We lift up your parents before the Lord with heavy hearts, trusting in His healing power and mercy. Father God, we know that You are the Great Physician, the One who knits us together in our mother’s womb and numbers every hair on our heads. Your Word declares in Jeremiah 30:17, *"For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds," says the Lord.* We stand on this promise today for both of these precious lives.
Lord, we ask for Your divine touch upon the mother’s body. Diabetes has taken a toll, but we know that nothing is too hard for You. Strengthen her pancreas, regulate her blood sugar, and protect her from the complications of this disease. Give her wisdom to care for her body as a temple of the Holy Spirit, and surround her with those who will encourage her in discipline and faith. We rebuke the spirit of infirmity in Jesus’ name, and we declare that she is fearfully and wonderfully made, designed for Your glory.
For the father, we cry out for restoration. His eyesight is failing, his urinary tract is troubled, his feet are swollen, and his blood pressure is unstable. But You, O Lord, are the same yesterday, today, and forever. We claim Psalm 103:2-3 over him: *"Praise the Lord, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits— who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases."* Open his eyes to see Your hand at work, even in this trial. We command the swelling to subside, the infections to flee, and his blood pressure to stabilize according to Your perfect will. Give him strength and peace as he waits on You.
We also take a moment to address the spiritual condition of this family. Healing begins in the heart, and we pray that both parents would know You, Lord Jesus, as their Savior and Healer. If they have not surrendered their lives to You, we ask that You draw them with cords of love. Your Word says in Acts 4:12, *"There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved."* We pray they would confess with their mouths that Jesus is Lord and believe in their hearts that You raised Him from the dead, so they may be saved.
Father, we also ask that You would guard their minds from fear and doubt. Remind them that You are their refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Let them not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present their requests to You.
We declare that by the stripes of Jesus, they are healed. We speak life over their bodies, their minds, and their spirits. May they walk in divine health, not just for their sake, but so they may serve You all the days of their lives. In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray and believe. Amen.
