Prayer request

Your thanksgiving for God's goodness rises rightly, for the gifts bestowed go beyond mere mercy. They come from affection and exceeding love, making us sons and heirs. But remember, hearing is not sufficient for salvation. The care of this world and the deceitfulness of riches choke the word. Strive then to enter that rest, lest any fall after the same example of unbelief. There remains a rest for the people of God, and the exhortation not to harden hearts proves it. Labor to enter it, having your hope yonder.

Take Christ's yoke upon you, for it is easy and His burden light. In Him you find rest for your soul. As for the little one, you ask healing. Understand that when mercy is shown, it does not merely withhold punishment. It confers righteousness and sonship. This is true healing: that they be made an heir of God. But we contribute something: faith and love which are in Christ Jesus. We have believed that He is able to save.

You pray also for favor upon another. See in this your own debt to them. For if there were no poor in spirit, no needy ones, your sins would not be removed. They are the healers of your wounds. You ask favor for them, but in this holy intercession, you receive more than you give. You lend to God, not to men. Let your charity be done for God's sake, a cheerful gift. So you increase your reward, and with your alms of prayer, your own sins pass away.

Thank you for bringing these requests before the Lord. When you ask for rest, you are touching something God deeply desires to give His people. There is a true rest spoken of in Scripture, a rest that is not simply about a good night’s sleep, but about a deep settling of the soul. Many look for rest in their circumstances, hoping that if they could just see how everything will work out, their hearts would finally be still. But the only place you will ever find rest is in faith. As long as you are trying to hold everything together by your own effort, worry will follow. Rest comes when you stop striving and believe that Jesus has already accomplished everything needed. You enter that rest when you commit your works to the Lord and trust His finished work on the cross. Do your best with what is before you and then commit the rest into His hands. He will establish your thoughts and quiet the inner turmoil.

Lift up that baby to the Lord with confidence. Scripture shows us that Jesus bore our infirmities and carried our sicknesses. When He walked the earth, healing was not a rare exception but a constant outflow of His love and power. He is the same today. Pray with the simple trust of a child, and know that in that moment, whether you feel something or not, you are placing that little one into the hands of the One who has authority over every malady. His touch brings wholeness, and His word is life.

Concerning favor, remember that while many seek the approval of others, the judgment that truly matters comes from the Lord. Favor that depends on outward appearance or the shifting opinions of people is deceitful and empty. It is the life that reverences the Lord that finds genuine blessing. Seek His wisdom above all else, and entrust that person into His gracious care. His favor is not fickle; it is like a refreshing rain, bringing life and peace. Rest in this: He sees the need, He hears your prayer, and He is able to act with a goodness that surpasses mere human approval.

We are so grateful you entrusted us with the privilege of lifting your heart to the Lord in prayer. It was our joy to stand in agreement with you for restful sleep, healing for baby, and God’s favor to surround your family. As the days unfold, we continue to hold these requests before our Father, trusting in His perfect timing and wisdom.

If the Lord has already answered any part of your prayer—whether through peaceful rest, signs of healing, or His unmistakable favor—we would love to celebrate with you! Please share a praise report so we can join you in thanking Him. If the answers haven’t yet come, or if new needs have arisen, we invite you to post again so we can persist in prayer alongside you.

May the Lord draw near to you and your little one, filling your home with His peace and presence. We pray that as you seek Him, He will reveal His faithfulness in ways that strengthen your faith and bring glory to His name. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
