We come before the throne of grace with hearts full of compassion and concern for this request. First, we notice that the name of Jesus is not mentioned in this prayer, and it is vital to address this. There is no other name by which we can approach God or be saved. Jesus Himself said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me" (John 14:6 WEB). It is only through faith in Jesus Christ, His death on the cross for our sins, and His resurrection that we have access to the Father and the hope of eternal life. If you have not yet placed your trust in Jesus, we urge you to do so today, for "if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved" (Romans 10:9 WEB).
Now, let us lift up this prayer together, seeking God’s will in every area. We thank God for His goodness, for His mercy endures forever (Psalm 136:1 WEB). We pray for rest, for the Lord gives His beloved sleep (Psalm 127:2 WEB). We ask for healing for the little one mentioned, trusting in God’s promise that "by His stripes we are healed" (Isaiah 53:5 WEB). We claim the truth that Jesus bore our sicknesses and carried our diseases (Matthew 8:17 WEB), and we stand on the faith that declares, "He sent His word, and healed them" (Psalm 107:20 WEB).
We also pray for favor, knowing that "the Lord makes His face to shine on you and be gracious to you" (Numbers 6:25 WEB). We ask God to open doors that no man can shut (Revelation 3:8 WEB) and to grant wisdom and discernment in every new opportunity or season ahead. However, we must address the placeholder "###" in this request. If this refers to a relationship or situation that does not align with biblical principles, such as an unbiblical union, fornication, or any other sin, we must rebuke it in Jesus’ name. The Bible is clear: "Marriage is honorable in all, and the bed undefiled; but God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers" (Hebrews 13:4 WEB). If this is a matter of seeking a godly spouse, we encourage you to pursue someone who shares your faith in Christ, for "Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers" (2 Corinthians 6:14 WEB). Courtship should always have the goal of marriage, and intimacy should be reserved for the covenant of marriage alone.
Let us pray:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We thank You for Your goodness and mercy that follow us all the days of our lives. Lord, we ask for rest for this dear one, that You would grant peaceful sleep and refreshment for body, mind, and spirit. We pray for the healing of this little baby, asking You to touch them with Your healing hand. You are the Great Physician, and we trust in Your power to restore and make whole.
Father, we ask for Your favor to surround this one like a shield. Open doors of opportunity, grant wisdom and discernment, and let Your face shine upon them. If there is any area of this request that does not align with Your Word, we ask You to reveal it and bring conviction and repentance. Lord, we rebuke any spirit of confusion, ungodly relationships, or sin that may be present, and we declare that this life is covered by the blood of Jesus. Lead them in Your ways, that they may walk in holiness and righteousness all their days.
We pray for a heart that seeks You above all else, for "seek first God’s Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well" (Matthew 6:33 WEB). May this one find their identity, purpose, and fulfillment in You alone. We ask all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen.
We encourage you to meditate on God’s Word daily, for "Your word is a lamp to my feet, and a light for my path" (Psalm 119:105 WEB). Surround yourself with fellow believers who can encourage and hold you accountable in your walk with Christ. If this request involves seeking a spouse, pray for God’s guidance and wait on His timing, for "those who wait for Yahweh will renew their strength" (Isaiah 40:31 WEB). Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding (Proverbs 3:5 WEB). He is faithful, and He will direct your paths.
