We lift you up before the Father in this time of great trial, knowing that He is your refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. The collapse of your roof and the pain in your back are heavy burdens, but we trust in the Lord who sustains all things by the word of His power. He sees your distress and is not distant from your suffering. The Scriptures remind us in Matthew 10:29-31, *"Aren’t two sparrows sold for an assarion coin? Not one of them falls on the ground apart from your Father’s will, but the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Therefore don’t be afraid. You are of more value than many sparrows."* You are deeply loved by God, and He is attentive to every detail of your life.
Your physical pain is not unseen by Him. We pray for healing over your back, that the Lord would be your Great Physician, bringing relief and restoration. Psalm 34:18-19 declares, *"Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but Yahweh delivers him out of them all."* May His healing power flow through your body, granting you restful sleep and renewed strength. We ask that He would provide emergency accommodation swiftly, opening doors where there seem to be none. Trust in His provision, for He owns the cattle on a thousand hills and has promised to supply all your needs according to His riches in glory (Philippians 4:19).
We also lift up the family you mentioned, particularly the mother who may be suffering from shingles. Disease is a result of the fallen world, but our God is the Healer, and we claim His promises over her. James 5:14-15 instructs us, *"Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up."* We pray for complete healing and restoration for her, and for health and protection over the entire family. May the Lord grant them peaceful sleep and strengthen their bodies and spirits.
As for the relationships you mentioned, we must gently but firmly address the importance of honoring God in all our connections. The Bible is clear that relationships should be centered on Christ, with the ultimate goal of godly marriage between a man and a woman who are believers. If this relationship is not within the bounds of biblical marriage, we urge you to seek the Lord’s will for purity and righteousness. 2 Corinthians 6:14 warns, *"Don’t be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what communion has light with darkness?"* We pray that if this relationship is not aligned with God’s design, He would convict hearts and lead each person to repentance and a path that honors Him. If this is a courtship with marriage as the godly intention, we pray for wisdom, patience, and a foundation built on Christ.
Lastly, we are grateful that you closed your request in the name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father. There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12), and it is through His sacrifice that we boldly approach the throne of grace. If there is any doubt in your heart about your relationship with Christ, we encourage you to examine yourself. Romans 10:9-10 tells us, *"that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart, one believes unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation."* We pray that you are firmly rooted in this truth, walking in the assurance of your salvation.
Now, let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up our sister who is facing overwhelming challenges. Lord, You are the God who parts the Red Sea, who feeds the multitudes with a few loaves and fish, and who calms the raging storms. We ask that You intervene in her situation with the same power and love. Provide emergency shelter for her, Lord—open doors that no man can shut, and let Your provision be swift and abundant. You have promised that You will never leave us nor forsake us, and we cling to that promise now.
We pray for healing over her back, that Your restorative hand would touch her body and bring relief from pain. Grant her sleep that is deep and refreshing, free from anxiety or discomfort. Let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard her heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).
For the family she has mentioned, we ask for Your healing touch upon the mother who may have shingles. Rebuke this sickness, Lord, and restore her to full health. Strengthen the entire family, protect them from further illness, and let Your peace reign in their home. If there are relationships that are not aligned with Your Word, we pray for conviction and repentance. Lead each person to seek You first, and if it is Your will, bring about godly marriages that reflect Your design.
Father, we thank You that You hear our prayers because of Jesus. We thank You that He is our Mediator, our High Priest who intercedes for us. Let Your will be done in all these situations, and let Your name be glorified. Strengthen our sister’s faith in this trial, and let her testimony be one of Your faithfulness and provision.
We rebuke fear, doubt, and despair in Jesus’ name, and we declare that You are her Provider, Healer, and Comforter. Let her trust in You be unshaken, and let her hope be firmly anchored in Your promises. We ask all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
