We lift up your son before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, knowing the weight of concern a parent carries for a child who is suffering. Father God, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, the Great Physician, who heals all our diseases and binds up our wounds (Psalm 103:2-3). Lord, Your Word declares that by Your stripes, we are healed (Isaiah 53:5), and we claim that promise over this precious young man. We ask that You touch his body with Your healing hand, restoring him to full health and strength. May Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard his heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7), calming every anxious thought and soothing every ache.
We pray that You would surround him with Your love and the comforting presence of the Holy Spirit. Let him feel Your nearness in his time of need, knowing that You are close to the brokenhearted and save those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). Father, we ask that You grant him quiet and rest, both physically and emotionally. Give him favor with his employer, that he may have the time and space he needs to recover without added stress or burden. May his boss show understanding and compassion, reflecting Your heart of mercy.
Lord, we also pray for protection over his mind and spirit. Guard him from fear, doubt, or discouragement, and fill him with the assurance of Your love and sovereignty. Remind him that You are his refuge and fortress, his God in whom he can trust (Psalm 91:2). May he find security in Your promises and rest in the knowledge that You are working all things together for his good (Romans 8:28).
We rebuke every spirit of infirmity and sickness in the name of Jesus, declaring that no weapon formed against him shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). We stand on Your Word, which says that the prayer of faith will heal the sick, and the Lord will raise them up (James 5:15). Strengthen his faith and ours as we trust in Your perfect will for his life.
Lastly, we pray that if he has not yet surrendered his life to You, Lord, that this season of struggle would draw him closer to You. May he come to know Jesus as his personal Savior and Lord, finding eternal peace and hope in Him. For there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). We ask all these things in the precious name of Jesus, Amen.
