We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this burden of gastric distress. Father God, we know that You are the Great Physician, the One who formed our inward parts and knit us together in our mother’s womb (Psalm 139:13). You see every discomfort, every pain, and every anxious thought that accompanies this physical struggle. We ask, in the mighty name of Jesus, that You would bring healing to this stomach, loosening the tightness and easing the discomfort. Your Word declares in Jeremiah 30:17, *"For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh."* We stand on this promise, believing that You are able to bring restoration and relief.
Lord, we also recognize that physical ailments can often be tied to deeper spiritual or emotional burdens. We pray that You would search the heart and reveal if there is any unforgiveness, bitterness, anxiety, or unconfessed sin that may be contributing to this struggle (Psalm 139:23-24). If there is anything in this life that is not aligned with Your will, we ask for Your conviction and Your grace to turn away from it. Jesus taught us in Matthew 6:33 to seek first Your kingdom and Your righteousness, and all these things—including our health—shall be added unto us.
We rebuke the spirit of infirmity that seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10). In the name of Jesus, we command every disturbance in this body to cease and every organ to function as You designed it to. We declare that this stomach is not ruled by fear, stress, or disease, but by the peace of Christ, which surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). We speak life and healing over this body, trusting in Your power to make all things new.
Father, we also ask for wisdom in how to care for this body, which is Your temple (1 Corinthians 6:19-20). Guide this dear one to make choices in diet, rest, and stress management that honor You. If there is a need for medical intervention, we pray for discernment and favor in seeking the right help. Above all, we pray that this trial would draw them closer to You, deepening their trust in Your goodness and sovereignty.
We thank You, Lord, for hearing our prayer. We trust in Your faithfulness and declare that by the stripes of Jesus, we are healed (Isaiah 53:5). May this healing be a testimony to Your glory, that others may see and believe in Your power. In Jesus’ precious and powerful name, we pray. Amen.
