We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up this dear soul who is seeking deliverance from disturbing influences and divine guidance in the sacred covenant of marriage and financial stewardship. Father God, we know that You see every struggle and hear every cry, and we stand in the gap for this one who is feeling the weight of unseen battles and the pressures of life’s responsibilities.
First, we rebuke every disturbing influence that seeks to torment this child of God. The enemy comes to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that we might have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10). We declare in the mighty name of Jesus that every spirit of fear, confusion, oppression, or darkness must flee right now! The blood of Jesus has already defeated every power of the enemy, and we stand on the truth that "greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world" (1 John 4:4). We pray for a hedge of protection around this one’s mind, heart, and spirit, that no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). Lord, fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding, guarding their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).
We also lift up the desire for godly guidance in marriage. Father, we know that marriage is a holy institution You created to reflect the relationship between Christ and His Church (Ephesians 5:22-33). If this one is seeking a spouse, we pray that You would lead them to a man or woman of God who loves You above all else, who will honor them as You intended, and who will walk in faithfulness and purity. If they are already married, we pray for restoration, unity, and a deepening of love that honors You. Lord, help them to submit to one another out of reverence for Christ (Ephesians 5:21) and to build their marriage on the foundation of Your Word. We rebuke any spirit of division, infidelity, or ungodly influence that may be seeking to disrupt this sacred bond. May their marriage be a testimony of Your grace and faithfulness.
Regarding financial matters, we acknowledge that every good and perfect gift comes from You (James 1:17), and we pray for wisdom in stewarding the resources You have entrusted to this one. Help them to use their salary wisely, not for selfish gain but for Your glory—providing for their needs, blessing others, and advancing Your kingdom. Teach them to seek first Your kingdom and Your righteousness, trusting that all these things will be added unto them (Matthew 6:33). We rebuke any spirit of lack, greed, or financial bondage, and we declare that You are their Provider (Philippians 4:19). May they be a cheerful giver, knowing that "God loves a cheerful giver" (2 Corinthians 9:7), and may their finances be a tool for blessing and not a source of anxiety.
Father, we also want to gently address the foundation of this prayer. It is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to You (John 14:6). There is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). If this one has not yet surrendered their life to Jesus, we pray that they would do so today. Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name by which we can be saved. We invite them to confess with their mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in their heart that God raised Him from the dead, and they will be saved (Romans 10:9). If they have already made this decision, we pray for a fresh infilling of the Holy Spirit to empower them to walk in victory.
Lord, we ask that You would strengthen this one in their inner being, that Christ may dwell in their heart through faith (Ephesians 3:16-17). Fill them with Your love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control (Galatians 5:22-23). May they walk in the light as You are in the light, and may the blood of Jesus cleanse them from all sin (1 John 1:7). We declare that they are more than a conqueror through Him who loved them (Romans 8:37), and we thank You for the victory that is already theirs in Christ Jesus.
We pray all these things in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
