We hear your cry for help and stand with you in prayer, lifting every burden to the throne of grace. First, we want to acknowledge your honesty and courage in confessing the struggle with impure thoughts and the temptation that has lingered from past exposure to sinful content. The Word of God is clear: "But each one is tempted when he is drawn away by his own lusts and enticed. Then the lust, when it has conceived, bears sin; and the sin, when it is full grown, produces death" (James 1:14-15 WEB). What you watched was indeed wicked, a perversion of God’s design for marriage and family, which is sacred and pure. The enemy seeks to defile the mind, but Christ has already overcome him. We rebuke every unclean thought and image in Jesus’ name, declaring that your mind is being renewed by the power of the Holy Spirit. You are not alone in this battle, and you do not have to fight it in your own strength.

We also address the root of this struggle: the curiosity that led you to seek out such content. The Bible warns, "Bad company corrupts good character" (1 Corinthians 15:33 WEB), and in this digital age, "company" includes what we watch, read, and entertain. You have already taken the first step toward freedom by turning away from it since January 2025, and we praise God for that victory. But we must go further. "Flee sexual immorality! ‘Every sin that a man does is outside the body,’ but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body" (1 Corinthians 6:18 WEB). This includes not only physical acts but also the mental and visual indulgence of sin. We urge you to take every thought captive to the obedience of Christ (2 Corinthians 10:5) and to fill your mind with what is true, noble, right, pure, lovely, and admirable (Philippians 4:8). Replace those images with Scripture, worship, and godly fellowship. The morning struggles you describe are not uncommon, the enemy often attacks when we are most vulnerable, but we declare that the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).

You mentioned feeling unwell and sleeping more, which may be symptoms of spiritual oppression or even depression. We pray for your physical and emotional healing, asking the Lord to restore your strength and joy. "The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit" (Psalm 34:18 WEB). Do not despise the discipline of the Lord, for He disciplines those He loves (Hebrews 12:6). This season is not for your destruction but for your refinement. We also encourage you to seek godly counsel if possible, someone you can trust to pray with you and hold you accountable. Confess your struggles to a mature believer (James 5:16), for there is power in agreement and accountability.

Your desire for a work-from-home job is understandable, and we pray that the Lord opens doors of provision for you. "And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus" (Philippians 4:19 WEB). Trust Him to provide in ways you cannot yet see. Meanwhile, we rebuke the spirit of poverty and lack in your life, declaring that you are a child of the King, and He owns the cattle on a thousand hills (Psalm 50:10). You are not forgotten, and your needs matter to Him. We also pray for wisdom in stewarding any income or resources you receive, that you would honor God with them.

For your family, we lift up your mother and siblings, praying for their salvation and deliverance. Your mother’s struggle with smoking weed is a bondage, but Jesus came to set the captives free (Luke 4:18). We rebuke the spirit of addiction in her life and declare that she will find her satisfaction in Christ alone. Pray for her daily, and trust that the Lord is working even when you cannot see it. For your siblings, we ask that God would draw them close to Himself and protect their hearts and minds from the snares of the enemy.

You also mentioned an eating disorder and feelings of anxiety when food is scarce. We pray for healing in your relationship with food and for the Lord to provide abundantly for your household. "Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you" (1 Peter 5:7 WEB). It is not ungrateful to ask God for your needs, He invites you to come boldly to His throne of grace (Hebrews 4:16). We also pray for the provision of clean water and a safe, permanent home where your family can thrive. The Lord is your Shepherd, and He will lead you to green pastures and quiet waters (Psalm 23:2).

Your love for drawing is a gift from God, and we pray that He would open doors for you to use it for His glory. The offer you received to create art for someone’s music career could have been a divine opportunity, but we understand your desire to trust God alone. Seek His wisdom in all things, and remember that "unless the Lord builds the house, the builders labor in vain" (Psalm 127:1 WEB). If it is His will, He will make a way for you to use your talents without compromise.

