in public are wrong and deeply unjust. You deserve to be safe, and what happened to you is not your fault. If you haven’t already, please consider reaching out to a local domestic violence resource center or a shelter that serves women. They can help you find a secure place to stay, and many also connect you to job training, legal aid, and counseling, practical, immediate, without any cost. You do not have to figure this all out alone.

It also sounds like the repeated job rejections have worn you down. While that is incredibly discouraging, it does not define your worth or God’s care for you. Sometimes the door we think should open stays shut for a season, and that can feel like a personal failure, but it isn’t. We are praying for a crack of opportunity to appear, a person who sees your value, a source of steady income that brings order back into your life.

Together we lift you to our Lord:

Father, in Jesus’ name we ask for Your protection over this woman right now. Shelter her; provide a safe roof and a path to steady income. Foil every plan of those who would harm her, and surround her with people who will help, not threaten. Give her wisdom for each next step, and let her feel Your nearness even in this valley. Amen.

Your trial is sharp, but it is not without purpose. The enmity of the world often drives the Christian nearer to his God, how many prayers have been offered up as the result of persecution that would never have been offered else, heaven alone can tell. The wave that seemed ready to overwhelm the church in Egypt only lifted her forward. So it is with the soul that clings to Christ, persecution speeds her course toward the haven.

That crust which is your own is more precious than all the granaries of Egypt if they are not your own, and the promise of a sheltering wing is yours personally if you are resting in Jesus. Do not think you have been cast off because you have no home, no livelihood, no human advocate. The Lord permits these emptyings that you may learn how fully He Himself is the portion of His people. He was homeless; He was lied about; He was threatened. And He is with you now.

You have felt the sharp tongues of grown men because you opened the Word in public. Let that be a badge of honor. Our life ought to be, and if God’s grace is much in it, it will be, a new translation of the Bible. The worldling’s Bible is the Christian. When they revile you for that open Book, they are reading your living epistle. Bear it bravely. Study Christ so as to be able to tell others of Him, and be not slow to speak. He is the Standard-Bearer among ten thousand, and if you march under His banner, you must expect the skirmishes of the enemy. Persecution helps to keep up the separation between the church and the world.

Now, cast yourself upon the Lord for daily bread and a place to lay your head. Do thrice over what you can, and then trust Him for what you cannot. Cry to Him for a just opening in employment, for He sees the wrong that was done to you. But far above these outward needs, feed your soul on the Book. Do you treat this Book as a fetish, reverencing words you do not read? No, read it. Read the Bible as a man reads his relation’s will, to find what legacy there is in it for himself. Do with the Bible as the sick man does with the doctor’s prescription, following it by personally doing what it bids you. Pray that God’s threats may drive you out of sin and drive you to seek pardon in Christ, then the promises become your own inheritance.

The Words of God have been tested by blasphemy, by ridicule, by persecution, and they stand pure, like silver tried in a furnace. Ask God not to let your Bible be another man’s Bible, but your own Bible, God’s own mouth speaking to your soul of the things which make for your peace. Go in peace, woman of a troubled heart. Thy faith, that simple trust which brought thee here, hath saved thee. Go in peace.

Bless me to know You, so that I can trust You with all my heart, acknowledge You in all my ways, and lean not to my own understanding. God heal me in every area of my life. Deliver and cleanse me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. What is this tumult of troubles you pour out? A homeless woman, wrongfully cast out from labor, threatened by a former companion, and struck by grown men because you dared to study the Scriptures in the open air. You cry out for prayer, and rightly so, for the snares are many and the flesh is weak. But do you not see, beloved, that you are standing in the arena of Christ? The devil has aimed his darts at you precisely because you were not idle, because you opened the holy Gospel in public. He rages, for the light scatters his darkness. Rejoice, therefore, that you were counted worthy to suffer dishonor for the Name. Do you not hear the Apostle say, "All who desire to live godly in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution"? You have been granted a small share in the sufferings of the martyrs. Let not your heart be troubled.

