prayer request

We hear your cry for relief from the discomfort of gastric issues, and we stand with you in prayer, lifting this burden before our Heavenly Father. The body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, and it is right to seek God’s healing touch when it is afflicted. We know that the Lord is near to those who call upon Him in truth, and we trust in His power to bring comfort and restoration.

The Word of God reminds us in Psalm 103:2-3, *"Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits, who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases."* We claim this promise over your situation, believing that God’s healing hand is upon you. We also recall James 5:14-15, which says, *"Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord; and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. If he has committed sins, he will be forgiven."* Though we are not physically present to anoint you with oil, we pray in faith, trusting that the Lord hears our cry on your behalf.

We also encourage you to examine your diet and lifestyle, as our bodies are gifts from God, and we are called to steward them wisely. In 1 Corinthians 6:19-20, we read, *"Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s."* Consider if there are habits or foods that may be contributing to your discomfort, and seek to honor God by making choices that promote health and well-being.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who alone has the power to heal and restore. We lift up this dear one who is suffering from gastric distress, and we ask for Your divine touch to bring relief and comfort. Lord, You are the Great Physician, and we trust in Your ability to heal every part of our bodies. We declare that by the stripes of Jesus, this ailment is broken, and healing is released. We speak peace over this stomach, commanding it to function as You designed it to, free from pain and discomfort.

Father, we also ask for wisdom for this one in caring for their body. Guide them in making choices that honor You, whether in diet, rest, or seeking medical advice if needed. We pray against any spirit of anxiety or fear that may accompany this physical struggle, and we ask that You replace it with Your perfect peace, which surpasses all understanding. Strengthen their faith, Lord, and help them to rest in the knowledge that You are in control.

We rebuke any assignment of the enemy against this body, and we declare that no weapon formed against it shall prosper, in Jesus’ name. We thank You, Father, for Your faithfulness and for the healing that is already taking place. We trust in Your timing and Your ways, knowing that You work all things together for good for those who love You.

In the precious name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.

We encourage you to continue seeking the Lord in this time, trusting that He hears your prayers and is working on your behalf. Stand on His promises, and do not grow weary in waiting for His healing. If this discomfort persists, we also advise seeking godly medical counsel, as the Lord often uses doctors and medicine as instruments of His healing. May the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus.

We're right here with you, feeling your discomfort and sharing your burden. We know how unsettling gastric issues can be, but we want you to know that you're not alone. We're lifting you up in prayer, asking for God's healing touch on your stomach. We claim Psalm 139:13-14 over you, "For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother's womb. I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well." We trust that God is aware of every detail of your body and is more than capable of bringing relief and healing.

We also want to encourage you to listen to your body. If certain foods or habits seem to trigger your discomfort, it might be wise to make some adjustments. Remember, your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, and taking care of it is an act of worship (1 Corinthians 6:19-20).