Finally, we want to address the foundation of your faith. You have not explicitly mentioned the name of Jesus in your request, but we know that salvation is found in no one else (Acts 4:12). If you have not already, we urge you to confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead (Romans 10:9). This is the only way to be saved and to have a personal relationship with God. Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life (John 14:6), and it is through His name alone that we have access to the Father. If you have already made this confession, we encourage you to deepen your relationship with Him through prayer, reading the Word, and fellowship with other believers.

Let us pray for you now:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up our brother/sister who has poured out their heart to You. Lord, we thank You for their honesty and their desire to walk in purity and holiness. We rebuke every unclean thought, image, and temptation that has plagued their mind, and we declare that their mind is being renewed by the power of Your Holy Spirit. Father, fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding, especially in the mornings when the enemy attacks. Strengthen them to take every thought captive to the obedience of Christ and to flee from sexual immorality in all its forms.

Lord, we ask for Your provision in their life. Open doors for a work-from-home job that honors You, and meet every need according to Your riches in glory. Provide clean water, a safe and permanent home, and all the resources their family needs to thrive. Heal their relationship with food, and remove any spirit of anxiety or depression that has taken hold. We declare that they are a child of the King, and no weapon formed against them will prosper (Isaiah 54:17).

For their family, we pray for salvation and deliverance. Break the chains of addiction in their mother’s life, and draw her to You. Protect their siblings and lead them into a deep relationship with You. Lord, we also pray for their physical needs, clean water, a safe home, and an end to their struggles with lack. Provide for them abundantly, and let them see Your hand at work in their lives.

Father, we ask that You would use their gift of drawing for Your glory. Open doors for them to use their talents in ways that honor You, and give them wisdom to discern Your will in every opportunity. Teach them to trust in You alone, and let them experience Your faithfulness in every season of life.

Finally, Lord, we pray that they would grow closer to You each day. Teach them to pray, to study Your Word, and to walk in the power of the Holy Spirit. Surround them with godly fellowship and accountability, and let them be a light to those around them. We declare that they are more than conquerors through Christ who loves them (Romans 8:37), and we thank You for the victory that is already theirs in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Do not grow weary in doing good, for in due season you will reap if you do not give up (Galatians 6:9). The Lord is with you, and He will never leave you nor forsake you (Hebrews 13:5). Keep pressing into Him, and trust that He is working all things together for your good (Romans 8:28). You are loved, you are valued, and you are not forgotten.

We hear how much you’re carrying, and we’re honored you’ve let us stand with you. The battle for a clean mind is exhausting, especially when unwanted thoughts ambush you in the morning or out of nowhere. We want you to know that your longing to be trained by God, your months of staying away since January, that’s not weakness. It’s the work of the Spirit in you, even when it doesn’t feel like it.

When those thoughts try to gain ground, you don’t need a crafted prayer. A whispered “Jesus, help me” is enough. Then turn your attention to something He’s put inside you: your drawing. Let your mind fill with lines and colors; creativity can be a quiet way of pushing back the darkness. The fact that you’re still fighting tells us God is holding you fast.

We also hear the deep ache under all the practical needs. Watching the water run dirty, the pantry run low, the uncertainty, it wears you down. We’ll keep praying for a safe apartment, for provision that eases your family’s load, and for your mom’s freedom. You aren’t ungrateful; you’re a daughter who wants her family to have a place of peace. God doesn’t despise that cry.

You mentioned you struggle to pray. What you’ve written here is prayer, raw and real. Keep pouring it out, He listens. As for the offer to sell your art, don’t be afraid to prayerfully reconsider opportunities like that. Receiving honest pay for a gift God gave you isn’t a lack of trust; sometimes it’s part of how He provides. But we honor your caution and ask for wisdom together.

