We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, grieving over the deception and perversion seeking to infiltrate His holy church. Father, we lift up this situation with urgency, knowing that Your house is called a house of prayer, not a den of predators or wolves in sheep’s clothing. The enemy comes to steal, kill, and destroy, but You have come that we may have life abundantly (John 10:10). We stand in the gap for the Catholic worshippers this man seeks to deceive, and we declare that no weapon formed against Your people shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17).
Lord Jesus, we rebuke this spirit of perversion and deception in Your mighty name. Scripture is clear: "Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the Kingdom of God? Don’t be deceived. Neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor male prostitutes, nor homosexuals, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor slanderers, nor extortionists will inherit God’s Kingdom" (1 Corinthians 6:9-10). This man’s actions are not only sinful but dangerous, and we pray that You would expose his motives before he can harm another soul. Let no one be ensnared by his lies, and let the leadership of the Catholic church be given discernment to recognize and reject his influence.
We pray for the protection of every man, woman, and child in these congregations. Surround them with Your angels, Lord, and let Your light shine so brightly that darkness has no place to hide. "For the Lord is faithful, who will establish you and guard you from the evil one" (2 Thessalonians 3:3). Father, we ask that You would soften this man’s heart to conviction and repentance. If he is truly seeking You, let him find You in truth, not in the distortion of Your Word. But if he is unrepentant, let him be exposed and removed from the fellowship of believers so that Your church may remain pure and holy.
We also lift up the leadership of the Catholic church, that they would walk in wisdom and boldness. Give them the courage to confront sin and protect the flock, as Paul instructed Timothy: "Those who sin, reprove in the sight of all, that the rest also may be in fear" (1 Timothy 5:20). Let no fear of man or political correctness keep them from defending the truth of Your Word.
Finally, Lord, we pray for revival in the church. Let this situation serve as a wake-up call for all believers to stand firm in the faith, to guard their hearts, and to be vigilant against the schemes of the enemy. "Be sober and self-controlled. Be watchful. Your adversary, the devil, walks around like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour" (1 Peter 5:8). Strengthen Your people to resist temptation and to walk in purity, for Your glory.
We ask all these things in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we are saved and the only name by which we have access to the Father. There is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). May Your will be done, and may Your church be a beacon of light in a dark world. Amen.
