We hear your cry for help and stand with you in fervent prayer, lifting every burden to the throne of grace in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. First, we must address the seriousness of what you’ve confessed, watching explicit, immoral content, especially that which glorifies sinful relationships like step-sibling intimacy, is a grievous offense against God’s holy design. The Bible warns us in 1 Corinthians 6:18-20 (WEB), "Flee sexual immorality! Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s." The enemy uses curiosity and temptation to ensnare, but we must resist him firmly in faith, as James 4:7 (WEB) declares, "Be subject therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you."
You are not alone in this battle. The morning struggles and mental fog you describe are not coincidences, they are spiritual attacks meant to weaken your resolve. But take heart, for 2 Corinthians 10:4-5 (WEB) reminds us, "For the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but mighty before God to the throwing down of strongholds, throwing down imaginations and every high thing that is exalted against the knowledge of God, and bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ." We must take every thought captive, replacing lies with truth. When those images resurface, combat them with Scripture, meditate on Philippians 4:8 (WEB), "Finally, brothers, whatever things are true, whatever things are honorable, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report: if there is any virtue and if there is any praise, think about these things."
We rebuke the spirit of addiction and perversion that has tried to claim your mind. You are not defined by your past mistakes, for 1 John 1:9 (WEB) assures us, "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." But forgiveness must be followed by repentance, a turning away from sin and toward God’s ways. You’ve already taken the first step by staying away since January, and we praise God for that victory! Now, we must press on, asking the Holy Spirit to renew your mind daily (Romans 12:2 WEB).
For your mental and emotional struggles, we pray for healing and peace. The mornings are often the hardest because the enemy knows that’s when we’re most vulnerable. But Psalm 121:5-6 (WEB) declares, "Yahweh is your keeper. Yahweh is your shade on your right hand. The sun will not harm you by day, nor the moon by night." Claim this promise over your mornings! We also lift up your concerns about food and provision. Matthew 6:31-33 (WEB) says, "Therefore don’t be anxious, saying, ‘What will we eat?’, ‘What will we drink?’ or, ‘With what will we be clothed?’ For the Gentiles seek after all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well." Trust God to provide, even when the lawyer or others fail you. He is your ultimate Provider (Philippians 4:19 WEB).
Your desire to depend solely on God is beautiful and right. The offer of money for your art was a test, would you trust in man or in God? Jeremiah 17:5 (WEB) warns, "Yahweh says: Cursed is the man who trusts in man, relies on strength of flesh, and whose heart departs from Yahweh." But Jeremiah 17:7-8 (WEB) promises, "Blessed is the man who trusts in Yahweh, and whose confidence is in Yahweh. For he will be as a tree planted by the waters, who spreads out its roots by the river, and will not fear when heat comes, but its leaf will be green, and will not be concerned in the year of drought. It won’t cease from yielding fruit." We pray for God to open doors for a work-from-home job that honors Him, one that doesn’t require ID but aligns with His provision. In the meantime, keep drawing for His glory, and ask Him to use your talent to bless others in ways that don’t compromise your faith.
For your mother and siblings, we pray for deliverance from addiction and spiritual bondage. 2 Timothy 1:7 (WEB) says, "For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control." We rebuke the spirit of addiction in your mother’s life and declare freedom in Jesus’ name! Pray for her daily, and ask God to soften her heart to His truth. For your siblings, we pray for protection and salvation, that they would come to know Christ intimately.
You mentioned an eating disorder and mental breakdowns when food is scarce. These are serious battles, and we encourage you to seek godly counsel if possible. Psalm 34:18-19 (WEB) says, "Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but Yahweh delivers him out of them all." God sees your pain, and He will sustain you. We also pray for your housing situation, may God provide shelter and stability, as Psalm 68:6 (WEB) declares, "God sets the lonely in families. He brings out the prisoners with singing, but the rebellious dwell in a sun-scorched land."
Let us pray together now:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We lift up this dear sibling in Christ, asking for Your mercy, healing, and deliverance. Lord, You know the battles they face, the temptations, the mental struggles, the fear, and the financial hardships. We ask You to break every chain of addiction, perversion, and anxiety that has tried to enslave them. Cleanse their mind, Father, and fill it with Your truth and peace. Renew their strength each morning, as Lamentations 3:22-23 (WEB) says, "It is because of Yahweh’s loving kindnesses that we are not consumed, because his compassion doesn’t fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness."
Lord, we rebuke the enemy’s lies and declare that this child of God is more than a conqueror through Christ Jesus (Romans 8:37 WEB). We pray for provision, open doors for a job that honors You, and meet every need according to Your riches in glory (Philippians 4:19 WEB). Heal their mind and body from the effects of stress and scarcity. Deliver their mother from addiction, and draw her and their siblings to salvation. Protect their housing and provide stability. Father, we ask for wisdom and discernment as they navigate life’s challenges. Teach them to pray without ceasing (1 Thessalonians 5:17 WEB) and to trust You in every circumstance.
We declare that no weapon formed against them will prosper (Isaiah 54:17 WEB), and that You will complete the good work You’ve begun in them (Philippians 1:6 WEB). Strengthen their faith, Lord, and help them to walk in victory each day. Thank You for Your unfailing love and grace. In Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.
You are not forgotten, and your struggle is not in vain. Keep pressing into God, even when it’s hard. Galatians 6:9 (WEB) encourages us, "Let’s not be weary in doing good, for we will reap in due season, if we don’t give up." Memorize Scripture, pray without ceasing, and surround yourself with godly influences, even if it’s through online sermons or Christian books. You are in a spiritual war, but the victory is already won through Christ. Stand firm, and let God fight for you!