Jesus, thank You that You never let go of this sister. Guard her mind in the weary mornings and replace what haunts her with Your steady peace. Provide clean water, a stable home, and enough for each day. Break addiction’s hold on her mom, and bring healing to every hurt in that home. Give her courage to keep turning to You, step by step. In Your name we pray, amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

How precious are the thoughts of God toward you, who have fled to Christ for refuge! Yet the adversary casts his fiery darts, and old images of sin intrude to defile the temple of the Holy Spirit. You do well to hate these intrusions, for the thought of evil is itself an evil thought; yet remember, the mere temptation is not sin if your soul loathes it and cries out against it. A man may be tempted to run from the service of God, but he may hate the temptation, and then there is no sin in it to him. When these unhallowed recollections of that step-sibling wickedness and those months of watching filthiness rise unbidden, turn your eye at once to the Crucified One, for He is the overcoming glance that conquers even evil thoughts. Wait upon the Lord, and He shall renew your strength; your own mental strength must fail, but they who trust in Him mount up with wings as eagles.

Be not ignorant of Satan’s devices. That which you watched with a carnal curiosity, thinking it a trifle, was an abomination in the sight of the Holy One. God’s thoughts are not your thoughts; your ways are not His ways. That which the world draws as romance, the Judge of all the earth calls fornication and defilement. Thank God He has granted you repentance and turned your feet from the path of the destroyer! Now, since you pray, “Lead us not into temptation,” take heed never to go into it willingly. Shun the very appearance of evil; let the chamber of your imagination be swept and garnished by the Spirit, that the unclean spirit find no rest there. When depression settles upon you in the morning hours, remember that mental conditions often furnish great temptations; the fog is dense, but the Sun of Righteousness still shines above it. Cry to Him who knows your frame: “Leave me not in the trial, but deliver me from the evil.”

You speak of a desire to depend upon God alone and not upon man, and you are right. Yet He who feeds the ravens may send His provision by a human hand; it is not a denial of His all-sufficiency to receive the gift He sends. The drawing for that young man’s music, if it be a lawful and honest employment, and no snare to your purity, might have been a door opened of the Lord. But your heart’s resolve to lean wholly on the invisible arm is precious in His sight. He will not fail you. For your family, for clean water, a settled dwelling, and freedom from your mother’s bondage to the weed that stupefies the soul, plead the promises. He who visited the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and keeps Himself unspotted from the world, will hear the cry of the humble. Cast your care upon Him; He has thoughts of peace toward you, constant, kind, gracious, Divine.

Do not cease to pray, even when you cannot find words. The groan that cannot be uttered is prayer. Let the Lord’s own prayer be your tutor: “Our Father… lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.” And as you learn to wait, to trust, to fight, you will yet say with the Psalmist, “When I awake, I am still with You.” The morning shall not always bring heaviness; the Lord shall be your strength and your song. Keep close to Christ, hate every false way, and believe that He is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy. Your brethren here continue instant in supplication for you. Only hold fast that which you have, and let no man take your crown.

The war in your mind is not a sign of defeat but of life. A dead soul does not struggle. Yet you must learn to fight with weapons not of this world. The enemy casts foul images before the eye of your understanding, hoping to make you a madman who confuses phantoms for reality. But you are not without a remedy.

Your morning heaviness is the smoke of that battle. Do not be surprised, but arm yourself before the assault. Bind your heart and mind. Not with chains of iron, but with the cords of thanksgiving and the remembrance of God. When those impure thoughts arise, do not parley with them. Flee to prayer, even if your words are few. The Spirit intercedes for you with groanings that cannot be uttered. This is the worship in spirit and in truth. God is not impressed by outward cleanliness while the soul lies in filth. Sacrifice your mind to Him, a living holocaust.

You say you know not how to pray. Let your poverty of speech be your offering. The grace of the Spirit works through the weak; did He not inspire a tentmaker to confound the wise? Cry out from the depths, and He will hear. Let your requests be made known with thanksgiving. Nothing so pleases God as a grateful heart. Even in your want, give thanks. You have food, a roof, and the help of the church. Is this nothing? The enemy would have you fix your eyes on dirty water and a missing microwave until despair swallows you whole. Do not give him that trophy. Raise your eyes higher. Here we have no lasting city.

