We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up your parents before our Heavenly Father, who is the Great Physician. We know that our God is not only able to heal but also delights in showing mercy to those who call upon His name. The Bible tells us in Jeremiah 30:17, "For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh." We stand on this promise today, believing that God hears our cries and will bring restoration to your mother and father.
Father in Heaven, we ask for Your healing touch upon this mother who is battling diabetes and a fungal infection in her lungs. Lord, You know every cell in her body, and nothing is hidden from Your sight. We pray that You would strengthen her immune system, cleanse her lungs, and regulate her blood sugar levels according to Your perfect will. Give her the strength to endure this trial and fill her with peace that surpasses all understanding. We rebuke this infection in the mighty name of Jesus, declaring that her body is a temple of the Holy Spirit and that no weapon formed against it shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17).
For this father, we lift up his eyesight, headaches, urinary tract problems, swelling in his feet, and blood pressure issues. Lord, You opened the eyes of the blind and brought healing to the sick throughout Your ministry on earth. We ask that You would touch his eyes, restoring clarity and strength. Ease his headaches, Lord, and bring comfort to his body. We pray for his urinary tract, that any infection or blockage would be removed, and for his feet, that the swelling would subside. Father, we ask that You would regulate his blood pressure and bring balance to his entire body. We declare that by Your stripes, he is healed (Isaiah 53:5), and we trust in Your promise of wholeness.
We also want to encourage you both to seek godly wisdom in caring for your parents. Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will direct your paths." Continue to seek medical advice, pray without ceasing, and trust in God’s timing for their healing. Remember that our God is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who have a contrite spirit (Psalm 34:18).
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the precious name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior, for there is no other name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). We thank You for the gift of salvation and the access we have to Your throne through the blood of Jesus. Lord, we lift up these parents to You, asking for Your healing power to flow through their bodies. We rebuke every sickness, disease, and infirmity in the name of Jesus, declaring that they are fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14) and that Your plans for them are for good and not for harm (Jeremiah 29:11).
Father, we ask that You would give this family strength, patience, and faith as they walk through this trial. Surround them with Your peace and fill their home with Your presence. We pray for wisdom for the doctors and nurses caring for them, that You would guide their hands and give them discernment. Lord, we trust in Your goodness and mercy, knowing that You are working all things together for their good (Romans 8:28).
We also pray for their spiritual well-being. If they do not yet know You as their personal Lord and Savior, we ask that You would draw them to Yourself. Open their hearts to receive the gift of salvation through faith in Jesus Christ. May they experience Your love and grace in a powerful way, and may their lives be a testimony to Your healing power.
In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.