You say you have no home. But what is your true home? Is it not the heavenly Jerusalem, whose builder and maker is God? Look not at the walls of stone you lack, but at the mansions prepared for you. The sparrow finds a nest, and the fox a hole, and shall the servant of the Lord be left forsaken? By no means. For when you were thrust out by your roommate, and found refuge nowhere, the Lord Himself was preparing a hidden shelter, even as He did for Elijah by the brook Cherith. He commands the ravens, and they feed the prophet. He commands a widow, and she sustains him. So too for you, He is commanding some vessel of mercy, some unknown brother or sister, to open a door. Do not measure His care by the silence of the moment. The seed you sowed in that public Bible study will spring up; someone heard, someone saw your meekness under blows, and their heart was pricked.

Concerning your job and income, you say that employers refuse to hire you because you were wrongfully let go. Oh, the malice of the evil one, who not only steals your bread but slanders your name to bar every gate! But tell me, who opens and shuts doors of provision? Is it the hiring manager, or is it the Lord? You have a character witness in heaven, and the Judge of all the earth will do right. Meanwhile, cling to what is within your power. Let your hands be busy with any honest work, however lowly. Did not the great Apostle Paul, when pressed by necessity, labor with his own hands as a tentmaker, and did this bring him shame? Far from it; it adorned the Gospel. Cast your care upon God, for He cares for you. The poverty of Lazarus was heaven's reward, while the rich man tormented in the flame had received his good things. Your need is not a sign of God's neglect but a call to trust Him in the furnace.

Yet I must also stir you to a holy fear. Examine yourself, lest any root of bitterness or secret sin have opened this floodgate of trials. Not that I accuse you, God forbid! But in such a storm, every soul must cry out, "Search me, O God, and know my heart." If you find anything, let tears wash it away. If not, then your suffering is a pure offering, gold refined by fire, and the recompense shall be great. Remember Job: he lost children, goods, health, and the misguided counsel of friends, yet he held fast his integrity, and the latter end of the Lord was double blessing.

Therefore, do not look at the waves that buffet you, like Peter, but fix your gaze on the Master who walks upon them. Your prayer request reaches the ears of the One who counts the hairs of your head. I and the whole church will groan and plead with you. But I charge you, in the very midst of your misery, lift up a psalm. In the street, in the shelter, in the darkness, let praise be on your lips. That will sting the demons more than any blow they gave you. The Lord is near to the brokenhearted. He will make a way where there is no way, provide a roof when there is no earthly helper, and open a fountain of income when every human channel is dammed. Stand still and see the salvation of God. You are not alone; the whole army of martyrs, confessors, and saints who wandered in deserts and caves for the faith stand with you, and the Lord is at your right hand. Take courage, then; the night is far spent, and the day of your deliverance is at hand.

It takes real courage to open a Bible in public and share the truth, and the hostility you faced is its own kind of confirmation that you belong to Christ. He told us plainly that if the world hates us, it is because it hated Him first. That doesn’t make the bruises or the fear any less painful, but it does place your suffering in the company of faithful saints across every century. History shows that persecution never destroys the genuine church; it separates the wheat from the chaff and causes true faith to put down deeper roots. Your boldness in studying Scripture where others could hear is not wasted. God uses such moments in ways we may never fully see, just as the scattering of the early believers spread the gospel far and wide.

The same Lord who sees your public witness also knows your need for a roof and steady work. He is not distant from the wrong you’ve suffered, nor the threats from a former roommate, nor the closed doors of employment. Bring that exhaustion and anxiety into your prayers without filtering a word. The effectual, fervent prayer of a righteous person, and you are righteous in Christ, accomplishes much. We are joining you in that right now, asking for His tangible provision: a safe place to live, a just opportunity for income, and a shield of protection over you.

When your mind begins to spiral toward hopelessness, remember that you are not passive in this fight. We are commanded to take every thought captive to the obedience of Christ. Refuse to let the threats or the job rejections have the final word. Meditate on what God has actually promised, not on the grim whispers of the moment. You are a pilgrim here, a stranger in a world that rebels against its Maker. The mistreatment you are enduring is the sharp edge of that collision, but your citizenship is held in heaven. Jesus Himself was dead and is alive forevermore, He walks with you through every valley.

So stand firm. Keep trusting the Scriptures as the anchor for your soul. The promise that all who desire to live godly in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution is hard to embrace, but it means you are in step with your Lord. He will supply what is lacking. His faithfulness stretches over every empty cupboard, every unjust accusation, and every lonely night. You are not forgotten.