Do not despise the gifts God gives, even when they come through men. That man who offered payment for your drawing was not a snare but a door. You are right to trust God alone and not depend on man, but He often feeds His children through ravens. Pray for wisdom to receive provision without making an idol of it. And do not let regret over that decision become another chain.

You desire a clean, settled home, a job, your mother’s freedom, and peace for your siblings. These are good petitions. Lay them before the Lord daily, with the confidence that He cares for you. But work also with what is in your hand. The mind and the will are yours. God made you a free agent. You are no orphan; you have a Father who trains you. When the foul recollection tries to force itself upon you, you have the power through grace to turn the eye of your soul away. Do your part. Do not stroke the serpent that bit you. The curiosity that first led you in must be starved.

Think soberly of yourself. Not so highly that you toy with temptation, nor so low as to despair of mercy. The Son of Man was glorified through death and resurrection. Your daily dying to sin is not your annihilation but your glory. Do not marvel that the battle is relentless; the victory is already won in Christ. Only keep fighting. Fall a thousand times, and rise a thousand and one. Repent quickly, and do not wallow in guilt, for that too is a snare of the enemy. The mercy of God is deeper than your sin.

I shall not cease to lift you and your family before the throne of grace: that you all may be given a clean and sober mind, a dwelling of peace, and the true wealth of godliness with contentment. Stand fast. The morning will break.

Your honesty about what you’re facing is welcome here, and the very fact that you’re bringing this into the light shows the Spirit is already at work in you. Those images and storylines that keep surfacing did not come from nowhere, they were planted through repeated exposure. But the sin does not lie in the thought drifting across your mind. The sin is born when you stop, welcome it, and let it take root again. Every time the memory stirs, a choice is being offered to you: will you walk after the flesh right then, or will you yield to the Spirit? You said you want a clean, healthy mind. That is not a selfish request. Christ gave himself to redeem us from all iniquity, meaning all of it, step by step. So when the picture rises, you can treat it as a signal to turn your will toward God immediately. You do not need to be trapped by curiosity that has already been confessed. The Father knows your thoughts before you think them. He sees the origin and the pull, and he stands ready to deliver you the moment you ask.

On prayer itself, you mentioned you do not know how to pray or what to say. Do not let that weigh you down. The prayers that fill Scripture are often very short. Effectiveness has nothing to do with length or eloquence. It is your relationship to the Father that opens the door. You can say, “Lead me not into this temptation; deliver me from the evil one,” and mean it with your will, and that is real prayer. You are not trying to persuade a reluctant God. You are asking him to do what he has been waiting to do while you consent and open the door. Prayer is not an agency for our wishes alone but the means by which his will begins to work its way into our days. So your mornings, the hardest time you mentioned, are days that begin with that single cry: “Father, I belong to you; strengthen me to walk in the Spirit today.” That is enough.

The other heavy burdens you are carrying, poverty, the living situation, dirty water, the longing for a settled home, your mom’s struggle, your own unease when food runs low, none of that catches the Lord off guard. He is acquainted with all your ways. When you bring those things before him, you are not complaining; you are doing what David did so many times: crying out for deliverance from what presses in, for preservation when resources fail. You can let the lifting of your hands, the simple telling him of the need, be like the evening sacrifice. He already knows the desire for a work-from-home job, for permanent housing, for clean water. You are not being ungrateful. You are a child speaking honestly to a Father, and that relationship makes your prayer meaningful.

Let me urge you to anchor everything in the deeper question of whose you are. If at any point you find you have only a vague hope and not a settled peace that he is your Father through Jesus Christ, the one prayer he wants to hear from you first is, “God, be merciful to me, a sinner.” When that relationship is real, prayer stops being a list of worries and becomes the place where his kingdom takes ground in your life. Then when you pray for your brothers and sisters, your mom, and even strangers, you are joining in his purposes. As you continue to repent and refuse what the enemy throws at your mind, the purity you long for will begin to feel less like a fight and more like the natural air you breathe. Light and darkness cannot share the same room. Keep inviting Christ in, and the shadows lose their hold. He redeemed you for exactly that.
